as someone who has experienced countless shootings without the need for emotes in the predecessor sa-mp, i doubt this will do anything but encourage copy pasting anyway lol. requiring people to do an emote and no offense, is just a lazy suggestion that might not even yield anything significant, and it just encourages more ridiculous player reports where a gang shooting is ruled out because the shooter decided not to emote pulling a gun when there's already an existing unholster animation as well as the obvious assumption that someone running/walking up to you may be attacking, etc. this is a pretty subjective point, you can literally be standing infront of someone approaching and still process him taking a gun out and shooting very late, especially since the shooter is likely not going to wait until you see his gun to start shooting either. the simple unholster animation gtaworld does when taking a gun out is sufficient time to process things and run if you can react, and is even miles better than the sa-mp gun teleporting to your hand which nobody complained about either. that's how shootings go, brother. idk wat to tell you. ppl freeze up, dust off or just panic when shots pop off, but people process the actual gunshot better than reading a copy-paste of someone slipping a gun out from their waistband

i personally don't think gang rp should focus on gang violence too much because it'll become boring and a detriment to the rest of the system that functions on gtaworld when you have varrio killer 13 shooting down kill all crips piru on burton where uniform is, or when any civilian trying to interact with the gang either as a local or just a general bystander is robbed immediately and killed when resisting which also discourages people from even trying to roleplay with the faction in general, then it just becomes an inconvenience to try and deal with when the forum reports come in gang factions should be a medium for community roleplay like someone said with block parties, rap battles, just people chilling and general (neighborhood) local-to-local interaction and while a lot of people will argue dumb shit like "wow thats not how gangs are like" you will find gang members have their own lives outside of the crimes they commit. even rivalries can form in your own gang and now you have an interesting narrative where the outcome can be getting backdoored, or the beef being settled/escalated, ecetera. that's how a faction history is formed, not when Evil Town Crips dm Vinewood 14 until they close the thread all that gang violence shit can escalate into the streets and sure i won't discredit when a faction wants to roll on another faction in retaliation for something that happened but isn't it boring to just solve everything with an /acceptdeath dm instead of trying to help it build up and escalate into something interesting on the server? just my 2 cents

born in daygo, got family in daygo that unfortunately still gang bangs since u asked brother but ill say the shit i know isn't flawless since we moved out a long time ago and i don't frequently keep in contact with that side so what uv seen might be different from what iv seen yea what i was getting at is how corny some of the shit looks compared to what LSRPs been able to achieve across the years. their forums has entire guides on how to portray an archetype properly, just look in player-created guides or faction guides and take pages from long standing factions like sm, wgs, ec, tgp, ptp, pen1 etc. also shameless diss but la eme here is just weird asl in general but im not getting deeper n2 that cause i'll anger somebody lol

IFBG and tongva are a personal favorites the general mentality of gangs going out their way to go rob ppl out of their hood still appears and really should be seldom. i'd rather see more functional gang rivalries be used as the medium for these kinds of acts rather than civilians being targeted like they ain't gonna call the cops on them asap to get em 18 hrs in jail.

i think it comes with the basis that people just want to roleplay being broke, not actually experience and actually be broke in a game where they're just trying to roleplay characters they wanna play as i've seen people on SA-MP play homeless people with millions in their pocket that said the same thing to me when i pointed it out in the first place and it changed my point of view as to how relevant OOC wealth really is so i wouldn't really mind the economy that much, though i would agree that it's sad that you normally can't profit/feel rewarded about stuff like dealing drugs as their prices are so low and the demand is low as well from the playerbase in general
