Property Management Q&A Thread

Recommended Posts

The Property Management team would like to gather questions from the community that we can place within our discord and also for easy access points! We would prefer you guys to ask questions that is NOT pertaining to your specific request (so others can get that information too). If you want to know more about your request specifically, feel free to send a forum PM to anyone of the PM administrators. If you want to sort of 'generalize' your request so that others can follow along, that's highly encouraged too.

This is to help us as well as you guys as we want to all be on the same page as a sub team. We will NOT be answering any questions right off the bat (we want to talk as a sub team first) and then we will compile the questions, discuss, and give the answers out in one long post.

If you want any further clarifications or anything else, there will be a discussion thread to follow within the upcoming weeks! If you want to post suggestions/feedback/complaints - we will have to ask you to PLEASE wait until the discussion thread. This thread is solely for questions.

We're aiming to have this open for a week, maybe two. Then lock the thread and discuss the answers (so we're on the same page and unified) then we'll post the answers. Any post that is off-topic or derailment that is not a question (or would be better talked about in a discussion thread) will be deleted. If we think a discussion thread is better for your comment, you'll get a PM from us so you do not feel silenced/ignored.

We'll look forward to hearing from you guys!

- Property Management Team.

I got a questions, there is a "crack den" near Vespucci and Canals, and as far as I know, it's always unlocked and can be used by everyone.
Now, what determines if a place can be used like that?

As I think more spots like that, not just crack dens, but abandoned spots, for homeless RP'ers, etc. would be pretty cool.

How does PM feel about actually determining which neighborhoods are actually rich, middle class, poor? Or is that more of a continuity team thing? If these areas are determined as such, can we expect a shift in housing prices?

There's a few aspects of Property Management that I'd like to hear about. Feel free to answer either only a few select out of those or all (as I'm not sure if multiple questions are allowed), either way it would be greatly appreciated.

1) Default, enterable locations in dimension 0

- There are places on the GTA V map (The meth lab, Rundown motel, Warehouses, etc) that are enterable and accessible by default, some garages can be opened by walking/driving near them. What are these considered within Property Management and can these be used by players, and to what extent?

- Since these are in dimension 0 they cannot have "interior mapping" -- Is there a possibility to get around that? (i.e, a gang settles near an opened, dimension 0 warehouse/garage, should they be allowed to do bring any mapping to that space?)

2) Squats

- What constitutes as a squat in GTA World?

- Is there such a thing as a squatted player-owned property or are squats strictly pre-defined with specific mapping?

- Can players settle in unoccupied properties without owning them?

3) The future for properties and their management

- The way properties evolve. How does Property Management plan to improve on the future for properties?

- Is there somewhat of a roadmap to the way properties are handled and improved upon over time?

Looking at https://map.gta.world/ , it is noticeable that there are always a good amount of properties for sale and not owned by players. Do you think/plan to implement a more relaxed inactivity property removal in the near or long future? Sometimes our jobs and various IRL responsibilities could make us forget that we must stay active even if we are not in the right mood to launch the game.

Answer to that is no!
The properties you see on the map are only complexes/apartments. They are not houses. Houses are rare.

Here's a question a lot of us have been wondering about:

Stated in the Property Rules and Regulations it says:

Spoiler

For houses & standalone apartments: Upon purchasing a property, the value when trying to sell the property back to the server is cut by 50%. Selling a property is restricted :

  • 0 days to 2 weeks : You cannot sell the house.
  • 2 weeks to 1 month : You may sell the house up to (1 x MP) + furniture price.
  • 1 month to 3 months : You may sell the house up to (3 x MP) + furniture price. (Ex. MP = 150,000 FP = 55,633, SP = 50,000 - Highest buyout = $555,633)
  • 3 months to 6 months : You may sell the house up to (5 x MP) + furniture price.
  • 6 months + : You can sell the house at any price you want.

Does Property Management think about changing theses rules? Especially the "You can sell the house at any price you want" rule?

Nothing stops anyone from buying a property and hold it for 6 months+ just to sell it for an unrealistic price (speaking of hundreds of thousands, if not millions).
Especially in an area like Mirror Park, Sandy Shores, Paleto Bay, etc etc. Basically areas with high demand for houses because a lot of people want them, they'd pay any price to get them just to be able to live in this area.

Would PM possibly considering reducing the words required for most things except property requests from 250 to 150?

Would PM consider removing the word limit for all vehicle requests? You are more than capable of seeing which one are troll requests and which aren't.

Would PM consider adding more script support for unique and niche businesses?
