  1. Looks nice, hope it provides some really interesting roleplay to the server!
  2. Okay, then that would be an interesting thing to develop, roleplaying outside of a certain setting.
  3. Just normal RP. Exactly. There is no difference. It would just be normal roleplay.
  4. What would you even say that looks like?
  5. Hi, just wanted to spark a discussion on something that I’ve been thinking about recently. A new graphics mod is coming out, named NaturalVision Evolved. It looks fantastic, almost photorealistic. Better than Redux and NVR, at least in my opinion. However, this mod’s trailer has made me think about the opinion people have here on graphics mods in general, like textures, lighting, clouds, weather, etc. Do graphics mods and texture mods make some people’s experience on the server more tumultuous or annoying? Do they enhance it just the right amount? Should screenshots not contain mods in order to not mislead newer players on the look of the game and server? For the record, I switch between the default game for performance and NVR for looks whenever I play. Mod trailer:
  6. Installing mods on the Epic Games version should be the same as the Steam version. Drag and drop files into the right folder. Usually for mods like NVR and Redux, you’d install them into the update folder in your GTA directory. There are also some mods that require you to install them into your RAGEMP client_resources folder, but I’ve heard those mods are broken on the current version of RAGE. If a mod has a different install process, there will be instructions for it, like with iGhoul’s mods or with certain texture packs. Hope this helps! If I’m wrong, let me know. And remember to back up EVERYTHING, just in case!
  7. Keyword smuggled. What is being suggested is prison guards outright allowing phones to be given to inmates. And even then, there would have to be a large system in place to ensure inmates properly roleplayed phones being smuggled and used discretely in prisons.
  8. I really don’t think this makes any sense whatsoever. The reason phones are forbidden in the vast majority of prisons in the United States is because they pose a massive security concern. If a highly dangerous criminal (lets say a high ranking member of a drug cartel or massive gang) were able to get ahold of a phone, they could be used to increase smuggling into prisons or hatch plans to escape. It just does not make sense from a realism standpoint.
  9. I 100% believe in the idea of economic depression roleplay. It won’t happen without an active political scene, though. What would be really nice is if the staff team were able to simulate some sort of economic depression where prices dropped incredibly low or rose to incredible heights, and people began roleplaying the issues of job loss, homelessness, and frustration towards the government and rich. This could all build up into protests, riots, maybe even escalating to entire sections of the city becoming unstable and dangerous. But again, it requires player involvement, an active political roleplay scene, and some creativity. Hope to see it come through, though!
  10. Fantastic argument. You got them there.
  11. There really isn't much to discuss, to be frank. You seem to be entirely mistaken with your thread. You ever wonder why that is? 20 guns a month for suppliers is meant to be a sort of invitation for illegal factions to explore other means of solving conflicts on the server. Civil discussion, while not always an option for factions, is still encouraged as to prevent toxicity and deathmatching. However, one can also use melee weapons which you can easily acquire in real life as well as in the game. It is not that hard to find something hard to hit someone with in game or in real life. Not all violence needs to require guns. If you were in a situation where you were threatened with a blunt object like a bat, knife, shiv, or brass knuckles, all while being outnumbered and/or completely confused as to the situation you are in, I'd guarantee you'd hand over your money. Not everyone in real life has a pistol. Not every gang member is able to snatch a Glock from their friend and rob someone. In my mind, melee objects being used for robberies are just fine. Stores I understand being frustrated with, but players makes sense. Refer to my above statement. Let's break this down really quick. If you are being robbed, and you have a concealed firearm on you, why would you not act in self defense? PF licenses are meant for this exact purpose, it is why you can't use them for illegal activities. If you are not allowed to use them for self defense, what are you allowed to use them for? Cooking? The parts? I don't see the issue here. Okay, this seems to be your main problem. Illegal roleplay, believe it or not, is not just about increasing your in game clout. It is about the development of your character, what your character would do in an interesting situation. If you are playing the illegal character just to increase your funds in game, you really should rethink your reasoning for roleplaying. Also, why wouldn't people get benefits for following the law? Illegal money comes slow, both in real life and in game. If the server were to somehow adjust how illegal roleplayers get money to something higher than legal roleplayers, no one would legally roleplay. Again, it is about the development of your character, not increasing your in game cash. There are systems that need to be fleshed out for sure with drugs on the server, but generally benefits or addictions are on the player to roleplay. I don't see a huge issue with the current system. If anything, you should be encouraging the players to roleplay the benefits and the downsides of drugs. Well, why not create your own faction, show everyone in the illegal roleplay section how it is done? If you feel that gang roleplay needs some innovation, do it. No one is stopping you from trying with a few buddies to create a nice and detailed roleplay environment. Hope this clears things up with my sentiments.
  12. Short description: The addition of skateboards and roller-blades into the game as a way to provide more sport roleplay. Detailed description: The addition of skateboards and roller-blades would drastically change the way people roleplay at the in game skate parks. It can also add incredibly intricate roleplay when it comes to shows, tournaments, and just general passive roleplay. In addition to this, the creation of new shops for buying bicycles instead of just the one in Vespucci would be a general quality of life improvement. Commands to add: No real commands, just animations. I would also suggest basing the movement speed off of the BMX bike in game. Items to add: A skateboard would have to be fully modeled as I don't believe they are in the game. Roller-blades are in the game, I believe, but if not they would also have to be fully modeled. These should be purchased at shops on Vespucci or in the city. There is also a full-fledged skateboarding mod for singleplayer, but I don't know how well that would work for the server. MOD LINK: https://www.gta5-mods.com/scripts/skatev SECOND MOD LINK (Remastered Version): https://www.gta5-mods.com/scripts/skate-v-plus Note that only the remastered version has the ability for people to do tricks. How would your suggestion improve the server? It seems pretty niche, but I feel this would create a huge amount of passive civilian roleplay within the server. More dedicated animations to specific sports would make the server feel less focused on businesses and such, plus this would pave the way for more sports to be considered for addition, such as basketball or American football. Additional information: I feel the need to express that I realize this is a niche suggestion and will most likely not get accepted. I just want to express my opinion that more sports like skateboarding and roller-skating have tons of potential for fantastic roleplay.

    Give us a Fact Check!

Australia lost to emus in an all out war. Twice.
  14. No disrespect meant but how do you think real-estate works in real life? People wait for houses to come up and buy them when others drop their bids. This would be the same thing.
  15. Why should Sandy Shores, a place meant for poor, lower class, and generally hippie/redneck types be reserved for people with literally half a million dollars? The only reason there is demand for houses in Sandy Shores at the moment is because people are just buying them and using them for stash houses, providing nothing at all in the way of roleplay. It ruins the roleplay for people who actually want to make something fun out there, and raising the asking prices of trailers, which are not much bigger than an SUV, to 450k-700k is a terrible idea.
  16. This also doesn't mean people should literally price houses 5 times their asking price. There are trailers in Sandy that people are pricing at 600k.
  17. Yeah, there are tons of new people coming to Sandy Shores. And, if you happen to not see any, nothing is stopping you from grabbing a few friends and making activity there rather than waiting for it. Regardless, there is still stuff to do there!
  18. As a lot of people have said, I think Sandy Shores gets looked over far too much. Tons of avenues of roleplay are just begging to be explored out there. Meth dealers, gold miners, oil companies, skateboarders, mechanics, moonshiners, etc. are all viable options in Sandy Shores and the greater Blaine County area. Sad that people just buy new trailers out there and block off avenues of roleplay for the rest of the people there by not roleplaying.
  19. This leads into the general argument of the terrible aspects of underaged roleplayers. Some are chill, they roleplay properly, they aren’t idiots about it, etc. And it’s a shame that the entire area of underaged roleplay isn’t filled with that sort of personality, someone who actually knows what they’re doing and not just roleplaying a 28 year old in a 14 year old’s body. However, on the other side of this coin, you have really annoying examples of people who just do exactly that, roleplay an adult with all the IC precautions and protections that comes with roleplaying a kid. Plus, there’s an, admittedly small, but even worse side of this kind of roleplay that allows people to engage in very disgusting acts with other people while roleplaying a minor. I get that gang roleplay likes to use minors as a source of roleplay, and thats cool, there have been some amazing character stories to come out of it. But it just doesn’t make any sense to allow people to roleplay minors when there are so many OOC issues with it and it’s rarely done properly. I think there should be an age limit, at least at 16 or 17.

    Pictures Ingame

If you want chatlog screens or just general snips of your game quickly, download Greenshot. Also if you use Steam, disable screenshot compression whenever you can. It messes up a lot of detail in your screens and generally makes things look worse than they are.
