    Weapon Scrolling.

The thing about having to type out /me's for small weapons makes it near impossible in terms of OOC fairness. IRL it takes me less than 3 seconds to draw a pistol from under a shirt/hoodie that has been tucked away behind my belt line, even less if it is a smaller form of a pistol that can be easily hidden in a hoodies pocket or loose form of pants. Yet, for me it takes at least 10 seconds to type out a /me as I have to think words to put into the sentence in order for it to not look like poor RP in terms of drawing a handgun. That is the sole reason of having the rule state that small arms are not required to be role-played being drawn, with the purpose behind it being that not everyone is always able to type quickly. This is why countless RP communities that are based around RP that can involve the usage of small arms have the rules in terms of weapons as we do here - it is simply due to OOC fairness on both sides. That being said of course, the requirement for large weapons to be RP'd being withdrawn from a reasonable location is still there, otherwise people will carry AK's and what not all the time and ruin immersion. You are still more than welcome to RP withdrawing your handgun when you have the upper hand during a situation, such as an unexpected attack against someone - that's what I personally prefer doing, as it causes less upset in the victims when the reason behind your attack is justified and they know it.
  4. Quite funny how the Property Section works. It's in the In Character Section, yet it is handled OOC'ly - Why? it does say "In Character" Well, then why are admins responding to them OOC'ly? Why is OOC opinions being put into the applications when they are being answered by non-other than admins? Are we mixing here friends? I know I'm being harsh but that is literally the case here. So my suggestion is, revamp your leasing section and handle it IC or move it to the OOC section if you're gonna keep responding to applications OOC like this (not shit talking Franelli, he just happens to be the one to handle these applications) or this.. Edit: These responses we get, are we supposed to take them IC? I can guarantee those characters never spoke to a government official over Discord for example.
  5. That's what I said in terms of GPS/phones having Google maps. You can just read a street name and a nearby landmark such as a bar, shop ECT off the Google maps which also have a GPS system in itself on the phone app. It's why GPS irl is slowly dying out with everyone using Google maps instead.
  6. Very simple to explain this. No offense but this thing (/sendlocation) needs to go, it's borderline metagaming in every manner that it exists. I have never ever seen or heard of a phone app that allows you to simply send a precise location to any number you come across (except for apps specific to taxi companies). If you don't know the address / street name, then you best be good at describing landmarks. Those that RP living in Los Santos for their whole life or years and want to say their characters should know every street, that's not true at all. I have lived in the same town for 10 years and still hardly can name 5 street names. Pros: Removes MG from the server, provides more realistic situations, makes GPS an actual useful thing for addresses (even though phones have google maps), heck it even makes addresses useful. Cons: None.
  7. I agree, but not all workshops, reference my recent suggestion regarding revamping the mechanic garages. This is a pretty good suggestion though, helps weed out the crappy RP'ers from garages that do /me repaints the car or /me changes wheels, basically all the piss poor RP.
  8. So as I was having one of my cars repainted at one of the available garages, I noticed something that nobody ever decided to budge a finger about. Every single garage available on the server gives the exact same services, be it mechanical or cosmetics. I had my car painted at AutoExotic for example, a garage that has no paint room and is what is more like a traditional mechanic garage that can only provide mechanical and light cosmetic services like for example, engine based services or bodywork services. The fact that every garage on the server has the same stuff available for use makes them equal and boring. My suggestion would be to revamp the garages. Allow paintwork to be done only by those garages that actually have paint booths and perhaps change the way they work in general, while at it you could also implement those rims and paint from the "Rims, Rim Paint, Tyres, Pearlescent" suggestion that was posted all the way last year in October that I'm sure everybody wants. How will this benefit the server? 1: Well, for example, the garages will actually have some difference, making each garage more unique and more interesting to RP at/with. 2: There's gonna be less non-rp going on with things like the paint booth I pointed out. 3: There's going to be a difference in value for each garage that is more obviously reasoned, instead of just aesthetics of the building itself. 4: It creates an actual competition, as currently the only competition there is, is based on money for services. 5: If needed/appropriate, garages can get the construction companies to build them an extension for a paint booth, giving construction companies something to do. And those are just some of the points I have to point out. I'm sure others have a bunch more to make. Cons? Well, if you own a garage without a paint booth/area to paint a customers car, you shouldn't be doing it in the first place so don't bother complaining about it, what you are doing is pretty unrealistic, I'm yet to even see someone RP repainting a car properly even.
  9. Still up for sale. Taking Offers.
  10. To be honest I don't know why masks have a price, unless you want something fancy like a hockey mask or whatever, there's no reason for them to cost anything at all, like the shirt masks for example. I don't go to a shop to buy a 5 grand shirt just to wrap it around my head. So yeah, lower the price or get rid of them all together tbh
  11. Galivanter Baller II - Registered, Insured, Tax Exempt - $85,000 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Like it says above, the SUV has been registered and insured. It's been kept in perfect condition and used as a daily. It has a custom tuned ECU done by Octane Automotive and with the increase of torque, I had installed a stronger gearbox. Additionally, the SUV also has a new central locking system/immobilizer along with the best locally available alarm system which will notify the LSPD and you should anyone try to break into the vehicle. This SUV is a perfect family or working mans vehicle, suitable for trips to school, shopping, heavy tow loads or a bit of off-road adventuring. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The price is listed at $85,000, which is $7,000 bellow MSRP, not including registration insurance and security upgrades for the lock/immobilizer/alarm. I'm happy to accept trade offers for either a Schafter (not v12) or a Sentinel Cabrio / XS. Contact me via phone on 15411 or send me a message here on the classifieds.
  12. Tribal, AkaTenshi has made a very valid point that quite simply outweighs your own, which is also what I meant in terms of having food/living costs being scripted into a system as another sink that shouldn't exist. I'm gonna turn 100% against the suggestion. Depletable resources or not, there is no real way to actually create an atmosphere right now that can support such theory. There are no farms that can produce consumable goods, therefor there is no system in place and can't be in place, which means that having living costs is only something that can/must be RP'd for now. If there was an actual system with jobs involved to keep the power and water going through the city and towns, then I'd consider otherwise on putting bills in place but as there isn't, there is no chance of outtages aside from whenever the staff feel like putting in a mini-event. So, like I said, I'm going fully against the suggestion until something as such can be put in place. Edit: Also, I'm not sure what you meant in your last comment about "Deplatable resourses = more demand = more jobs" nothing in your suggestion shows anything about resources aside from creating a sink for resources that don't have a way to even be produced except through RP/imagination.
  13. Putting money into a sink for food is well beyond stupid, I don't get billed for food so why should it be automated in roleplay, that'd make it too RPG based. Instead putting items and an actual hunger system ect would be the better idea. Living expenses are all down to the people and their roleplay depth/capability, it's not something that should be forced by a system but instead thought of by the characters. Other than that, I have no complaints there. The costs you've provided makes sense so it works fine with the idea.
  14. I'm not too sure this whole closed economy thing will work, especially if /pfee is removed for indoor businesses (since that's where the wages come from usually), I have a strong feeling this will plunge the servers characters (by which I mean all of them) into being completely broke/debt due to the masses of sinks that have been put in place. I mean, I could be wrong and we'll just have to see but at this point I would suggest lowering the prices of everything over time to match this closed economy and generally limited amounts of money that is available for people to use from now on. I can guarantee you, every business owner will be unable to keep staff should the /pfee be removed, simply due to the fact that they'll be unable to pay them and this is going to impact me personally quite hard, since my business isn't the type to bring in much money from players alone, like.. during my last opening which was really busy for us, I hardly earned $1,300 from the sales and that's really not enough to pay everyone (usually 3-4 people) for working during that opening, which means increasing prices in order to be able to do so, but if prices are increased, nobody will want to visit/have the money to buy product. And working at clubs, namely "The Vault" which obviously gets more visitors than my store, still wouldn't bring in enough money from drink sales alone to cover the cost of the staff wages for a full opening night. I mean, I'm not saying this is a bad idea, I'm just saying this 'could be' a very bad idea, depending on how things are handled with the flow of currency throughout the server, especially with this injection being controlled by the government, which I can already see being corrupt in order to syphon money for themselves. All I'm saying is, this is a dangerous thing to fiddle with and that's my two cents. Other than that, great work on all the other updates and such. Still waiting on those "NORMAL" rims though, could've done more good with those than condoms rofl - jk, made me giggle with the condom implementation. Edit: Adding on, how would this money injection work on the governments behalf? I hardly expect them to be like "Hey, you're doing good stuff with your business, here, have a bit of cash to pay your employees and all your supplies."
  15. Nuh uh, that'd be a blatant lie my friend. I'm in a UK timezone, I've been on the lowest activity hours a lot.. which are between 5am and 10am (dead hours when UK people are asleep/US people go to sleep) and I can promise you, there haven't been garages open. Not AutoExotic, Not Octane, Not Oceanview and Not GlassHeroes (GlassHeroes was open a 'few' times during those hours, when it was run by Oceanview, who are the previous owners of that garage but I haven't seen them open during those hours with the new owners/staff). But I mean, now, that the server has increased in pop, that might change.. which I'm hoping it does :l would be nice if it did :l
  16. I agree too, though I would suggest being able to remove it yourself, not having to go to a DMV or any other place to do it. Since all you need to remove a cars plates is either a pair of pliers or a screw driver, and the same process for putting those same license plates back on. This shouldn't involve money, is what I'm trying to say. Aside from perhaps having to have the items on you to remove them, which I'm sure you could get from the "YouTool" stores.
  17. I believe we should really lower the costs of the tattoo removals. $5000 is just way too much to be honest. Not only it's like between 10-20 times the amount of buying a tattoo but it's also not even that expensive in real life. So having to pay $5000 to remove a tattoo is just borderline non-rp. Plus, for those who have NC'd their characters away that have tattoo's and want to RP one that doesn't, having to pay $5000 (per tattoo) is way too expensive. Edit: Or make the prices for removing tattoo's different depending on the size of the tattoo. So something small would be cheaper, something big like a full arm or full back tattoo more expensive to remove, which would make sense too.
  18. Electric bills: Sure but you gotta think rationally about it, no 1k bills not even $200, it'd be quite reasonable to go with $50 if you're going by paychecks A.K.A. hourly, like the car insurance does. Also, no electric bills for trailers. As their power is usually generated by generators or gas, so it'd have to be a different thing entirely. Land tax: Sure but only for houses and not stupid heaps and please (at least monthly.. not weekly), not flats/apartments (trailers yeah but it'd have to be much cheaper than that of a house). Water bill: Nope, LS is an Island and as many other islands, including Ireland, there is no such thing as water bills, they tried to introduce it here but it failed because literally, nobody paid them and flipped the government off (true story). This can simply be put in with the electric bill as the organization behind doing those things in LS does both the power and water, there's a building in Vinewood, not far from Auto Exotic. The reason why I'm saying Land Tax should be monthly is because those people that only do player given jobs, like working for a player owned business usually don't work often enough, simply due to player availability. Someone could be away for a couple weeks on a holiday, so having a weekly thing would no doubt get people in trouble while having been away on holidays irl.
  19. I've a better suggestion - instead of making it completely free for all cars, make it free for more of the higher end cars and some of the classier saloons like the Schafter V12 and the Baller LWB for example, then either charge 1-3k for other cars. Would be more sensible. Plus, if I had a car irl, I'd simply use my phone for it, so yeah there's no need to even charge people as I'm sure 99% of people these days have Google Maps on their phones ?‍♂️
  20. I'm a little lost on why there aren't all the wheel options already, this has to be implemented to make for some more common sensed visual appearances of cars tbh.
  21. Bought one from the dealership. ((Can archive this))
