Adv Posted August 1, 2023 Share Posted August 1, 2023 Staff Update August 2023 New Look 👀 Welcome to our August 2023 Staff Update.  As those of you eager-eyed amongst you may notice, we now have a new revamped forum theme (Thanks @FatCatTuxedo and @million for your work on this). We're really excited that you get to see this, after a couple of months in the making, and we hope you appreciate the thought that has gone into the new clean layout we have across the site.  If you're not a fan, the old theme is still available in the bottom left for you to quickly change back to, and will remain available for the near future however it won't be updated in future upgrades. Development Update With our development team being so efficient, and updates rolling out every day, there's so much to cover in a monthly update! These are some of the features we feel deserve the biggest spotlight this month, and are worth everyone knowing about.:  Dumpsters.  This may seem like a minor addition but think about the endless opportunities! Dumpsters now have inventories that can be used by anyone. This is perfect for those drug deliveries, drug deals or even if you need to send a message to someone. Put a note in there, dump a phone, dump your weapons if you really need to get away from it! Endless opportunities on that one if you are creative. It can just be used as trash if you have too many items and you want to get rid of them.  Feature documentation can be located directly HERE  Cooking.  We got cooking! My personal favorite. You can now use a campfire or even cook at your home or a friends home as long as you have access to the property. Buy some groceries at one of our grocery stores which are scattered across the map with a current total of six stores. There's a bunch of recipes to make for any sort of event whether it's pizza, burgers or even a grilled cheese if you want to be easy! Perfect addition for those cooking at their properties OR even going out on trips like camping, hiking and so on. I'm expecting more RVs and trucks out with campfires and cooking! Definition an amazing feature to add to the immersion and give something extra to do on those trips.  Feature documentation can be located directly HERE  Peephole.  Peek-a-boo! You can now look through your door's peephole when you hear someone knocking or even if you hear something outside your door and just want to check. This evens out the playing field here a bit since the police have snakecams and now we have peepholes. You have LSPD knocking on your door? You can now see who it really is. Cooking in your home using the new cooking system and you hear a bunch of knocking but didn't invite anyone over? You can check before calling the police or a friend!  Feature documentation can be located directly HERE  Corpses & Looting.  Now I'm sure we've all been around long enough to see how our old corpse system worked. Someone accepted death and leaves a stack of items behind on the floor which ended up in you accidentally dragging the body sometimes. Well! That's changed a bit. Now corpses have an inventory drop kind of like the dumpsters do, but it's not available for quite some time so if you really want what that body has you need to drag it away or bring it away for some time then you will be able to take those items. OH! Forgot to mention the corpses save after a restart as well!  Changelog can be located directly HERE  Many more!  There's many more updates and features added in during the month of July! This month's Stats Over the last month our team have answered:  12,542 Reports 9,533 Tickets 2,069 Apps As always during summer months, this is an incredible number, and we're extremely grateful for the staff who have taken the time to dedicate towards this. Staff Management, along with Management, are working harder than ever to ensure that wait times are low, and we thank the dev team for helping provide us more clarity with that this month, and for the future.
