  1. Added Palmer-Taylor Power Station to the restricted crime zones list.
  2. Progressed to official. Good luck and a job well done!
  3. It's a possible scenario, yes. Something to think of.
  4. Another point to bring up here is PK. I think we need to reconsider what PK means. People just PK to get away from stuff. It's weird to have someone die and then show up back to life without anything happening to him beyond that. PK should be considered as "long time in the hospital" rather than death. If a debuff to injured people is added, it should also affect those who decide to PK all of the time instead of RPing their injuries.
  5. I hope it'll be possible when we implement the changes! It caused the server to crash a lot 😕 Hopefully, our sick modders and devs can overcome the issues!
  6. Noting this for myself! A lot of activity issues are starting from lack of RP, lack of support and lack of involvement by the community in this RP. For every 1 player that plays with them, 10 others either disconnect, don't respond, ask to skip, say that they "have to go" and then log back in 5 minutes later. This RP, as it stands nowadays, is boring and less attractive for both sides that are involved in it. The reasoning behind this topic is to develop this RP, make it attractive and interesting, and with that activity will raise too.
  7. It could definitely turn into a business concept for people to have!
  8. Let's not use this topic as a method of bashing factions and moreso fo looking towards the future 🙂
  9. What do you guys think about paid healthcare? having people pay for treatment & ambulance services and the ability to have health insurance that reduces costs?
  10. Hey everyone! Server management and LFM are looking to push forward the medical roleplay aspect of our community and further develop it! We are seeking ideas and suggestions and we would like to know what you, as our community members, think we should do to make this field of roleplay more entertaining, interesting, and attractive. We are open to hearing about anything from new factions to complex script implementations. Whether it's an illness system or a more advanced injury system, we want to hear it all!! Please, use this topic to discuss and share your ideas 😄😄
  11. No. As others said, plates are almost invisible to read IG, compared to real life. Removing it completely is just unfair. -1
  12. Bumped to an official faction, congratulations!
  13. As fatcat said, no differences will be made between civilians and factions. Factions will be instructed to contract mechanic shops / open internal mechanic divisions to fix their vehicles upon demand.
  14. This request keeps coming up once in a while and gets denied each time. /onduty do not show the right number of faction members that can respond to calls. Unlike other factions, in FD you have many people who do not take part in medical/firefighting activities and /onduty cannot present those who can rightfully, which is something that causes other people to believe that online FD members are ignoring their emergency calls when they are not. Until /onduty will be able to show the number of members correctly. this constant request to bring FD back to /onduty will continue to be denied.
  15. Hell yes!! @george?, @JayPeezy , @Fireworks
  16. LEGAL FACTION MANAGEMENT Davis High School General rules. Being in High School is a time of constant change. It is here where most people find their social groups for years to come, find their cliques, and their rivals and enemies. To allow for a safe and enjoyable experience for all players, a set of baseline rules were created regarding the general Davis High as a faction and as a roleplay hub for the community. 1) Scope: The purposes of these rules are to define a set of baseline rules regarding the roleplay hub known as Davis High School. These rules apply to all players wishing to involve themselves with the faction and the general community surrounding Davis High School, as well as the area. The following rules are being put in place in order to ensure a safe and realistic RolePlay environment for people to RP in. Considering the location of the faction and the nature of the RolePlay involved in this area, several regulations will be set to complement and alterate the High School's classification as a Restricted Crime Zone. These alterations of the Restricted Crime Zone classification mentioned within this document are only pertinent to Davis' High School, and as such do not count as server-wide alteration to the definition of a Restricted Crime Zone. 2) Area of effect: The rules and regulations established in this post will take effect in the area designated by a green overlay in the following picture, demarcating the grounds of the high school, and therefore the grounds of the Restricted Crime Zone. 3) Types of Crime Roleplay authorized with no prior administrator approval The following Crime Roleplay scenes will be allowed and encouraged without prior approval required from the administration team: Minor-scale drug dealing Small fights ( as an example: 3-4 involved players) Minor/petty crime (with common courtesy in mind) 4) Types of Crime Roleplay requiring approval from an administrator: Without prior administrator approval, a player may not: Participate in large brawls ( as an example: 5+ involved players). Any serious crime, such as major assaults and others. (Approval may be given or denied at the handling administrator's discretion) Large scale drug operation. 5) Forbidden Roleplay: The following Roleplay interactions are forbidden under all circumstances: Shootings of any kind. Sexual Roleplay. (Students may Roleplay relationships and have basic interactions. Reffer to rule 19 for more in depth information.) Any form of server-wide forbidden Roleplay. Legal Faction Management.
  17. Upgraded to official faction status! Congratulations!
  18. LEGAL FACTION MANAGEMENT Multiple Faction Permissions and Regulations The following rules and guidelines are being put in place in order to define a common set of baseline regulations and guidelines for multiple faction membership within the legal community on GTA:World. These rules act as common ground for the entire legal community and will be complemented by internal regulations per individual faction at faction leadership's discretion, in collaboration with Legal Faction Management. 1) Scope: The purpose of these rules are to define multiple faction permissions for double-employment (or more) on a single character only, these rules are not intended to conflict or replace double faction regulations previously set regarding alternative characters. Gaining access to a faction for mapping, temporary property access, or anything similar that does not fall under employment does not require an application, just a heads-up from the faction leaders to prevent any future confusion. 2) Requesting dual faction permissions: Prior to joining a secondary position within another faction, a player must seek approval from both factions' leaderships. Upon successful approval from both factions, a request must be sent to the Legal Faction Management administrator team for approval and execution of the mentioned dual faction permission. If the faction leadership believes said player will be able to maintain sufficient activity in their faction while RPing in another one, they may allow him to proceed with the request process. Upon approval from the respective faction leadership, you may submit a request at the LFM UCP Request Board for further review and approval by LFM. LFM's review process is put in place to simply make sure that all received requests are realistic and won't raise any RolePlay Quality concerns in the future. For any questions or concerns, you may send a forum PM to @Sharvit & @JayPeezy. 3) Regulations for government-bound factions: The following regulations apply to all governmental factions, including Law Enforcement Factions, Fire and Rescue Factions, government medical centers & hospitals, as well as any governmental entity: Secondary positions must be in reserve or volunteer positions, players may not occupy a full-time position within both factions. Players may work a part-time position within security firms if they have received permission from their faction leadership and if it makes sense for the character's LEO rank and their shifts. A player may not be a member of two Law Enforcement factions at the same time. Leadership (Faction leader and co-leader) positions are not eligible to secondary positions on their relevant character. 4) Regulations for non-governmental factions: The following regulations apply to legal factions not listed within the previous category, such as private businesses, private medical centers, and associations: A player may not be occupying two full-time positions (full-time working schedule) within their different factions. Leadership (Faction leader and co-leader) positions are not eligible for secondary positions on their relevant character. 5) Regulations for educational factions. The following regulations apply to all educational factions ( Universities, High schools etc): A student may join any faction they like as internship without submitting an application to LFM. Any legal faction member may join educational factions as a student without submitting an application to LFM. 6) Internal policies: In addition to the common regulations, faction leadership may consider supplementing the above-listed guidelines with their own internal policies. An internal policy may not conflict or intend to circumvent any of the rules defined by Legal Faction Management. Internal guidelines and regulations regarding multiple faction permissions must be forwarded to the faction's LFM handler for approval prior to its implementation. Legal Faction Management.
  19. LEGAL FACTION MANAGEMENT Helicopter Usage Rules The following rules and guidelines are being put in place in order to define the proper usage of helicopters by legal air units, especially LEO ones. LFM will not prevent air units from operating proactively, however, we expect operators to apply some common sense into how they operate the airship. As it stands, LFM would like LEO factions to refrain from flying around and actively looking for crimes while surveilling gang populated areas. This will be explained further under "turf camping". Camera usage: The Camera script is a very powerful tool and easily abuseable. Airship cameras IRL have some differences, especially in image quality, than the ones we have in game and this is mainly due to script limitation. This rule is hard to explain in words, but Air Unit operators should be mindful and have some common sense while operating said tool. As an example, the quality of the camera at night is drastically worse than during day time, adding optical zoom into the picture makes it even worse. This rule will fall under 'Admin Discretion' and LFM admins will have to determine if the operator acted reasonably once complaints arise. Gun Shots: Whilst patrolling under an AIR callsign your character is wearing a headset that cancels out the noise of the aircraft to ensure the occupants are able to hear communications. This means, whilst in operation of an aircraft, your character will not be able to hear gunshots. You may not powergame hearing gunshots or metagame to find the gunshots after hearing them on an Out-of-Character level. You must see a shooting take place to report it. Pre-Flight Checklist: Pilots are required to roleplay performing a pre-flight checklist or wait three minutes before taking off in any aircraft. Refueling: Refueling an aircraft realistically takes time, at least longer than refueling a car. Refueling must take at least four (4) minutes before unit can depart . Turf Camping and idling: Pilots should be mindful of the amount of time they spend in one area, and should avoid "turf camping" or keep their focus on one group for too long when no development or other factors play in that warrants them staying on them. Pilots shall not turf camp, defined as hovering or circling the same neighborhood, vehicle, or person for an extended period of time without having a justifiable reason to do so. Reasoning is subject to review on a case-by-case basis. However, the following may be used generally as justification for these activities: Witnessing a crime or serious injury. Response to an emergency call in the area. An individual or vehicle that reasonably matches the description of a Crime Broadcast, a vehicle that reasonably matches the description of one reported stolen, or an APB has been spotted in the area. A pursuit suspect has been lost and you are attempting to locate within the last known area. Tactical operations, search and rescue, or warrant executions that require the use of helicopter surveillance/oversight. Civil unrest (protests, riots, etc.). Purposes of crime suppression during TAC Alerts if a specific area has been highlights as a problematic area for the duration of the TAC Alert. An individual acts in a manner that leads a Pilot or Tactical Flight Officer to believe that a crime is going to be committed, being committed, or has been committed. (This does not include someone simply wearing a certain color or happens to have a bag on their back). Requested by a ground unit. Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD): Air units may not use their CAD to notify other units of a location. This is a form of Powergaming. Please keep your CAD location set to mobile at all times unless you are performing a full stop landing (i.e. refuel, taking a break, etc.).
  20. We are both okay with it
  21. • Introduction In this topic we are going to introduce you to the process of becoming a Legal Faction and our new " Unofficial Legal Faction" status. • How to become a Legal Faction In order to get your proposal submitted and your idea implemented you must follow the guidelines listed below: Government factions - For getting a Government Faction (LEO Factions, Medical Factions, aviation, education etc.) you must send a forum PM to @Sharvit and @Shanks with a detailed proposal of your idea, including everything you might need in order to run it while using the following format: Clarification - There wont be any unofficial goverment factions. Those factions are following the same old process. Non-Governement faction - When it comes to Non-Government factions, this is where the major update comes in place. LFM is introducing a new stage to Legal Factions called "Uofficial Legal Factions" . "What Unofficial Legal Factions are?" They consist of a group of people, large businesses, or corporations that want their idea to become a faction. Being an Unofficial Faction is a stage prior to becoming an Official Legal Faction. It will allow people to RP their idea, run it and share it to make sure the idea has demand and support from the community for it to exist for a long time. "What do I need to do for my Unofficial Legal Faction to exist?" It's pretty simple, all you need to do is post your faction topic HERE. When posting a topic in this section, you might notice that you will need your posts to be approved. This will be used as a tool for LFM to view the topics before their approval, this in order to weed out low-quality topics, trolls, and or Government Factions topics. After a swift review by LFM, we will approve the topic and will allow your idea to exist. "What do I get as Unofficial Faction?" We won't lie, not much. The faction leadership will gain access to a special channel within the LFM discord and will be able to freely communicate with LFM and with other Unofficial Faction Leaders. This will give you a direct communication line to people within the staff team, and most importantly, you will be given the chance to become an Official Faction. "So whats next?" Now all you need to do is to play the game. Regularly update the topic with screenshots, updates and, more. LFM will review the progress of the faction and in Two Months you may apply for your faction to become an official one. "How do I apply to become an Official Faction?" After two months with you actively running your faction, you will have to send the following format in forum PMs to @Sharvit and @Shanks, LFM will discuss your application and will let you know if it will be accepted and or what we would like to see for it to be accepted. "Why would I even want to become an Official Legal Faction? What would I get?" Official Legal Factions get many perks, such as the following: 1. Access to the faction script 2. Direct handler to work with for any issues/concerns. 3. Future LFM funding upon request. 4. Access to direct vehicle requests from LFM. 5. Access to direct property requests from LFM (requiring also PM approval). 6. For very active and promising factions even access to mods. "Anything else?" Yes! We would like to wish everyone the best of luck with this process. Although we cannot promise that your idea will happen but we can promise you that we will do everything on our end to help you make it happen as long as you are willing to accept the help. We hope to see unique ideas that did not exist before!
  22. Will be discussing this with IFM.
