  1. Let's try something different... Let's start talking numbers: This is the route I usually do, 2-3 times a day, depending on how my RP goes: That's 5.36 miles, based on the meter inside my car. Before the change, I haven't refueled for over a week. After the change, I have the following stats: So, if I'm reading this right, it says that if I drive conservatively, I can do this route approzimately 9-10 times (realistically, let's say 6 plus any other driving around) and if I drive in max acceleration all the time, it's 3 times before I have to refuel. What are other people's stats along these lines? What's your routes? What is your driving behaviour? This is the information devs need to make a better judgement on how to tweak something not "this sucks, I was already refueling 3 times / day"... Because, honestly, all I can say is HOW MUCH AND HOW FAST HAVE YOU BEEN DRIVING to refuel anything 3 times a day? Maybe there's a different issue there? But really, let's collect stats. I'll come back and update this post with my stats after I've had a chance to try it out a couple of days. * What's the usual distance? * How many times a day? * What's your speed, usually? * What's your car's /getfuelconsumption?

A question about asset transfer Requests: In the template it says: Amount of money (you must leave at least $200k assets on your source character): $ does that mean to say that I should leave behind $200k in total assets, or $200k in the bank? In other words, if I own properties & vehicles in excess of 200k, I can request to pretty much empty my entire bank account?

    Ι wrote this in the "remove looting" general discussion, so I'll just add it here instead and tweak it: In a PK situation, where you "forget the scene of your death" it doesn't make sense to also forget where you've left your stuff, or even worse your gun, which is a felony to lose. For this reason alone, LSPD has a whole report template for PF guns lost to PKs... So how about: On PK, a corpse spawns and drops a random number of items as you just killed a John/Jane Doe. IF you carried a weapon on your person, a % determines if there will be a weapon on the corpse. These may be good or bad, and whether these item "tables" include guns and ammo or not can be dynamically tweaked so Management can determine if murders are used poorly as a means to loot more goodies On a CK, you should be able to loot everything a player carries So basically you're given the options: - Rob a guy for his stuff - PK a guy for a random set of stuff that are probably shit - CK'd a guy with an approved CK app or perms? You got all of his stuff
  6. Every single thing, every single rule, every single mechanic can be abused. "If we do this, people will cheat and abuse it" is a good basis for the server to never implement or change anything ever again. Besides, if you DO PK your friends' throwaway characters for free items, eventually you'll be caught and punished. If you do linger around a body like a loot goblin, eventually you'll be caught and punished too! the difference is, in one of the two scenarios you won't be grieving actual players in the process, having to waste our time with reporst and stuff...

  8. +1 but also... THERE WAS TALK ONCE that ammunation employees and weapons specialists would gain the ability to clean guns and until that was put in, we were given the gun cleaning and repair kits. I assume that has been permanently shelved yeah?

  13. This is something that CAN be investigated. Big and serious factions won't do that. They will disallow their members internally supposedly. And I for one, believe that. Smaller OOC driven groups are EASY to track if someone wants to. Character X dies in a scene and X's player deletes and recreates or Name Changes Character X into Character Y. One day later Y is hanging out with the same people X did. And engages in the same activities X did. There you go, a throwaway criminal, proven. These actions ALL leave a trace and people who think they can get away with stuff like this ONLY do so not because Admins cannot see it, but because Players don't bring it to Admins' attention to act upon it.

I mean, at this point I might as well just copy my previous reply ... 🤣 Ultimately though, if the whole "fear RP = powergaming and you will be CK'd" rule was removed, and people were allowed to try their chances (and potentially still get a PK), by necessity, robbers and chain muggers would have to be more careful. If they stand to lose 1-2 members on a mark that's armed, and be forced to leave the area (because staying and looting after a firefight would be a reportable action, and the victim can eaaaasily report that), immediately the rate of chain /arobs and robberies will drop. And it won't be because of a rule. It will be organically, because of actual fear and OOC understanding that it's not a good idea to potentially get shot, just to get a phone which you'll sell to a pawn shop.

  17. I'm gonna agree with anything @BLUE HUNDREDS said in his posts. You arrive in Los Santos TODAY without any contacts. You're clueless. You're alone. Why should you know what's the street price of ANYTHING, drugs, guns, whatever, right off the bat? Do the work lC, find out IC. If you find out you have been scammed, find a new dealer or broker a new deal. If you wanted to RP someone "streetwise that should know these things", adapt your concept to the situation. You cannot "know these things" out of street experience if you haven't accumulated said street experience. The fact drug prices are as they are, and so heavily enforced NOT TO BE SHARED OOC by IFM (or, at least it was back when I cared about drug prices) is what IC led my character to ONLY work with 1-3 trusted people and to also not bother getting into the drug trade IC, but find his own hustle. If I had an imaginary magical chart with minimums and maximums, I wouldn't have this level of development
  18. Detailed Description Hello! The entire point of /beard was basically to split it from masks, so that someone could conceivably play a masked and bearded man. Please bring the command back, and have it entirely separate from the clothing menu. Also, right now in order to have a beard in all my outfits, I must go in each one separately in a clothes shop and pay $100 per outfit If anything, it should be somewhere in the barber's menu where we are given the option to "save to all outfits" once, or just a separate command Relevant Commands/Items None (Barber menu), or /beard How will it benefit the server? 1) it will allow for people to combine a beard and a mask 2) it won't cost (number of outfits)x100 to change facial hair
  19. This would be a nice addition. Something like LC's "Dark Web" As for the rest of this issue, things are simple. The complexity exists in players trying to avoid consequences. The rule states specifically that the advertising of illegal services through /ad or requesting illegal services through/ad is against the rule. It also states that it is against the rule to use innuendos, double speak, or to disguise your request under a seemingly innocent ad. The player, when writing the /and, knows exactly what they are trying to get out of it, regardless what justification they will use. Case in point: a character advertising maid cleaning services with the intent to engage into prostitution RP, knows this the moment they type the ad. They don't realise it when they arrive at the client. So at the exact moment of the ad's writing, the writer knows exactly, on an ooc level, what they're trying to achieve. And therefore, no matter what wording or excuse they're using, since prostitution in San Andreas is illegal, then no matter how you justify it, the moment you post an /ad, under whatever disguise, with the ooc intent to engage in prostitution RP, you have knowingly broken the advertisement rule. Simple, yet complex to explain
  20. I mean, in all honesty if we could SEE our mistakes, none of this would exist. And honestly, I feel this is the best compromise here. Don't change anything, don't give people information or feedback just let them see what they did wrong and let THEM go through the legwork of finding out WHY it's wrong. We don't even get that.
