  1. *In your character's bored browsing of the internet, they find a mysterious link to an independent local news project simply titled: 'PARADISE'. The website is quite plain; white background and black text accompanying a slew of images that are blurred until clicked. Everything is center-aligned. There's an imageboard comment section below.* My name's Ash. I'm an independent crime photojournalist. I've run pieces on Flint, Detroit, Baltimore, and Portland. None of those places hold a candle to the island of Los Santos in the slightest, but they don't pretend. Los Santos may be fake, but the images you're about to see are 100% real. This is an uncensored look into what the news media won't cover. Your sunny tropical paradise in its naked glory. GRAPHIC CONTENT WARNING - 18+ 04:00 AM AUG 04 2021 First impressions weren't great. I landed on the island and got in my waiting van, needing to travel through the fabled South Central to make my way to the city's center. On my way, I noticed something peculiar in an alley to my right. A man was there with a few more. He had an UZI sub-machine gun in his right hand, pointing the muzzle at two guys he'd proned out against the wall. An armed robbery less than an hour in was how I knew I'd struck my grim gold. I booked a room at a motel I'll neglect to name and got a horrible few hours of sleep. Fucking jet lag. 09:33 AM AUG 04 2021 Street fight in El Burro Heights, at nine in the morning. You'd think these kids would be in school, but not here. Learning isn't necessary for the unfortunate life most are living in Los Santos. Held down by the government's ineptitude and false promises. Social programs that never come to fruition. I watched these two duke it out for three minutes. 10:38 AM 04 AUG 2021 Three guys hit the novelty shop together. They parked on the walkway and bought ski masks. I love a good masquerade. 10:43 AM 04 AUG 2021 The desperate and the dispossessed of Mission Row was one of the few truths this city had to offer me. Though, it didn't seem as bad in person. Maybe Los Santos projects its hate here and blames the homeless for the problems in the rest of the town. That's just an opinion. 10:00 PM 04 AUG 2021 A group gathers around the 24/7 I caught that fight at. Seems there's some kind of Sheriff's scene here. Couldn't tell you what about, I wasn't able to get close enough for that kind of blurb to put here. 10:11 PM 04 AUG 2021 Los Santos Police Department... tactical? Staging for something. Might have been something big. Didn't take the risk in following them there. Those SWAT guys don't play around. 10:33 PM 04 AUG 2021 Found this guy shot to death in the middle of the street. People were driving around him like he wasn't just lying there bleeding. One guy ran over his legs in a delivery van. Come rain, shine, or gore, the package got there, I guess. I called for Fire Department, but they didn't arrive in the ten minutes I waited. There were motorcycles swarming me so I left. 00:45 AM 05 AUG 2021 Some kind of police operation behind the Pillbox Bank. Probably a search warrant, if the last image is anything to go off of. I climbed a fire escape to take these pictures. Someone followed me up- homeless guy. He took one look at me leaning over the edge with a camera and left. He didn't even say anything. I don't blame him, honestly. Fucking weird. 03:34 AM 05 AUG 2021 Blood in the streets in the district of Rancho. Brass litters the blacktop like glimmering gold. No-one cares, and the world keeps turning. Somewhere out there, someone has been shot. Maybe we'll never know. 03:55 AM 05 AUG 2021 Two guys try to strong-arm me into not taking any pictures of the car accident they're involved in, for some reason. They were stuffing a motorcyclist into the back seat of a white car. I'll film where I please, unless there's a sign. Sorry, gents. Just the way the cookie crumbles. If you don't like film you shouldn't have moved to LS. 04:14 AM 05 AUG 2021 I found this girl shot outside of a strip club. One in the stomach. She was still conscious and lucid. She complained about the photograph until I started dressing her wounds and called EMS. Fire Department arrived and took care of her. I hope she's alright now, because she sure wasn't looking good when I arrived. 04:18 AM 05 AUG 2021 I was interrupted from helping the Fire Department by gunfire on an adjacent street. Twelve shots. Then six more. The rounds were going off even as I was driving toward the hair-raising reports of two or more handguns. When I arrived, I found another man lying face-down in an alleyway. He'd been shot to death, there was no way around that. I took a picture. As I was adjusting my focus, another man walked up and began running his pockets. I'm pretty sure he took everything. Sheriff's Department caught the guy being a vulture. He had a gun on him. Maybe it's an open-and-shut case. Maybe he's just a buzzard. 04:41 AM 05 AUG 2021 This deputy begged me to put him in 'the paper.' I didn't get a very good image because they were leaving anyway. Some kind of gunfight happened under the Strawberry Overpass. Right in the heart of the homeless camp, too. 06:09 AM 05 AUG 2021 A trucker is beaten up while making a delivery on the beach. Such a pretty view to be jumped to. That trucker should thank the attacker for such a thrilling and beautiful experience. 08:04 AM 06 AUG 2021 Two men get in an ego battle outside the bar I was at. Fists start flying while my camera's rolling. Checkered shoes won, and then he took it further. He stomped the guy on the ground until I saw blood leaking from his nose and he stopped groaning. Guy just walks off. It's only a murder of a dude you don't even know. Don't worry, scumbag. You'll get yours one day. 06:14 AM 07 AUG 2021 I foolishly go back to that bar the next day. When I'm just about to pull up, I hear shots pop off around the corner. I waited a few minutes then pulled around. There was a guy there- he'd been shot at least a dozen times. I couldn't help him even if I tried. The only way I can help him is by making sure he's not just a number in a drawer. This image makes him immortal. 06:23 AM 07 AUG 2021 Another body, less than five hundred feet away. I passed by him as I was driving away from the first one. He looked like he'd been there a while, and he'd been beaten to death with something. My guess was a brick or a bat. Who could tell? People kept using the clothing store, walking right around him like he didn't exist. People have a habit of that in LS it appears. 07:43 AM 07 AUG 2021 Yet another body outside this goddamn clothing store. This time, someone appeared to give a shit, but only because he was blocking the glass doors from opening with his inconvenient dead self. I'm sure they would have gone around otherwise. Los Santos is such a beautiful hellscape. Enjoy it while you're here, and remember, life is short and can end at any time. The photographs you've seen today were taken in only three days of roaming Los Santos. Every minute, every hour, something like this is happening. It's up to you whether or not you want to acknowledge it and push for change, or keep drinking the nightclub kool-aid and push those rose-tinted glasses further up on your nose. I'll be back for volume two at some point. PARADISE VOLUME II: SODOM & GAMORRAH PARADISE VOLUME. 2. Short description: Make the /startshipment be more user-friendly. Detailed description: It came to my attention today that /startshipment is a mess and there's no way for you to sort out the menu at all by categories, which is in my opinion what's more important because if your business is not on extra pay it wouldn't show up as the top one, but if we're having different categories such as alcohol, clothing, ink, etc it'd be easier for the truckers to focus on what they'd want to do. Commands to add: Nothing. Items to add: Nothing. How would your suggestion improve the server? Better user interface and user experience. Additional information: I made a quick mockup for it on how it'd be approachable, could also add SORT BY times, crates requested, etc but I didn't include it on this one since I was just trying to come up with the category sorting quickly. Either way, I've seen what GTAW designers and devs do I'm sure they could come up with something.

  3. This sums up why the suggestion is unworkable. Unless it's changed recently, server management distastes NPC's existing in any fashion - the server population is who's in Los Santos, so this makes the crime rate astronomical given the actual server population. Even if we implied NPC's populated the system, it's still probably higher than any city in the U.S. CCWs really aren't even "sky high". By LSPD's statistics on https://fld.gta.world/ there's only 1,261 active CCW licenses. Out of 116,000 users, not even characters. That's one CCW for every 116 players. Sure, a lot of those aren't active anymore, but a majority are. Even being very conservative and saying only 50,000 players are active, that's still one CCW per fifty players. That's among the lowest when many states are closer to 1:10, those stats are available here: https://www.gunstocarry.com/concealed-carry-statistics/#numbers This isn't entirely factual. The "many training courses" is literally a 8 hour course on how not to shoot yourself. The "good cause" thing is already a thing in SA CCW requirements. "Good cause" is just a lot easier to argue in a city as crime riddled as Los Santos. There are no other requirements other than don't be a felon. Also, San Andreas isn't California legally. Many other states have much more lax CCW laws. For example, in Pennsylvania over 1 million people have CCW's out of 9 million. Most states in the U.S are "shall issue" CCW states where unless you are a felon, addict, etc they have to issue a CCW permit. California is the exemption, not the rule. Tl;dr is this suggestion makes a problem where one really doesn't exist; CCW's aren't as common as people think, and, if anything, given current crime rates it should be easier to get weapons to defend yourself than it is now. Sure, we can argue "kitty eared mallrats" all day, but in a city with South African crime levels the natural response is people arm themselves.

  4. Hello! A few years back, I created a character creation form for myself to ensure that I would always have a reference for the rich backstory I envisioned for my characters. I've recently polished it up and trimmed it down, reducing it to a more manageable size, with a few empty spaces here and there to allow for expansion. To create the form, I used a guide on character creation for books as a base and tailored it to be user-friendly for gtaw, with all the necessary information about your character in one place. Unfortunately, as it requires filling out and potentially moving things around, it cannot be saved as a pdf. Instead, I saved it as a .docx file that can be easily opened on Microsoft Word or Google Docs. I'd love to hear your thoughts and feedback on the form. I hope it proves useful in your own character creation process or helps you further develop your existing character(s). Personally, I find it incredibly handy to have open in the background when roleplaying with others, delving into my character's past. EDIT: The v1.1 download appears to have broken. I have since added a couple of more sections at the bottom, creating version 1.2, and I'm now hosting the file on discord instead, so hopefully this link stays working. Download version 1.2

  5. The E/S Skyline Pirus (SLP) also known as the E/S Rollin 80's Neighborhood Piru, are primarily an African-American blood criminal gang originated in San Diego, California. They are believed by law enforcement to be the largest blood gang in San Diego. The Skyline's has been on the police radar since the 1970s. The Skyline Pirus, allow difference ethic groups to join including Polynesian/Pacific Islanders, Asians, and Mexican-Americans. The Rollin 80's Piru are a relocated Piru gang from Mirror Park (Skyline Park) to South Central. The Skyline neighborhood consist of two cliques listed as the Rollin 80's (81st Park Boys) and the Bottom Boyz (Meadow 68th 69th street). Skyline is a very diverse neighborhood and home to one of the largest concentrations of African-Americans in the City. Current demographics for the neighborhood are as follows: people of Hispanic heritage make up 36.4%, followed by African-Americans at 31.6%, Asian at 19.9%, non-Hispanic Whites 7.0%, Mixed Race at 4.4% and others 0.6%[9] It ranked 112 out of 125 San Diego neighborhoods in terms of lowest percentage of non-Hispanic whites, and 13 out of 125 San Diego neighborhoods in terms of total population that is non-White (roughly 93.0%). Operation Red Sky In 2009, Los Santos city authorities led a five or six months investigation called "Operation Red Sky", which resulted in "93" arrest as well as over 20 guns, marijuana plants, 10 pounds of harvested cannabis, about 20 pounds of cocaine and crack, two pounds of methamphetamine, 18 vials of PCP, over 3,000 ecstasy scripts roughly estimated to $60,000 in cash. Skyline Enemies The Rollin 80's Piru are responsible for a large portion of gang related shootings throughout the South-East of South Central, Los Santos. The Skyline's have a all out hate for the Neighborhood Crips that has been going on for 14 year's in counting. After a Rollin 80's Piru member was shot down at a bar by ECC & NHC affiliate's the war between the gang's have been consistent since the early 1990's. Rivals include: All Neighborhood Crips, 59 Brims, East Coast Crips, and the Sureno 13s. Turf & History The East Side Skyline Piru, also known as the Rollin 80’s Piru’s, originally formed in Mirror park in the mid 70’s. Throughout the years they dominated Mirror park, being labeled as the biggest blood gang by the Mirror Park Police Department. During the early 2000’s, Mirror Park began to become gentrified, with heavy police activity throughout the neighborhoods, thus forcing the East Side Skyline Piru to relocate in the South Central Davis area, specifically Forum drive. Once relocated to South Central, the East Side Skyline Piru were met with hostility from the Rolling 40 Neighborhood Crips, which lead to an all out bloody war between the Skyline Piru’s and the Rollin 40’s Neighborhood Crips. Lives were being taken left and right, which eventually called for immediate action from the Davis Police Department. The war ended with the Rollin 40's Neighborhood Crips deciding to relocate, leaving the Skyline Piru victorious in the gruesome war. To this day, the entire Neighborhood Crip Card and the Skyline Piru go at each others throats, leaving the Skyline Piru enemies of the entire Neighborhood Crip Card due to the relationships both sides have with the Rollin 40's. OOC Information If your interested in joining the Skyline's you must meet us through IC interactions or simply DM'ing StayGrimey or Morte666 on the forums. This faction will be portraying & showcasing lifestyle of a Rollin 80's Piru member. We will not be harboring any trolling or rule breaking in this faction, players must be on a mature stand point OOC'ly and IC'ly. If you are interested please join our discord down linked down below.

  6. Abolition of Death Penalty Act of 2021: Forty law enforcement officers petition Governor Brandt to veto latest Democrat bill BY HANNAH PRESCOTT Los Santos, SA - On 8th August 2021, President Pro Tempore of the Senate, Republican Frank Ernst received a petition and signatures from forty law enforcement officers condemning the Abolition of Death Penalty Act of 2021 that was recently passed in the Senate, after Secretary of State Guillermo Perez broke a tie in favor of Democrats in the latest Senate vote two days ago. (Floor debate) Forty law enforcement officers sent a signed petition to Governor Brandt against the bill proposed by Democratic Senator Valeria Reyes. "A young man from Rancho inspired me, the place where I was born. A young man who was heavily under the influence of narcotics, and had murdered a law enforcement officer as a result. He plead guilty in court in tears, gave a heartfelt speech and evidence was provided that he was indeed making a change of his life in prison. Nonetheless, he was sentenced to death by capital punishment. It is a ruthless, merciless and barbaric punishment. His case made me dive deeper into it. I am extremely proud of what we have achieved, and we are now a step closer to a more progressive San Andreas. This young man's name was Anthony Ramirez. I hope Ramirez's family and friends in Rancho are watching. His cruel death by our judiciary system has not gone unnoticed", said Ms. Reyes in an interview for LSNN after the Senate hearing. (The petition) "This partisan legislation would undermine the safety of the law enforcement community and give individuals convicted of capital crimes a free pass. It is unacceptable", is a part of the law enforcement officers' words in the petition. "Of course I am strongly against this bill. Law enforcement deserves to be safe too. It would motivate criminals to commit murders, knowing that all they would get is a life sentence in prison. Rapists and murderers should not be rewarded with the ability to continue their life in prison as if nothing happened and leech off the taxpayers' money", said a deputy in a statement for LSNN. Sources state that more law enforcement officers are getting ready to sign the petition. > Comments are enabled Username: Comment:

BY DENNIS SIDWELL Los Santos, SA - On 8th August 2021, President Pro Tempore of the Senate, Republican Frank Ernst received a petition and signatures from forty law enforcement officers condemning the Abolition of Death Penalty Act of 2021 that was recently passed in the Senate, after Secretary of State Guillermo Perez broke a tie in favor of Democrats in the latest Senate vote two days ago. The petition was then sent to Governor Brandt. Exclusively, Governor Robert Brandt allegedly considers veto after forty law enforcement officers signed a petition against abolishing death penalty, a source from the Governor's Office tells LSNN. (Robert Brandt) LSNN reached out to the Governor's Office for official statement. "The Office of the Governor of San Andreas reviews each legislative bill in great detail before deciding whether to pass a bill into law. The Governor has received the petition but has issued no comment at this stage", a representative from the Governor's Office tells LSNN. (The petition) Sources state that more law enforcement officers are getting ready to sign the petition.
