I like the idea. I think this work the best as maybe a Police/Sheriff reservist. Where they can be activated I don't think it would justify a full time volunteer position. But if there is some sort of event that LSPD/LSSD need to activate some additional help. I'd be the first to dedicate a character slot to it.

Exactly. Last time I was robbed was on my Lawyer character by someone who I met at a mechanic shop who pretended they were interested in my services and got me to meet them and set me up for a robbery. Ever since then I stopped conceal carrying. It's pointless. There has never been a situation where I've been able to use my weapon except once where I was robbed with a knife and scared him away. I refuse to supply criminal roleplayers with weapons anymore all I walk around with is my cellphone and 5k in cash.

Never going to happen unfortunately. Its a similar frustration I have with LFM. Playerbase is dominated by Europeans so is the Admin team. And people whether explicitly or implicitly show bias towards their own group so the more Europeans you see in leadership that is who is going to get any of the open leadership spots.

The hyper violence will always be an issue people RP servers will always be an outlet for people to live our their movie fantasies and there is no real consequence to IC violence. You get sentenced to life? Name change and just go back at it again. Weapons have so much power because of managements need to have this communist level top down management of ever aspect of the economy. It makes things like weapon more scarce so when so one does have one they are in a even more powerful position tilting the scales in their favor. I know dudes who have gone to State lock ups actually one of the dudes was a guy I met on a SAMP RP server. He told me his first few days there he saw someone get murdered. Hyperviolence in prison at least is a feature not a bug but its getting treated like its a bug.

I don't think we can speed it up. I've been apart of JSA for 3 straight years now most of that as a Judge and a Lawyer on a separate character. If we actually want the roleplay if actual want court trial which is. Yeah Judges aren't delaying things for realism they are just swamped. Because just like in real life there are so many cases going through the system any day. Constant stream of warrants to answer. Also Judges don't aren't the quickest to take on Civil cases because they take sooooo long. And Civil cases is where lawsuits against cops get handled.

Why? It doesn't work like that in real life. Bureaucracy is slow. Anyone that has lived in a major U.S city knows how hard it is to get any sort of recourse against cops. At the end of the day Government and LEO roleplay emulates the an imperfect system that exist in real life. When we try to emulate a system you are also introducing all the problems that exist in that system in real life. Its like the people who complain court roleplay is too slow. Guess what a court trial is an extremely long and drawn out process in real life. You can't expect to resolve systemic problems in roleplay that also exist in real life. Also I have a character that is a Judge and have access to 911 logs and active 911 calls. Anyone that has seen the amount of 911 calls that LEOS get inundated with know why what you are suggesting isn't realistic.

I've been a member of JSA for over 2 years on the server, september will make it 3. Often LEOs are using the time for the hold waiting on the approval for warrants. I see it all the time and get paged for warrants as a Judge for people that are investigatory holds.
