RDR 2 PC version was released 1 year later than console, GTA V was 2 years later. As hella annoying as it is, I wouldn't be surprised at all if GTA VI follows that trend.

I think that the situations in which a PK would apply should be drawn way back. Having most kills be PKs is silly imo, as that promotes the mentality of "well i'll just nlr that idiot so he can't nlr or apply to ck me first." And ramp up the situations in which a CK applies, and watch as people are suddenly more careful and smart with their decisions. If people don't fear rp, give them OOC fear. This is the path that serious GMOD RP servers went down, the only situation where a character wouldn't be CKed is if it was an event where it was agreed upon. Sticking that sort of hardcore system straight into gtaw might be going too far in the other direction though, and whilst I would like it, conflict would probably become a lot rarer, fights and beatings would take precedent and cops will become an endangered species. Then you'll get the gremlins that'll apply for CKs for every little thing, which we already get plenty of here. Finding a happy middleground between the two systems would be ideal.

letting a 12 year old buy some vodka and cancer sticks vs letting them roleplay are two very very different things. one is not ok, the other can depend. i hear your argument of adult themes, but realistically, i think all of the GTA base games introduce plenty of adult themes, and if their parents buy them the game, then that's up to them. not even going to touch on the fact that this will deter maybe 3 teenagers in total, just like on sites that are 18+, everyone that's under 18 will just click the button and go ahead. who's gonna check? doubt nervous wants to start storing pictures of IDs, sounds like a nightmare.

didn't work, i took the liberty to kill NVIDIA Web Helper.exe SteelSeriesEngine3.exe, as well as everything else labelled corsair too. the only mod that i'm running is NVE, that might be messing with it, but it'd take me too long to remove it since original files aren't backed up. oh well, guess no 1.1 testing for me.

unable to even open the game client, it crashes on the rockstar social club loading screen.
