    Conclude a report!

Simple game. Conclude a report and punish the person above you! Ex: “Report concluded, go stub your toe.”
  4. Glad someone moved into this spot. Have fun.
  5. I feel like Mirror Park is a very civilian focused area, it feels more like a very middle or upper middle class suburb rather than gang territory. Vinewood is cool but the areas that can be viable for some gangs to roleplay at are surrounded by mansions and such. Morninwood's a really good place, and has some gangs roleplaying there already. Still a good suggestion. We just have to be aware that the map isn't catering to illegal roleplayers in every district.
  6. Glad to finally see this. Good luck!
  7. Totally understandable! The weather system in and of itself doesn’t directly harm the roleplay of others, sure. I (and others that have commented here) think some improvements can be made down the line when developers have more time to work of these sorts of issues. I think the main point of other people’s concerns on this thread is that that occasional rainfall gets translated into rain every few hours. Maybe it has something to do with how rain is calculated. For example, lets say the chance to rain is 34% in game. Does the game state that “it will rain 34% of the day” or does it state that “it has a 34% chance of raining for a few minutes today”? Like I said, this is totally a small issue that can be addressed if and when larger problems within the server’s code get fixed up. Weather and temperature doesn’t directly affect the ability for others to roleplay, it just makes some situations a little bit hard to believe.
  8. ”Anyone who has ever struggled with poverty knows how extremely expensive it is to be poor.” - James Baldwin Poverty is an almost permanent state of the world not caring about you. When you’re impoverished, you aren’t just out of money. You’re trapped, clinging onto the last bit of decency you have left before you succumb to the world around you and become a product of your environment. Your personality, thoughts, and looks all revolve around money and the best way to gain from another human being’s loss. Robbing, killing, and beating are all tickets out of the lowest part of society, and, for most, the only ticket. Gangs rise up because the biggest dogs in the lot beat the other dogs until they either submit or cough out their last breath. Those big dogs become the kings and queens of the neighborhood, ruling with either a fist full of lead or lilies. And all of those that grow up in that environment with barely any money or any role models to look up to tend to flock to those big dogs. They do whatever it takes to get out of this state of being looked down upon, even if it means murdering or stealing their way to the top. And appeasing those big dogs within a gang is one of those ways. Selena Cortez. Selena Cortez is a product of poverty. Born to a prostitute for a mother and an unknown father (who she suspects was a frequent client of her mother), she resented the world around her. Her mother cared little for her, doing the bare minimum of giving her money for food every week and kicking her out of the small, one bedroom apartment they both called home frequently. A lack of motivation and an authority figure in her life led to her frequently skipping school or refusing to work at school, and as such her mother continuously sees her as a failure of a human being. Now, her life revolves around her neighborhood, of which is controlled by the famous (and infamous) Rancho Trece gang. She has found a family in the unlikeliest of places, and has become addicted to showing that she is down for the life she purports to be down for. Selena’s activities with the Frontline Lokaz clique within the large Hispanic street gang has led to her earning more money than she could have ever imagined herself earning, thus leading her to believe that this life, one of crime and death, is the only life worth living. Because poverty never truly lets go of one’s neck. This thread will document the life, experiences, and possible death of Selena Cortez.
  9. I think setting wise GTA: 6 would benefit from being located in something like Liberty City or a fictional version of Chicago, but really anywhere in the GTA universe would be cool. For features, customizable weight like what you see in RDR:2, better vanilla hair customization for males and females, and just general QOL changes that GTA:V has needed for a while.
  10. Whatever works best for the server at the current moment. From what everyone has said so far that would be a teleport with a timer so it simulates the time it takes to get to a specific place. While I would much prefer actual trains that players can enter and travel through, I understand that Rage is not to that level yet, so whatever works currently can be updated in the future if trains are synced properly with a future Rage update.
  11. Short description: Overhaul the current public transportation system by making use of the subways in the map, which would also provide more locations and common areas for individuals to roleplay at. Detailed description: The current public transportation system is fine, but I feel that the subways already within the map could be utilized in order to promote the atmosphere fitting for a budding metropolis like Los Santos. The transit system in big cities IRL like New York and L.A. are used by a good portion of the population, and as such I feel something like this should be considered for implementation to the server. In game, there are a few subway station entrances, one of which is here, in Rockford. All of these entrances lead into a deeper section of the map that can be fleshed out with food stands and advertisements. Then, you have the tram and loading area itself. This could be the area in which people either ride the tram to the next station or are teleported to a location, as well as pay a ticket fee of maybe $200. There are eleven total stops for the subway system, looping from the airport at the bottom of the map, through most of the major parts of the Los Santos map, and back. I feel like this system should definitely be explored and considered as a way of adding more variety to the system in which individuals can get around the map. It would also spice up how individuals who have just created their character can get around the city; instead of renting a car and driving around to wherever they need to go, they can use the transit system to get to where they have to go. And for regular players, they can use the transit system as a way to both spice up their roleplay and create a dynamic and interesting route from their jobs or school to their home. Commands to add: There would need to be some new commands for purchasing tickets or purchasing a ride on the transit. Or you could go for a metrocard system, where one buys a metrocard for a fee up front and the cost of the card is deducted from a players paycheck. For purchasing tickets: - /buyticket ... and for using a metro card: - /usemetro - /buymetro For going to places, I would say either having a timed teleport to the location in which one wants to go or a working subway car operated by an individual would work best. For the car idea, one would simply just enter the tram and use the metro card commands to purchase a ride. I'd recommend checking this mod out for reference as to what I am talking about. If you remove the freight train aspect, I think this would work swimmingly for the server. https://forum.cfx.re/t/release-fivem-freight-train-ai-and-enterable-trams-as-passenger-suited-for-roleplay-to/268613 Items to add: None, unless you want to add a metrocard, in which case you could just rename a good in game as the metrocard and it could be used as any inventory item. How would your suggestion improve the server? I feel like the server would benefit massively from a working subway system. Not only would it enhance the feeling of a functioning, breathing city, but it would also allow for more settings or locations to spice up the roleplay of every character that chooses to use it. Interactions within trams or the subway would definitely be unique to experience and would offer more ways to interact and engage with other players on the server. Additional information: I know this may be a niche suggestion that probably won't get accepted, but I just want to showcase how cool this type of system would be! I can safely say that if this were accepted, it would definitely be a great addition to the server.

    Cool people & you

this is a thread by cool people for people who arent that cool to ask cool people questions if you arent a cool person, you become cool by acting cool, not just saying you're cool this is a pretty cool thing to do
  13. This kind of argument is weird to me. Sure, we aren't a one for one recreation of L.A. and L.A. politics, but we are in a setting that directly bases nearly everything about itself off of L.A. I think that the weather system should more or less reflect that, and currently there are some oddities with it that make it somewhat difficult to believe we are in an L.A.-esque setting, in my opinion. Also, that time thing is more of an issue as to where the server is located, except that's not at all a problematic thing, and in fact enhances certain types of roleplay.
  14. Hi! Recently I've been having some discussions with a few people on Discord about the current weather system that has been implemented onto the server. A lot of our conversations have begun to revolve around the current temperature system and how accurate that is to the climate in Los Angeles county, an area that is basically the direct inspiration for the GTA: V map and, consequently, the GTA: World map. I personally have felt that the weather system doesn't directly portray current L.A. county weather, which sometimes leads to odd occurrences like rain every few hours, sub-40 degree weather, etc. I'd like to ask specifically what the current weather system is based on, and how the developers of the server came about choosing this system over basing it directly on the current weather of a city in L.A. county (like Los Angeles) from a source like The Weather Channel. And, to follow this up, does the weather system need improvement or does it not affect roleplay in the grand scheme of things?
