One thing I'd like to see from Government is more RP in game and less forum work, make forum work involvement as minimal as possible and provide more RP for the faction members, ways for them to interact with the public.

I spent hours back in another community doing nothing but forum work while in a perfect world I would have been RPing instead.

When it comes to realism, Police, Fire, Government and so on are jobs that are 75 percent paperwork. If you want to keep it realistic a lot of writing and typing is involved. However, if they are able to make it so that paperwork could be done in-game, lets say have the forums connected to the server somehow and that you are able to do your paperwork actually in game. I don't know if that's something that could be done or is worth the time.

We can embed any HTML/Web page in-game with GT-MP (The login form in-game is a web page for example), so it can definitely be done, I can even code something specifically for it, not normal forums, if it's widely requested.

That be awesome, Cause that way when you are in-game you are more connected to your character when pushing papers and can actually throw some role play innit. The smallest of things matter when it comes to roleplay, like stepping away from your desk to get some coffee or go out for a smoke. It makes paperwork more enjoyable roleplay wise.

Just because I can do the paperwork without tabbing out doesn't mean that I want to do loads of it, it's understandable that it will be necessary but most (not all) people find it draining and that it takes away from the enjoyment of the game.

I think you're miss understanding what Felicity is asking, all she wants is a system so that we CAN do paperwork whilst in game, gives furniture within GOV Factions a reason and a benefit for us to Roleplay paperwork instead of logging off and doing it in our free time. Now in regards to how much paperwork all depends on the Faction leaders and how they can reduce the amount we do, that's another sort of suggestion. I think that's the answer.

That's what I meant indeed!

As far as the paperwork goes for those types of factions, I wouldn't necessarily say it's true, especially for law enforcement. Regardless, I think we should go easy on paperwork during the opening stages on the server to give everyone some time to adjust to how everything works before instantly jumping to all of this forum work. As far as paperwork goes for a police department, I've visited an LAPD friend that works in LAPD's Technical Investigation Division (TID), and field requests are something that I've seen plenty of. They're basically requests made by a patrol officer asking a Forensic Print Specialist to go out to a crime scene and collect fingerprints to use as evidence in a crime. It's actually pretty cool stuff. If it's possible, a fingerprint system or something like that would be awesome. It'll give law enforcement a bit of an edge and it'll require criminals to be smart when it comes to committing crimes.
