such a stupid reason for a punishment lmfaoo, the amount of people out there who've been shot dead or stabbed for trying to fight someone is insane. i'm convinced that some of the people who come up with these rules, as you've said, either lack any sort of street smarts, or just haven't experienced the reality of criminal activity. There's 0 rules in a street fight, and there's no honor in the streets anymore, very few people, especially not gang members, are willing to fight. Plus if you pull a screwdriver on somebody, you should expect to be shot. Hell, pull a screwdriver on me IRL, and even I, a non gang member, would shoot you if I had a gun too. They don't, and to make matters worse, unfortunately, most people on this server get their information from r/calibanging (a very inaccurate source fyi), streetgangs.com interviews (also very inaccurate sources), movies, and rap videos. I could bring up so many indictments, court papers, and other examples that show that criminals often travel outside of their neighborhoods to commit their robberies, especially if they're in one of the many Los Angeles gang neighborhoods that border affluent neighborhoods, which in GTAW's case, many gang neighborhoods do.

personally i dont see what's realistic about having to catch a taxi back to the area u logged off at hours before just because u accidentally spawned at ur house, how'd ur char get to hishouse, but his car is on the other side of the city? did he walk? not to mention that your average taxi ride, if you roleplay interacting with the driver, costs upwards of 1k, and fuck that. I'm not wasting 1k when I can just get my car tped to the location it'd realistically be at instead.

Admin perceptions of how much disruption a scenario caused other players often vary, with some admins believing that the rule break did less damage than it did. Even if the player's actions made an entire faction log off and stop RPing for the day/afternoon, often they still decide to be lenient, which is why I stick by my statement about a need for set punishments, and that admin discretion should never be a thing. Unless there are set punishments that admins are strictly required to mete out, I guarantee that nothing will change.

This is why Nervous & Management need to come up with specific punishments for each rule that admins are required to stick to instead of leaving it to an admin's discretion, because like I've already said, admins' opinions aren't always correct. You can't report an admin for following orders from management, and if u do, ur stupid. For example. If someone power-games, regardless of severity, they should be ajailed for a specific amount of time. If someone deathmatches, ajail for the first offense, ban on the second. Sexualize a minor char? Ban regardless of severity. I could continue outlining what I'm talking about, but I'm sure you know what I mean. I could show u countless reports where the player (legal or illegal) absolutely should have been punished but were instead warned. But unfortunately, I cannot do that publicly because I'd rather not start arguments with any of the players the reports were about.

yeah the toxicity and petty reports are both things that need to stop no doubt. I only ever report people if they've completely ruined my in-game experience, and usually, that has nothing to do with a faction conflict and more to do with trash roleplay in general.

Personally, I disagree. Verbal/written warnings shouldn't even be a factor with the amount of rulebreaking that goes on on a daily basis. Their warning should be 30+ minutes in ajail.

It's not that it isn't working, it's that admins aren't enforcing rules like they should. Breaking a rule should get u punished, first offense or thousandth offense. Telling people "Hey man don't do that" does NOT work and it's clear. sebz being an admin, should lead by example and begin handing out proper punishments to people, maybe then we'll start to see change over time.

I'll be honest, I know you said you're not really trying to join a faction, but I highly suggest that you do. Factions are where all the quality roleplay is at, don't listen to anyone who tells you differently. Joining factions allows you to make friends OOC while portraying your character and eventually, you won't even need to worry about factions because you'll have a crew of good rpers. Additionally, most street gang factions aren't just portraying a street gang, they're portraying a community. Even if you don't want your character to become a gang member, you can still join a faction to roleplay a local civilian. I've had that happen numerous times in previous factions I've been part of, and the people who portrayed those characters enjoyed the roleplay thoroughly. Also, don't listen to what Astralsomnia said. I've never even seen that player in a faction, so she really has no right to say shit like "avoid factions" and "all factions are trash". The majority of faction leaders on this server work extremely hard to keep their members in line. These are people who take time out of their days (almost every day) on this server to provide quality roleplay to the people RPing in their groups, and to bash them all without even joining a faction EVER, is just disrespectful. I'm surprised that not many people responded to that player's bashing of every fac on the server, considering that if I took 10 hours out of my day every single day to provide roleplay, I'd be rightly furious when I came out find out that someone decided to just go ahead and bash every faction on the server.

Why not do what other servers successfully did and give punishments to enforce? I've seen people cop ajails for the same things that other people I've encountered got banned for. The rules need to be more clear, with punishments outlined, leaving nothing to the discretion of admins. Admins' opinions aren't always right, so sometimes they give punishments that aren't fitting to the rule broken. If someone breaks a rule, they should be punished. Legal, illegal, it doesn't matter. Everyone needs to be getting the same punishment for the same offense, cause right now, some people get the punishments they deserve, but others get slaps on the wrist. For example, I saw a certain character a few weeks ago post an /ad giving out the number of a minor character and advertising her as an escort after said (M) character robbed him. In my opinion, that player should have been banned, but instead, he was warned. I can name countless other scenarios like this too.

just /cancelcontract when ur phone gets taken after ur PKed like I do, then the phone can't be accessed. Also, there's an option to give ur phone a pin code for a reason.
