  1. I get your point but this is the reality of business in the real world too. Owning something that requires a ton of outgoings and coordination is challenging but you can reap higher rewards. On the flip side it's a lot easier to plummet your business into the red. If you treat it as an IC issue it's more than do-able with the right mindset; you shouldn't rely on the fourty thousand bonus to make an income.
  2. I bashed this game for a month straight. Stopped playing cause I thought it'd died + my group stopped playing.
  3. I think the, essentially free, $40,000 bonus is already generous enough to any business at the moment. I wouldn't necessarily change it since it seems to be working fine, however if I was to change it I'd suggest a complete nerf to the system in general. This is why bigger businesses that can't afford to profit soley off $40,000 should, and usually do, improvise with entry fee's, making actual brewery connections to supply their alcohol, or choose to just hire everyone in-house instead of recruiting external security. I'm an illegal role-player though so my opinion only comes from the outside looking in, so take with a pinch of salt.
  4. It's literally a command so your character can physically flip a coin or roll a dice, shouldn't ever be used for anything else imo. I'd argue that it's poor portrayal 100% of the time.
  5. You'd also complain if half the illegal community was banned, leading illegal roleplay to fold in on itself and therefore more than half of the server activity. It's not the most moral fix to the solution but probably the most logical one. Of course there was probably an ounce of financial investment in this decision from removing a fraction of the playerbase but it's also in our best interest as players for the server to remain as active as possible. If you have the mentality to cheat here anyway, you're more than likely going to continue too and improved systems to catch cheaters are just going to lead to a ban down the line anyway. Two most likely out comes are: A) Cheater continues to cheat and gets banned. B) Somebody who was cheating gets a wake-up call and stops. I'm fine with either of those outcomes.
  6. I agree, since there's probably people with the extensive knowledge required to kick start certain concepts that for one reason or another just don't have the time or motivation to do it themselves. If they could weigh in their opinions and/or knowledge without creating the concept themselves? That would help players who don't feel confident with the concept to give it a shot if they want too.
  7. I agree but I also find that if there is female characters who's roleplayers are interested in this, what would they do? Create it themselves? Sounds like a simple answer to most but with a lot of people, concept creation is not for them. Maybe through lack of confidence, experience or knowledge in the topic. For example, I personally wouldn't mind giving this roleplay a try but I'd need help and guidance in portraying a character in this unfamiliar environment, let alone in creating the concept myself. Then if you're like me and do not want to create the concept, you still may be interested in the concept but unfortunately it doesn't exist. Most roleplay concepts start when a single person or a small group with extensive interest lay the foundations out for others and it just hasn't happened here yet, for whichever reason. I'd rather see it done right by a group like the before mentioned than done for the sake of it.

    NC Abuse

Robbery roleplay is in the moment, so you'd have to finish the scene as per server rules. If you're being extorted and felt like namechanging out of it was an option then fuck it, let them do it. You're not obliged into long term contracts to other peoples roleplay.
  9. I was told by in-game assistance that it's fixed but awaiting for server restart.

    NC Abuse

People are here to have fun and if jail roleplay isn't for them then why should they be forced to do it? Why should you be forced to continue a character for ANY reason?
  11. imo the server is at a loss (and benefiting) one way or the other. the server houses way too many players for everybody to agree and get along, unfortunately that just how it is. i like things being as realistic as possible yet when I feel I don't get that here, where's the alternative? some want something light hearted but when they find this too serious, what's their alternative? hence the melting pot and constant bickering we get
  12. Ironic how you were quick to say the people with bats didn't fear the gun, yet the other play is allowed to take three cracks of a bat whilst smoking a cig, have time to drop his cig and pull his pistol out (all whilst running in circles). There's a difference between not breaking rules and roleplaying something plausible, if you only care about the first then try FiveM voice.
  13. I don't disagree but that's the point of this guide, trying to influence people to roleplay it out. I don't agree with cutting interactions and externally planning wars but I think it's a bandage solution for the current situation in order to keep faction conflict roleplayed. At the end of the day the only solution is for IFM to take a harder approach on poor portrayal instead of just punishing rule breakers on technicality. Half of what I put in this guide probably should be solid ruling imo and not just advice.
  14. It's more the AI mechanics in having it drive by itself. Although not complicated, they eat resources. I assume it's one of the main reasons pets are so expensive too.
  15. I can't speak on what police officers can and can't do but I'm more than with you. The issue with that isn't anything to do with property or assets, more the fact they're allowed to do that in the first place. There's plenty of property around, I'm just assuming they aren't what you have in mind. It's a problem that can easily be taken ICly. Sometimes irl you have to settle for an area because others you looked at didn't have anything, or were not what you were looking for. Where you roleplay well this is happening is completely up to you, it doesn't have to be homeless. There's motels you can roleplay living in as you're looking for a place, or say you're staying with a family member until you can find somewhere. If it took a year, or over, then the problem is with you and your preference of what property you want. You clearly only want the best your character can afford, since I found a property in my factions territory two days after opening it. My friend then got one a floor down, literally days later. Properties are there, its just the lavish ones that are taken. Solving this is a byproduct of my suggestion. You can afford a great house but there aren't any? Someone namechanges and it becomes available. Do you not think that part of the reason certain properties may be so rare is because when people name change, they keep them and sit on them? A great point was raised earlier of that, you can't transfer your items without a request. So why can you just namechange and keep them? Because it's the same slot?
  16. I think it'd make more sense to just simply add an NPC'd train, if anything. Firstly I was against this whole idea in general but when you think of the County being so far away ICly, it would give players a much logical IC way of getting to and from.
