  1. What sort of roleplay would be done here though? What can tie into existing systems?
  2. Maybe this is blocked by adblock? I still only see the page refresh.
  3. I think this is a flawed view. Everything takes up space for RP providing companies and businesses. Car sales and club advertisements are much more prevalent than this type of content, but you won't really see those at the top of the news hour either. I think it must be accepted that realism has its limits here. Ads are partly functional for the purposes of connecting characters for RP and offering/requesting services. The poor image of the server seems to be a personal view. It seems like you are trying to enforce your own moral standards. This doesn't even come close to what is currently considered bannable offensive RP, so why should it be banned from ads?
  4. Short description: Add radios as items, remove character names from radio messages. Detailed description: I saw a thread about radios in rule suggestions, and personally I believe that implementing changes to improve an existing system is almost always preferable to creating additional rules. This suggestion would consist of two basic changes 1) Add radios as items. They don't need to have any function like phones do, they will just need to be referenced as being 'present' or 'not present', and would be a prerequisite to use the radio commands. Useful items like these provide a little bit of additional roleplay to shops selling them. To be determined where they are sold. 2) Remove character names on radio messages. This might make radio messaging a little more interesting, since it cannot be easily verified who is actually talking on the channel. Commands to add: None Items to add: Radios How would your suggestion improve the server? I think both of these can generate roleplay, as well as reduce usage that is less appropriate, since the process to begin using them has a few more barriers. Additional information: Inspired by this thread.
  5. How will this work? Does the player who the call is passed to see the phone in the phone overlay? If not, how can they end the call? When the call is passed, what happens to the original phone? Is this locked for use, are calls to and from that phone blocked until the second person (or the other side) disconnects? What if the two characters move away from each other? The phone item will have to be moved temporarily from the inventory, which seems to be quite extreme, or the call must be automatically disconnected or passed back.
  6. I was looking for RP servers after not being happy with the GTA Online experience. I will admit that this server was not easy to find.
  7. Just like everyone else, I know. I'm Marie-Julie, got a job at the 24/7 in Sandy, so trying to move closer. Looking to rent or buy in or around Sandy Shores/Blaine County. Send me an email to (( forum PM )) or call me on 166-17-994
  8. Short description: Add basic customization options to top of the line phones. Detailed description: This was earlier referenced by @naito in a thread about adding additional phones, I added some of my own ideas. 1) Be able to switch between a few (or many) different wallpapers through the phone interface 2) Be able to adjust the color of the phone. This could be done in an 'easy' way, through an option in the phone menu itself, or a very elaborate way, where one can buy differently colored phone cases from shops. The latter might be a bit over the top, but perhaps something for the distant future. This could be an opportunity to create a difference between cheaper and high end phones, if it is determined that phones only beyond a certain price point (Lets say $2800) are able to access the wallpaper option. Commands to add: Phone options for adjusting background and body color. Items to add: None, or colored phone cases for each phone model. How would your suggestion improve the server? More customization for one of the most used and visible features in GTA World. Additional information: Happy to hear about any additional suggestions. Ringtones for example? Might be worth a thread of its own.
  9. To expand on this. Where are the bands?
  10. Seconded, these guys are always bringing life to the town.

    Ingame News

Try /help and at least one of the options will open up a browser.

    Ingame News

Short description: Use the functionality from command /help (i.e. option Inventory) to create /news, which will lead to a subforum where only News/Media factions can publish/post. Detailed description: I don't see any presence of news factions in game. I'm sure they're out there, but they clearly do not have the presence that a news outlet should have. I think one way to improve this, is to make it easier and more obvious for players to actually view the content. Not everyone visits the forums often, and even less scroll down to the section where the news is actually posted. You really have to go looking for it. I think this could be made accessible in a better way by making use of the browser feature, also used in the /help command. This will make it easy for news factions to simply use the existing ad system to post a headline, and following it with a tag like /news, so everyone in the server very easily hit /news, and read up on the latest in Los Santos. This command could open the browser and lead to the existing news/blogs section, or a new forum where only specific factions can post. I am not quite sure how this is currently organized, but I am sure this can be determined and decided on without too much trouble. Commands to add: /news, an enhanced version of /help (inventory) Items to add: None How would your suggestion improve the server? Visibility for news factions, and more community engagement in general. Additional information: For some reason, the /help command is not listed in both the basic and the expanded command guides. What I often see, is people having trouble with actually closing the browser once they're done using it. If /news is to be implemented, it should be made exceptionally obvious that pressing F4 will close the browser, to avoid a flood of news readers who cannot return to their game any more.
  13. I hope you'll be able to be part of the community. You seem cool!
  14. For immersion perhaps it would be best to only show online status when the phone is actually online, since this is kept track of anyway. You need to be able to let people turn off their phones, whilst they remain online in the server. Same with the 'last online' status, it would best be tied to when the phone was last online, rather than the player.
  15. An option for rental; X:1776.82, Y:3327.605,Z:41.43329, R.x:0, R.y.0, R.z:41.02898
  16. Oh well, there's always other suggestions.
  17. If they have an ATM though...
  18. It just reloads the current page.
  19. Maybe instead of a jail, they should be guided to a Discord channel where they can talk about their experiences and learn from other people in order to try and see if they can improve their situation for the future. Perhaps this is not applicable to all that are banned or kicked. But it could be an attempt to see if they genuinely want to improve, instead of kicking/banning them, and then hoping it will turn out for the better afterwards. That being said, it would probably have to be assisted by volunteers.
  20. I saw this mentioned in the changelog, but I see no difference in behavior. What is supposed to be shown now?

    Revolvers

But it shouldn't make it less acceptable either. The entire game is based on extreme stereotypes. Now sure, this isn't the original game, but we're playing in an environment that's close to it. Out of all the things that would break immersion, a revolver wouldn't be one of them.

    Revolvers

No different from over half of the characters on the server.
  23. I mean, in the real world it funds various things. Having a flat fee seems a little simplistic to me, since it'll be just something property owners factor into their calculations. In game, one of the purposes it would serve is offset the balance between renting and ownership of a property, since ownership doesn't come with a lot of downsides, other than perhaps uncertainty. I'd rather see it shaped into paying characters to perform maintenance on properties. Lets say properties degrade from 100% to 0% in 30 or 60 days. A property at 0% becomes condemned and is returned to the state, which gives an RP solution to houses becoming abandoned by inactive players. Property owners can avoid having their properties being condemned by calling in 'maintenance', which could take the shape of construction companies, or many types of utility services, (maybe even collecting garbage adds 1% for example), which can in turn improve the conditions of the property (maybe by 25-75% for a visit, just random numbers at this point), for a fee which could be tied to (% of)the server market price of the property. This way, owning a property is not just buying something, finding tenants and then collection rents, but there'll be something more to it.
  24. It can serve as a tax on properties.
  25. I guess it also depends on the time of the day. It is also not necessarily easy to see who is driving like this, because they are driving like this...
