Disallow robberies outside / infront of casions

Recommended Posts

Hello there!

I wanted to suggest the same thing as topic title. Ban all kind of mugging and robberies at Casino's entrances.

It should not be allowed to rob someone directly in front or close to a Casino. Tonight, a MASK pulled a gun on me at the main entrance of diamond casino.

This has been growing a major problem now for the past weeks, and my character been a victim of one robbery and two robbery attempts.

All times were directly outside or in connection to the Casino.

Why:

* Casinos are high-security establishments in the real world, it's extremely rare someone gets robbed outside of one.

* It is abused because robbers know OOCly that players may have a lot of money on hand, which in the real world it would be banked before you even walk out of the casino.

The casinos are only "high security" if you/they actually pay for it or get staff for the role, you shouldnt get ooc protection when the options are there.

The casino could also cash the chips and send the money in through a bank transfer when the character has finished playing.

-1 Plenty of ic ways to fix this without needing rules to help.

I agree with this somewhat at the direct entrance, but I think in dark parking lots for example, or being followed is fair game. On the other hand, why wouldn't these casinos hire one of the many many security options?

-1 completely IC issue.

If you win a couple hundred thousand then ask the casino for measures to have it transferred to you. The casinos should be offering escort services to the nearest bank etc. If there's an uptick in casino robberies then this should be noted by LEOs and they should be stationed as a preventative measure during openings. Don't blame the robber for lazy RP from the casino and the gambler.

Previous replies sums it up. Casinos hire security guards and install CCTV for that reason, so if you got mugged directly infront of it then you can report it and police should be able to handle it with the footage. Straight up banning robberies won't be realistic especially if it isn't located in a no crime zone. Overall it's an IC matter and should be dealt with as such.
