Rather seeing an IC repercussion instead of a server rule. Illegal roleplayers are already restricted in many scenarios. Soon enough you can't drive outside the hood without permission.

I actually agree with this, be it as it may. The most logical solution is to treat it IC and treat trolls and obvious ooc disruption...OOC.

It's nothing about that. You could simply just walk down the road irl with a mask on. If a cruiser rolls by, it's likely they will check on you and they can demand you take it off. Why should there be a rule on it?

 

As for trolls, it is the same as other rule breaks. Report them.

 

Why should we make a rule on when or why someone wants to use a mask? If they wanna, let them. It is an IC choice as dumb as it might be. So let it also backlash IC.

I don't believe IC law would be constitutional. You are allowed to wear a mask IRL besides entering secured buildings. Out in public there's nothing law enforcement can do if you're walking around in a ski-mask. 

 

Needs to be a server rule that you need a reason to wear a mask.

The same way good cause for CCW's is unconstitutional but we keep it in place for "balance"? The poll is pretty clear, 70,6 percent of the community thinks the masks are a problem. They just can't figure out how to solve it, IC or OOCly. It's up to the admin team to listen to the majority of players and come up with a reasonable solution that addresses the issue without impacting the normal, good roleplayers.

-enforce a rule where you can only have /maskname on right before, during, and right after a crime?
-make a script where if a player has /maskname on for too long it alerts the admin team? and they pm them and question them
