  1. If you're shooting LEOs over a traffic stop I think RPQM needs to have a word with you, first off. The original post's first paragraph incites metagame at an incredulous degree, and basically says 'don't pull over a vehicle that has more than 1-2 occupants in it'. How is my character supposed to immediately gauge occupancy & affiliation. Are they meant to assume that every person in Los Santos is a gangbanger? Do I metagame your name? No, that's just not realistic nor is it a mindset that is encouraged, at least in SD. We make an effort to roleplay as if the city is sufficiently populated, and the 300 people living in Davis don't only exist for gang roleplay.
  2. There are a lot of different ways we have to cope with the roleplay that happens on this server that go far beyond the population and the emptiness. As an LEO, there's so much gang violence and quote unquote 'stupid shit' that we have to deal with, that we literally can't even realistically develop off of half of our encounters, or we'd all be RPing serial killers who've shot 10-12 underaged kids each if we took every PK to heart. My character alone, as an SEB operator would have more bodies under their belt than the entirety of a station does in a year's time irl. We literally have to pick-and-choose what development is realistic and fitting for the stories we're trying to tell. It's insane.
  3. Punishments issued by staff are inconsistent at best, nonsensical at worst. Precedent is not followed by the staff team and whenever you try to employ it, they just tell you to make a staff report rather than attempting to derive any form of consistency. The last staff report someone I know submitted was back in Feb. and it's still pending here at the end of July.
  4. I don't make these often. This is for the player we engaged with yesterday. Thank you for this. A sun of rubber was convulsed and set; And blood-black nothingness began to spin A system of cells interlinked within Cells interlinked within cells interlinked Within one stem. And dreadfully distinct Against the dark, a tall white fountain played.
  5. The counterpoint to this is that you have nothing better to spend money on as a legal char and have every incentive to buy a house for the sake of convenience. Storage. Rp hub. Etc.
  6. Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world - the desires of the flesh, the desires of the eyes, and the pride of life - is not from the Father but from the world. The world is passing away, along with its desires; but whoever does the will of God remains eternal. If a man loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. But he who does God's will shall live forever.
  7. July 30th, Davis DAVIS RIOTS OVER THE SHOOTING AND SUBSEQUENT ARREST OF RONALD 'HITMAN' WATTS AND ANOTHER YOUNG MAN. How do you feel about the divine mandate? With your uncanny luck, you can only draw two conclusions. Conclusion one; God loves cops. Conclusion two; God doesn't love the people enough to protect them from you. They say riots are ostensibly the best part of a cop's career. They say integrity is what you do when no one is watching. During a riot, everyone is watching, yet no one is at the same time. Have you ever wanted to break someone's teeth just to know what it feels like? There's no better time to fold some asshole's clothes while he's still in them. A compromise to one's principles is a threat to humanity. You used to think taking lives was a cruel, horrible thing. Chop the finger to save the hand, and by proxy the whole arm. Are statistics and malicious compliance the only way you can look yourself in the mirror?
  8. July 26th, Davis
  9. July 24th, Vinewood He was a peaceful man. He usually would not harm even a fly. But that morning, everything was different. That particular morning he woke up, and for the first time in his life, he chose violence. He made the only choice there was to make. They say that a criminal needs to get lucky every time he operates. Juxtaposed to us; we only need to get lucky once. Do you get scared when bullets start flying your way? The clever simile suggests it's like swallowing gasoline, then chasing with a lit match. What's your hard-to-swallow pill of the day? I hate to advocate drugs, alcohol, violence, or insanity to anyone; but they've always worked for me.
  10. getting rid of half the playerbase isn't the solution
