They serve no purpose and only incite metagaming. If a person knows the CK'ed person OOCly, they'll most likely know they CK'ed. If they only know them ICly, not seeing them around or getting the news from someone should be the way to go, not through an OOC message. Additional information: N/A Link to comment

Indeed -1 to this suggestion. Also, it serves an OOC purpose too, cause sometimes it's difficult to tell if the reason why you are not seeing the character around is cause the player ust quit the game or is being unable to connect for some time if you don't have OOC contact with them, so the CK announcements serves a purpose letting you know that you can actually "worry" about it, instead of thinking maybe the person is just not being able to connect. True, but that's a very niche situation. If you're not seeing someone around, you should take it ICly. That's one reason what bans being public do - 'hey, this guy is banned so you won't see them around anymore'. CKs are about 'this guy is dead'. Being banned is OOC, being dead is IC. Might not affect the roleplay too much, but this is a heavy RP server and details like this are what makes it heavy. Link to comment
