  1. it's due to the shocking percentage of the server that don't understand that their character isn't real, neither are their assets and nothing bad that happens to your character matters in the slightest. in all honesty though, it would help if these IC assets weren't such a grind of time to get but instead a test of your roleplay because thats the only real aspect of the server, your time invested. dont get me wrong and assume this means the assets matter, my point is if someone wants to roleplay anything that requires an asset in-game to be immersive, they shouldn't have to dedicate hours of their life doing medial driving routes side-jobs that will have no future impact on my character and will be more or less voided from memory. putting that into context of the topic though - people who are great roleplayers won't care even if they lose something they grinded for. it's part of their story. good roleplayers, whom are normally providing good content, might change their behaviour if said in-game asset is on the line, since it took time to get the money to buy it or could even be money itself. Then they rule break or break immersion. you either need to make it easier on those "good" roleplayers to not get so attached to their character and assets or up the standard to "great" roleplayers only. at which point you'll have a playerbase of fifty that will die out quicker than SA:MP. it's a fine line.

  6. i'm with the general consensus that it's more about punishing those who are below a "good" level. i know veteran roleplayers who still had to take two shots at the server application yet some of those that are accepted act as if its their first ever experience in a roleplay community. i think punishments are pretty fair here for people who slip up or act out occasionally but those that just aren't good enough need to be cracked down on, at least until they can prove they've drastically improved. on a side note the server is always going to be bashed with "dm server, noob server" w/e. roleplay communities have always had huge ego's, you just have to ignore it and remember half the time those that are saying it are probably part of the problem and upset over something in-character.

    RC-RP Players?

Played basically the servers entire life span take around 2-3 years.
  10. Anybody involved in the IFM great debate honestly. I was very sceptical of it before-hand but it seems like enough information has been accumulated to take steps in the right direction. I noticed the activity being mainly from: @honey. @Groz and @dxrkside (darkside isn't even IFM afaik and has still devoted plenty of time to push and enforce the discussion.)
  11. I don't think it was ever in question that the mods should stay if they aren't causing a problem.
  12. If you say so boss. I'm not here to argue with you anyway and thus nullify my suggestion. If you disagree then you disagree.
  13. Because it's not the sole factor. Everything adds up from players in an area, modded vehicles, amount of animations that need to sync - literally anything adds up. The modded vehicles just punch harder than anything else and they're next to pointless anyway.
  14. Okay I'll use my brain. The vehicles are hard implemented into your game on single player. Rage handles the mods for the server. Also ragemp adds more stress than GTA:V does on its own. With the basic stress of GTA:V your computers might be able to handle the vehicles mods but not with the added stress of the rage client. I didn't feel like this needed to be explained.
  15. I don't know what to tell you other than this isn't single player? lmao
  16. That's just not true. Explain to me why a club can have 15 vanilla cars outside and be fine, but a police scene with 5 vehicles is hell for some people. RageMP may be poorly optimized but that's the perfect reason why pushing its limitations is a terrible idea. Some peoples computers handle 90 percent of situations fine, I'm not saying that people with dogshit specs should complain, it's on them. However, the issue is when most of the server are complaining. If people require these mods to be immersed they should look at themselves and not the server or other people. GTA V may be old and becoming slightly outdated with the times but when it comes to vehicles atleast; there's more than enough potential in the vanilla game.
