The casino could also cash the chips and send the money in through a bank transfer when the character has finished playing. -1 Plenty of ic ways to fix this without needing rules to help. This is everything we need to answer this honestly. Robberies have their rules and honestly this issue is more IC than OOC. If there are constant robberies outside a casino, then casino should invest into more security patrols outside and inside too. 1 Link to comment
Tmthn678
-1 this is an IC issue and honestly a horrible idea overall. Link to comment
pateuvasiliu
Frankly if you win 1 million dollars you should just log out cause 100% someone's waiting outside to rob you Link to comment
Natala
It should be a rule against robbing someone directly outside a club or casino door that has a blip running or just switched it off. Around the corner, carpark, alleyway, and down the road is fair game. People in RL do get mugged walking to their car. Also outside clubs and casinos that has not been open should be fair game. Directly outside the doors, is dumb, and unrealistic, and players are taking advantage of the lack of npcs that would be there. And yes, this does happen. 1 Link to comment
Chaishi
I work in a Casino in real life, in the management actually. Let me give you an insight of what kinda services we have for our high end customers: Securities walk them to their vehicles. Usually a private car takes them home. Tinted windows. For the biggest players, our security will even escort them to their housing. We make sure to get our hired securities trained in martial arts and self defense. Some have licensed fire arms who are getting paid bonuses and extras all the time. We have a guard post outside at entrance for the compound. Entrance to the compound is funneled through there. We have a tower which has posted guards with RIFLES, that overlooks the entire parking lot and can see the exits. Two armed guards with shotguns are posted at the entrance to the building. Two extra unarmed inside by the detector. Our Cash-desk either has a bullet-proof glass window or reinforced metal bars. Our safe is a metal walk in box inside concrete building surrounded by thick walls. You can lock yourself in with ease and I can bet all my life's savings that nobody could get inside even if they knew the code. Everywhere has panic buttons. Every room, every department. Surveillance all around the compound, constantly. We have a huge department dedicated to it as well. They constantly, actively watch and communicate with others. Now, I've been to casinos in game. I've been working with some of them as well. None of the casinos in game can live up to the real life counterparts. That's because we're roleplaying and this is a game. If you post a guard on a tower with a rifle, I can guarantee you someone will try to rob them. Powergaming is a joke to some people in this server. Therefore, it's not feasible to do some of these in the server. However that shouldn't stop casinos from providing some of these security details for their customers. It should not be enforced by a rule, it should be a norm for the casinos in game. 3 3 Link to comment

No no no, I tried to tell people the difference many times. Roleplaying means, player think and act like their character, not their character act and think like the player. Link to comment
Jacooob
What is slightly concerning is that casino's (and rightly so) are targets for criminals to camp directly because they know people will be exiting with filled pockets a lot of the time. That makes me think it would be good to have this addition - but SPECIFICALLY at the front entrance ONLY. You should absolutely be able to get robbed if you walk the streets with tons of cash in your pocket, no excuse for that. 1 Link to comment
Timzii
If only you could exchange betting chips by using a bank account at casinos.... and vice verse when exiting :)) 2 Link to comment

In an ideal world this would be the case, until you speak/roleplay with some of the casino owners and managers and find out they're simply struggling to even find sufficient enough security personnel to handle the inside of the business. Let alone the entire outside and providing security details for high rollers. That's not even mentioning the fact we've got the most liberal gun laws on GTA:W where security can't carry anything more than a pistol. So carrying a shotgun? Nope... Carrying a rifle? Nope. Can't even get special permission from the government if you're hired to secure essential and vital infrastructure which is just strange. It's not as easy as you think to hire (GOOD) security staff, a lot of people are discouraged from roleplaying the theme because in order to roleplay a bodyguard for instance you'll need the ability to conceal a firearm along with your guard card. But the CCW exam is so messed up I've seen lawyers, district attorneys, cops, basically people who evolve their entire roleplay around Los Santos law REPEATEDLY fail the CCW exam because as I've said many times, it doesn't test your knowledge or safety but its designed to trick you into failing. I don't like a rule being implemented to help casinos and what not, but handling it IC is also near impossible due to all the OOC restrictions and regulations I just mentioned. 3 Link to comment

I touched what you mentioned in my second paragraph there. Security detail does not need to be armed. They just need to exist to deter any casual robbery attempt. That would force robbers to actually plan and execute scaled robberies, leading to more roleplay. Again, like I mentioned; you can't do everything due to limitations. But if you try to hide behind a rule and cover, you're not roleplaying anymore. Criminals with higher ambitions have to act clever. So should owner of these establishments, in order to protect their investments. Link to comment
