Having the winnings deposited to your bank account should be a thing, as well as being able to withdraw from ATMs inside the casino. Would be interesting for the state or city to push fourth a policy that mandates electronic money transfers or cheques if winnings exceed a limit. Protest or petition for this, ICly. Link to comment
glitterandheels
This is definitely an IC issue and shouldn't be regulated OOC by changing the server rules. If you were lucky at the casino and won a substantial amount of money, it'd be realistic to be cautious and even a little paranoid while carrying such a sum. It'd only become an OOC issue once these robberies turn into chain robberies but our current server rules already address and punish such actions. Link to comment
Jankara
It's a form of balance and IC. The sums that can be won in Poker by "average citizens" is huge and therefore it's a risk they have to take. Link to comment

This is a great idea, because IRL Casinos require KYC for cash outs over a certain, fairly small amount and large sums of money would certainly never be given out in cash. Large buy-ins are probably handled by cards too Whilst yes, Casino robberies do happen IRL (though I doubt to the extent they do IG) the robbers realistically get away with not much more than a few thousand. Which is why I think GTAW Casino robberies are so fuckin' goofy, both because of the volume they're happening at and because of the incredibly unrealistic amounts of money they can make for just a few lines of text. FEDERAL level and State regulations would be preventing this. Yes, the players walking out with millions and no security are dumb. But those carrying out the robberies are exploiting the loophole that allows this to happen in the first place knowing OOC that there are no IC laws in place to govern the handling of winnings.
