  1. ((On hold pending a property investigation)).
  2. -1 for reasons stated. The slots are not an IC benefit, they are an OOC one.
  3. Brutal Shooting On Power Street: Officer Injured In The Line of Duty Written by: Holly Miller (Pictured Above: The Rotten Apple, secured perimeter of the shooting) On the night of March 30th at 20:00, tragedy struck outside a bar on Power Street, namely “The Rotten Apple”. Officers responded to calls of an active shooting, which resulted in multiple deaths and an officer injured in the line of duty. Our very own media liaison Holly Miller was on a ride-along with the LSPD, and the officer's quick actions kept her safe. Upon reaching the scene, multiple victims were immediately evident, and the scale of the shooting was realized. Officers sprung into action, doing what they could to minimize the further risk to members of the public and other officers. During a violent exchange of gunfire, the remaining threat was neutralized, however not before Lieutenant Antonio Diaz, Officer in Charge of the LSPD’s K-9 Division, was injured in the line of duty. As additional units arrived on scene, Lieutenant Diaz was quickly treated whilst other units began to secure the scene, ensuring there was no further risk to life and preserving evidence for the subsequent investigation. This incident highlights the dangers that officers in the LSPD face every day. They put their lives on the line to serve and protect the citizens of Los Santos, and incidents like this serve as a stark reminder of the risks they take every time they put on their uniform. The LSPD is known for its rigorous training and commitment to public safety, but even the best training cannot completely prepare an officer for every situation they may encounter. It is a dangerous job that requires officers to be vigilant at all times, as the situations they face can change in an instant. In this particular incident, the officer's quick thinking and bravery allowed our media liaison to return safely home. It is a testament to the professionalism and dedication of the men and women who serve in the LSPD, who constantly put their own lives on the line to protect others. We are immensely thankful for Lieutenant Diaz's actions, and the actions of the other attending officers. It is critical that we, as members of this community, recognize each of the sacrifices and risks that law enforcement officers face every day. The LSPD is a crucial component of our community, along with the other agencies, and we are lucky to have such dedicated men and women serving our city. Without such a steadfast force of professionals willing to push the fight against crime, our City would be something completely different. In the wake of this tragedy, we extend our condolences to the families of those who lost their lives, and our gratitude to the brave officers who put their lives on the line to protect us. Our sources also state that Lieutenant Diaz is continuing to make a strong recovery, and we wish him the best.
  4. No worries! I am going to lock this because I think my justification for against is pretty much the general consensus, it's there to protect businesses and your friend /can/, just speak to us and we can discuss. DM me if you would like to re-open it with other features etc in mind!
  5. This is essentially how it works already :) We are very mindful of who needs the ability for both, as we don't want to again, give too many people the access to ignore breweries etc. But it's certainly possible if the business case is right for it!
  6. They can request a bar script, and ask to be able to create items as well if they are a restaurant. This solves this issue and we allow it. If they are a bar, just the normal bar script works fine. Equally, they just source their alcohol from a brewery. If we allowed you to do /createdrink everywhere, businesses around making drinks no longer have a purpose. Go to a liquor store, a bar, a restaurant or brewery and get them that way. Roleplay making a root beer float or something and deal with having the default "beer" or "soda" item, OR commission a brewery or someone to specifically make those items for you. Bish bash bosh.
  7. Hawick, the last 3 days have crashed me repeatedly. Both along Eclipse Blvd and Spanish Avenue. Mods and no mods, all characters. I just crashed again at 12:00 (11:00am IG time). There was another player that crashed too, this was along Eclipse Blvd.
  8. 100% yes this sounds SO cool? An attack or attempt on these I think should be covered under a heist, so IFM approval. Otherwise heck yeah that's awesome. I was driving past G6 doing one the other day. Super cool to see it.
  9. ((Leases can only be obtained via Property Management. You are not allowed to rent/lease your business to another player, or rent/lease one from another player. Locked))
  10. "Why you doing this? It's dangerous." "Someone's got to."
  11. We have some amaaaaaazing changes thanks to gibbz which will help the worthflow dramatically. Means we don't need to constantly pend and application and wait, which should translate to the player base seeing more of the work that we do. At the moment, well you don't. I'm against a free market for obvious reasons, I'm not gonna reopen that justification but we will end up with a freaking nightmare. If we improve the workflow which we have underway, I think good things will follow!
  12. There's a ton of complexes with garages. With the way properties work, just report IG for your individual garage if there is one.
  13. Scripts aren't handed out if you don't have a suitable commercial property to create them in HOWEVER we created the item requests scheme to get around that. Perfect for people that want to work from a tiny home office, a taco truck or something like that.
  14. Cool idea, flick between the sunny's and the normies on the fly. +1 Honestly this for decals, accessories and hands categories would be cool too.
  15. I can see the benefit. All sorts could contribute to the lap time, desync, crashes that aren't RP'd, human error etc. I like the idea, if it can be scripted. Seems QOL to me.
  16. Highly against this as it would probably tie in with vehicle maintenance and how all that works, which means it'll be used to circumvent that. It'd need to be entirely redone (i think). Illegal scheme for a dodgy dealership? Awesome, I love that idea IF it can be facilitated, but for normal dealerships I am very against it. We can not be 1:1 with everything. Just because it COULD happen IRL, does not mean it has a reasonable place on the server.
  17. Most people would use the peep hole IRL to check before opening, and I believe it's rather common to have them, especially on apartment buildings. I don't think this is too powerful, I think it's a reasonable response to the doorstep muggings. This would force people to be a bit smarter. Don't roll up masked with the immediate intent to rob, dress well and look unthreatening. If they open the door, then that's their risk. Scout out first. Of course, this opens people up to metagame, and I suspect this would almost entirely remove a lot of doorstep muggings because people will see (M) or a name you might associate with a gang, and will OOCly act on that. However ... I think it's probably more realistic to have the option than not. +1.
  18. I'll chime in quickly on this. You don't need to sit by the door and wait. Go roleplay, do something else. You don't need to stand and wait and that seems to be lots of the complaints. Literally go do ANYTHING else. If you can't break in on Monday, try again Tuesday. It does not affect your other roleplay, you can go do other things. I understand when you're in a group and there's limited time you're all together - that's where it causes some extra frustration if you all want in on the action. Admins can still roleplay. Most of my reports get done early morning-afternoon during my work hours and then I spend my time in the evening roleplaying with reports where I can help. It's not reaaaaally fair to look at 6 admins off duty and get upset about that, they're human give them a break. Sometimes I don't have time to handle a break-in, or I can't give it the attention the player deserves. During those times, I won't take it. Sometimes there's reports which for me, I classify as "incidents". People needing immediate help, over people that can wait until I've handled those reports. If I have to go after I've done them? Kinda tough, I can't put more time aside. You also have the scripted rob system available to you if this is for development reasons. If this is purely for specific assets, then you'll have to wait. I think ideally, the system would benefit from some work in terms of reducing the effort for admins to handle them, but they aren't difficult. It's hard to track when you have like 4 people robbing one house, that's when it's a toll. Eh this would be powergamey/metagamey. The script leading you to those items? Ideally I'd like to see more types of container, rules around realistic hiding spots and a revamp of stashinfo. Have an admin oversee to watch for clear abuse but otherwise players will be able to find realistic containers (kitchen cabinets, wardrobes, bathroom cabinets) and use those to find the items themselves. The more well hidden items would be for an admin to handle. Just my take on it, speaking personally :)
  19. Let me bring this up within PM, we'll have a chat about it. I kinda agree with this. Leave with me!
  20. There's something potentially in the works for this already, as we agree that more housing options in the county need to become available, more commercial properties too. County is something we try to protect as you know to encourage growth and roleplay in the area. I'm going to lock the topic for now as we are very aware and it's being actively worked on! I cannot give any sort of timeframe nor specifics as there's so much to consider but there will be some drastic improvements. I couldn't go and just make changes in game and create properties /now/ because there's a good chance at some point I'd be having to kick people out for changes. Not ideal! If you need some housing in the mean time and you a /strictly/ a county roleplayer, let me know over forum PM's. We do help you with trailers and you don't need to wait for house requests for those. So it's like ... forwarded but not forwarded 'cause we're on it.
