  1. GTA World is an escape from reality for most, it offers a way to communicate, have fun and to make and meet friends from all corners of the world. Friends embracing different nationalities, races, sexualities, religions, beliefs and the like. We aren't going to bring an ongoing war that is causing the loss of so many innocent lives onto our platform. Members of this community are suffering through this war and its effects as it continues to go on, we're not going to ruin their experience and the small time they get to escape a very scary reality by giving it any IC credence. If you wish to discuss what is currently going on in the world, you are free to do so respectfully and responsibly in any OOC channels that allow it. To answer the question posed in the beginning, it's always best to steer IC politics away from sensitive OOC events, if you're ever unsure of what falls under that, reach out to a member of the Staff team for clarification before pursuing it ICly.
  2. Congratulations everyone. Thank you @FearnR for being a great mentor and a better friend. Hope the next chapter of your journey is a great one, stay safe and see you around man.
  3. People being creative doesn't lead to unrealistic characters. Dumb people being uncreative does. I would emphasize for originality and creativity any day over more of the norm, I'd much rather take part in interesting, thoughtful and compelling roleplay than the same standardized roleplay repeatedly.
  4. Just be original and be creative. Both are sorely lacking unfortunately. We get it, you're a quirky little ball of fun that likes committing double homicides in public with your legally obtained pistol. Do something different.
  5. I'm going to lock this before it ends up getting out of hand or it inevitably goes off track and turns into just bashing the staff team or members of the community. You've all raised some good points and I thank you for being somewhat civil in what is for the most part, a very sensitive discussion about a divisive topic. Our enforcement of rules like this hasn't changed since the onset of the server, our goal is to create a welcoming environment for those of all colours, creeds, religions, sexualities and the like. In doing so, we do need to be quite strict on what is and isn't allowed in our server and on our server's platforms. What may seem inoffensive to you may offend others, so it's important that some middle-ground and balance is made so every party feels welcomed and is able to play on our server without feeling like they are being discriminated or offended. While certain members may feel like someone who is as pale as a ghost OOCly blurting out the N word with no restrictions is fine, other members may take offense to this and in turn, may not feel welcomed in the community, which as I've said above, is something we never want to happen. If the communication taking place is not on our server's platforms and is taking place in a private chat between you and your group of friends that is not tied to the server in any way, then we do not enforce our rules in most situations as it does not directly effect us or our server. However, if you are on our server, using our systems to communicate (ex: faction chat) or are communicating in a place associated with our server (ex: faction discords), you are expected to follow our servers rules, as you are still communicating in an environment bearing a connection to our server. Just because offensive communication and at times, hate speech, happens in unregulated online games like Fortnite or Call of Duty does not mean it happens here. We have rules in place and Administration members at hand to make sure that our environment caters to everyone and that every single person can feel comfortable and able to roleplay and have fun without the worry of being labelled for skin colour, sexuality, religion or their culture. I hope this is able to clear up some concerns a little as to why we are very strict on any and all forms of hate speech. If you need further clarification, don't hesitate to contact me further on Discord.
  6. I'm going to lock this as it's been suggested numerous times before and the answer remains the same as it's always been, a resounding no. This isn't to say you are entirely wrong, we do value the transparency aspect and I can assure you we try to be as open as possible with whomever made the staff report, if they wish for an update on how it is proceeding and being handled, they are more than welcomed to ask in the private conversation the report was originally started in, though you need to understand that there is only a few of us in Staff Management and we all have lives outside of GTA World, so patience is key there. Our staff work extremely hard day in and day out, they sacrifice time with their loved ones, families, friends and the like to ensure you all have a comfortable, safe and fun environment to roleplay in. Are they immune to making mistakes and absolutely perfect? No, nobody is and nobody ever will be. They are human like every single one of us. If they mess up, we talk to them and we sort it out privately. We're a staff team, we work together to ensure that mistakes are picked up upon and learned from. There is nothing to be gained in regards to opening them up to every single eye available, letting the people who dedicate hours, months and years of their time to assist you be publicly mocked and humiliated does nothing but negatively effect the team. Once again, on the subject of openness and transparency, if you wish to know about your staff report's status and how the investigation into it is proceeding, you can ask and we'll do our best to get back to you in a timely manner. Otherwise, they will remain internal as they have since GTA World's inception, and how they will continue to remain.
  7. You can and should be proud of whatever race, sexuality and gender you belong to. You, however, have an extremely warped perspective on what's deemed acceptable behaviour and what belongs in a public discord server. You've already been banned from our Discord and in-game for your severe attitude problems, it was not due to your race or any 'injustices' you may have felt were present. We have players from all around the globe, each sharing different cultures, upbringings and backgrounds. You were given several chances to attempt to correct your attitude problems and you continued to ignore each warning, in fact, you proceeded to get worse and worse. That's what led to your removal both in-game and on discord, nothing else. Do not use our forums to advertise your private discord server. We have a perfectly functioning discord and have for some time now. The only reason you no longer have access to it is because of your own repeated mistakes within it. Once again, we support equality for all, and as such, equality also means you face the same punishment as everyone else when violating our rules. Any further attempts to advertise your discord server as a way to subvert your existing ban will result in your ability to post being removed. Instead, you should appeal your bans here.
  8. Welcome to the new kids. Look forward to bully-- working with you.

    The recent riots

Locking this. Pretty obvious how out of hand the thread's gotten.
  11. Going to be locking this for the time being to prevent further arguing amongst players. The issue is being discussed internally, a statement will be posted once management is ready to do so.
  12. Congrats all. Look forward to bully-.. welcoming our new support!

    Body types [Add-on]

    Archived upon topic-creator's request.
  14. Screenshot Gallery isn't an appropriate place to create a thread for a faction. We have a faction section for a reason, please follow the instructions listed here: Will be locking and archiving this. It's a cool concept, but you need to go through the proper channels in order to create a faction thread and subsequently, a faction.

    Player Kill

Going to be locking this. What started out as a genuine question regarding the nature and confusion surrounding PK's turned into nothing more than a petty back and fourth argument. All of the unnecessary and needless replies have been hidden. Nobody cares which side have the biggest sticks or who's the most Mexican-y Mexican faction. Sometimes a person just wants to have an open discussion on a topic confusing them, there's no need for the attitudes that were displayed here at all. @Hashdowns said it best, you want things to improve? Communicate with each other in a decent manner, have open-discussions on the issues that are effecting you and work together to make things make sense for both sides. Don't turn a discussion into an argument, turn it into something constructive. Both sides are better then this.
