  1. Been in PD, tried to bring in a good portion of this but you see the issue is, a pretty large number of people (both LEO and Civilian/Gang ect) don't understand the concept of portraying a realistic character. In this day and age, role-play seems to consist of who has the biggest e-penis/e-tits (owning the fanciest car, being the best driver - more often in the city sadly.. - being a power hungry brat, being a luxury level 9000 Miss Dubai 2019, being Rambo or Hulk or something dumb like that.. Hobbs from FnF would be a good example.) and that's just the start of it. Also why the hell are there soooo many British characters /living/ in LS? If it were a holiday visit I'd get it but for long term stay, this is a bit too much imo. So as superb as all this that you have written up is.. you simply can't fix stupid people (sorry to be rude). If anything this can easily be branched out and meant for every form of character there is, civilian, gang, ems, leo so on but that will hardly help anyway. People just don't know how to do passive role-play well enough for this to work. Any time I had pulled up to assist as a cover unit, I wouldn't just sit there like I am a robot trying to solve the chicken and egg puzzle, instead, I had always done some sort of passive RP within the cruiser and sometimes been complimented by the person that had been pulled over for doing so. Despite all my negative thoughts though -- This is genuinely superb and should be taken in by the LSPD ASAP, in fact I'd nearly go as far as forming rules out of this that should be followed within the PD since A LOT of this is badly needed there.
  2. ? When you honestly didn't expect people to be against cleaning up their neighbourhoods. Okay let's put it this way. Immersion generated from dynamic trash objects is let's be honest, none. We only notice it when there is a can rolling around or when you've suddenly somehow driven over a brick in the middle of Downtown Vinewood or Mirror Park. Think of it this way, there are people who would like to see a more cleaner environment in non-ghetto areas while still keeping some trash because obviously no city is ever spotless, as a matter of fact, there is still plenty of dirt in the ghetto's after this mod has been installed (Yes, I tested it and it's more accurate than you may think). This is what that mod does. Not only that, it also increases performance just a tad which helps plenty of players on the server by lessening their CPU and GPU load which can increase their FPS and lessen their desync. I'm sure that alone is a very good reason to implement this mod.
  3. I agree. Seeing as this is meant to be a well developed city, there would be a thing like cleaner streets at the very least. I'll support this suggestion.
  4. So as it stands, we do appreciate all the new lovely updates that come out, of course some are odd here and there but new content is always great for a server that is still developing into something truly great. Yet, I feel that there is a lack of concern in an area that should be focused on the most - stability. While new updates are great and keeps the server fresh, having those updates on an unstable playground is.. disappointing. I for one, would much rather play on a server that works, doesn't crash 10+ times in the span of 3 hours and has decent sync, than get all excited over an update which will not really be playable since it keeps crashing in the middle of you doing something. So as a suggestion to the staff/development team and a question to the entire community -- Would you rather want development to be focused on fixing the crashes and anything else broken, increasing stability for the next month or two or would you rather new content with partial fixes as it has been going? Edit: I feel like this is something of a pressing concern considering the current stability problems with the server which really is annoying and demotivating a lot of people.
  5. The thing here is that it seems that there isn't enough understanding in staff/development about how business owners (the ones who sell things) receive/sell their product. At my job irl, which sells a wide variety of things from consumable products to lawnmower parts on Amazon - for example, we pay our lawnmower part suppliers like 50 Cents to 1 Euro for a lawnmower blade and most of the engine components, we then sell them from 12-50 euro. So I'm really not understanding this whole MASSIVE sink being implemented into businesses. The only times when loss occurs at sales businesses is literally, when you have bad investments or lack of interest in what you're selling. Essentially what I'm saying is that something that hasn't been broken is now broken. What should've been focused on in terms of businesses is the quality of RP provided by the people that run them, most of which are terrible. Edit: I understand that there is tax in all businesses but that tax still doesn't outweigh anything. Why do we need more money sinks? Stop focusing on something that currently isn't an issue, start focusing on fixing stability.
  6. You can try this, but I don't guarantee that it will work. https://www.lcpdfr.com/forums/topic/52764-how-to-avoid-rockstar-updates/
  7. Well, I tried working with archivefix to get a fix for PRSA working that occurs when you use NVR but it didn't seem to work. From my understanding all that needs doing is it needs to be installed via OpenIV, in GTAV/mods/update/update.rpf/common/data/ - then the update.rpf needs to be put through archivefix. Even though I did that, it didn't work. I'm not entirely sure where I went wrong. https://www.gta5-mods.com/misc/prsa-enb-flickering-night-glitch-fix Any chance you could get this set up?

    ENB for Rage?

I'm just wondering if anyone has found a neat ENB that is similar to PRSA but not PRSA as PRSA causes flickering issues during the night. I know there is a fix for it but installing it requires modifying the rpf files which in turn causes the broken/modified game archive error when launching up. So any ENBs that are bright and colourful would be great. Edit: The PRSA flickering bug occurs with NVR only to my knowledge.?
  9. My best recommendation would be to simply unscrew the AIO pump and have a look beneath, unless there is a warranty seal. Sounds to me that it may just need reseating or it may have inadequate amount/bad quality thermal paste. Also, if applicable see if all your driver's for the pump are correct. I had to install new drivers through CAM when I installed my Kraken AIO
  10. They seem to work for me, I'm on steam too.
  11. This does happen sometimes, not just with GTA either, quite frankly I've had the same problem occur over countless games. My suggestion is, just check if you've got all the latest updates geforce has to offer you, there was a new update for geforce experience yesterday or wednesday I believe, so just check if you're on the latest versions, if you are and the problem is still there, the next thing to do would be to uninstall geforce experience and/or your graphics drivers and reinstalling them, that's what usually fixed the issue for me.
  12. The prices are too low and too high as they are. If research was actually done before the prices were implemented we wouldn't have a problem. The thing about modifying cars IRL.. Putting an aftermarket turbo on a Lambo wouldn't cost any much more than putting one on a Civic so get this idiotic thought of it costing more to tune up a supercar being a thing, it's not. Edit: The price for an aftermarket component for all cars don't change. The only thing that changes is the labor cost, the only difference in costs is literally.. labor and even then, some cheaper cars can be more difficult to work on than an expensive supercar.
  13. Not really needed tbh, this is something that should be RP'd rather than enforced by a script. I mean, eventually when it's possible the suggestion could be taken up again and implemented. As for now, I'm against the suggestion.
  14. Shinto

    Realistic Needs

This is what is meant to be role-played. Implementing this will likely just result in people using the script to get rid of their hunger or thirst without roleplay so it makes no difference for having a script for it. People just need to RP better. I'm against this suggestion as it's pointless.
  15. To be honest if I really was desperate I'd just find a rock and brake a window. Lockpicks aren't even compatible with most modern day cars because the modern day cars don't have key slots in the door handles as they used to. It's all done on keyfobs now. Another thing, lockpicks aren't really used to lockpick a cars door lock. There are different tools used to do that. In regards to the suggestion though, sure, implement other weapons like batons, hammers, wrenches, pretty much any hard object that can be carried in hand for the use of breaking into cars, but the thing is, if you break a cars window, it's alarm goes off should it have one.

    Gun Pull Animation

It doesn't change anything. Drawing faster or slower, even with that animations draw time, most people can't complete a /me. So it makes no difference. Pulling a gun on a video game can never be made fair, there is always going to be a side of it to which people wont agree so just keep it as is and live with it, learn to enjoy it as best as you can or just don't get yourself involved in situations that require you to be shot at because we're not here to just DM.
  17. The thing is, talking about it wont change anything, this is something that both the PD and staff team should have taken care of since day 1 of the server. By which I mean, stricter IC punishment for driving like a moron and a crack down on non-rp driving. Now before anyone goes and stars a-jailing people for driving fast through the city, there should be a limit and obvious common sense taken into consideration. It is not rare for people to be speeding in a city (TO A CERTAIN POINT), nobody does really drive at a 120 billion miles an hour IRL through a city, I personally take speeding in a different view to everyone else here. On the highway or a less active road like the one's out in the sticks around Sandy Shores / Route 68, I'll slam my foot to the ground if I see no cars and slow down if I see headlights or taillights. In the city, the most I'll be speeding by is like 10-20 mph and usually only because of my character needing to go somewhere quicker than usual. So keeping in mind by how much a person speeds determines how should it be handled, if it's 10-20-30mphs over the speed limit (which is 50mph in the city) then it should be dealt with by the PD. The second thing to keep in mind is HOW, the person is driving. If they run over every intersection, slam through poles, drift, crash into random things out of their own idiotic and senseless failure then yes, of course that's more of an OOC thing that should be dealt with by the admins because when is the last time you saw someone just casually drifting in a high density city on the streets during daytime like there's nothing to lose? The last time I saw that was when Ken Block did his gymkhana's on CLOSED public roads. So... Admins: Step up your game. PD: Step up your game. Players: Chill the fuck out.
  18. a fucking mountain bike that I use to go to work which is 10 minutes away or 5 if I'm late, my backpack makes for a decent trunk too got a wedding to go to in the summer, will work toward getting an actual car after it - so far my options fall on a VW Polo or something like that, which I'm not a fan of. Hate the UK/Ireland laws
  19. Simply put, this wouldn't work. Metagame galore from the already shitty criminals that roam the server (yes, I've had a lot of experience with terrible criminal portrayals/seen it in SS's). There is only one and only solution for your suggestion to become fair and that would be to change to a Voice based RP server, which I'm fully against. Just suck it up. PD has their voice, they need it. Request permission from administration or talk to them before doing any sort of 'heist' that'd require microphones to be used and explain your plan of action, perhaps they might be willing to let you do it in a specific TS channel where they can monitor you with it, which would be quite nice imo - it's been done on other text based RP servers and works well..
  20. So from what I gather, the Boat Dealership is where it is because of it's surrounding, the location being a boat dealership... BUUUUUT.. it's not working. I mean, it works scriptly, but it doesn't. I think the boat dealership should be moved somewhere next to water. Like.. I'unno, the boat dock, near the heliport? Would be reasonable to move it there. Or just map in something, since that's a thing that should most definitely be possible on rage:mp now without crashing the server 24/7 (WINK WINK.. nervous & co. ? ) No but really, at the moment, the dealership is in a fitting place if you are able to hook a trailer up, load your newly purchased boat onto it and tow it to a water where you can deploy it. But we can't do that, so we're sort of.. forced to bug the admins about it. (/report heeeeeeey guyyyyyyysss.. can you move this boat for meeeee? prty pls?) I'm sure that time spent moving the boat could be better utilized by the admins and I'm sure that having a dealership next to water or the possibility to actually deploy a newly purchased boat off a trailer yourself would make for much better RP. The same goes for modifying boats and helicopters. I think there should be something different done about it. It's a bit annoying having to see a boat TP'd into one of the garages to have it's color changed and what not, as well as having a Helicopter just casually sit in front of a garage whilst people change the color. For that I'd suggest making a mod shop for Helicopters and boats which only allows for resprays to save everyone the trouble, same thing with planes. Planes should be purchased somewhere reasonable, preferably LSX (pls not sandy shores..). The general problem with all that modification side of things is being caused by the current vehicle purchase script, which only allows for cars to be bought in Black, which makes the boats/helis and maybe even planes at garages a massive hassle. An alternate solution would be to just simply allow us people to change the color of the car to that of which we would prefer to WHILE purchasing the vehicle. I mean, I haven't seen a single dealership IRL that only sells nothing but black cars, and I don't think I've actually seen a boat dealer selling only black boats either, I know I've seen one heli dealership selling only black helicopters but that's because the customers there had an option to have the helicopters painted before they received them (speaking for brand new helis) and it was because that was a dealership for a specific model helicopter, which was shitty apparently. But I dunno, thoughts?
  21. Road tax does exist but it's not really called road tax nor does it work that way, it's called vehicle property tax, it's not a tax for using the roads, it's a tax for the car itself, very much like a house property tax and even then, the highest vehicle tax rates in america are in Rhode Island, with a YEARLY.. not a weekly or monthly or six month based tax, a YEARLY tax that is an average of $1,333.. I personally would call a complete reform of all the taxing and what not. If you want to keep it then rename it to what it's meant to be, Vehicle Property Tax, or Vehicle Tax, not Road Tax, road tax doesn't exist in the U.S.A. Next thing would be to lower the tax, and fix most of the car prices - because an Impaler, is from the same year as a Sabre realistically speaking, there for they should only differ by a slight amount like 10k-20k not twice the price of a Sabre due to a simple factor of the Impaler being slightly faster on a straight road. As for registration.. just read through this and try to make something realistic please? - https://ballotpedia.org/Car_registration_costs_by_state,_2018
