I completely agree a character doesn't have to be completely different to be a realistic and good, in-dephtly developed one. But one thing I've always struggled to wrap my own head around is why are 90% of characters on the server supermodels? There are obviously a lot of people who don't go that way, but I think far too many people try to create their characters above-average looking and it has always bothered me for some reason.

The way I see it, there should just be stricter laws IC against wearing masks instead of enforcing it OOC. Masks don't need to banned IC either, but when an individual is circling around in a high crime area, fitting the profile of someone who might commit a crime, the presence of a mask should be an acceptable means of building probable cause. However, if players go around, masked 24/7, chain-robbing vehicles, that's a roleplay quality concern instead. But it's not something that should have a specific rule against it.

But that goes both ways. The illegal roleplayers show no remorse for their actions either and often times act without caring about the consequence. I absolutely agree with your point though, but I'm just saying it's not one-sided.

Detailed Description Make it so that when opening up the saved animations wheel either via the X menu or via U, it would also be capable of saving custom animations otherwise done by /customanim. Relevant Commands/Items /customanim, animation wheel How will it benefit the server? The small change would make custom animations much easier to use as they can be difficult to type out and accessing them through /anim and customfavorites is bothersome. Would be much easier to do it via just tapping U. It would liven up roleplay scenes with people having easier access to more complex animations.

This is just an example of how many databases the ALPR runs every single license plate through. It even looks up prior offenses.

Not a 100% sure but I think this has already been recommended or is under discussion? I completely agree though that this is a much needed addition.

Why does the vehicle have to be in place for the system to pick up the plate? The showing of results can be delayed, yes, but the actual reading of the plate via the camera is instant. And how does it make sense to have to roleplay an AUTOMATED system every single time? It's called AUTOMATIC for a reason. Having to roleplay turning it on, yes, but every single use? Even from a realism standpoint there are a lot less cameras present than in real life (due to us having no stationary traffic cameras, which LA has a large number of: https://www.photoenforced.com/la.html . I have never, during my criminal roleplay, felt at any point the ALPR system is overpowered for law enforcement. Full disclaimer though: I am a member of PD currently, but no, I do NOT have access to ALPR vehicles, so I'm not defending my own ability to use them. E: Vehicles that have no visible plates at all are already very overpowered, as the only way to actually see the plate on it is the ALPR. If a vehicle like that gets stopped in a traffic stop, I guaranteed that the owner will roleplay it having a plate on and visible, but when fleeing say a robbery scene there is no way to know without ALPR if the vehicle even has a plate at all.

I have actually seen someone washing their car in the driveway before and it literally turned into a 30 minute conversation, which was great roleplay, so this ability creating extra RP is a very valid point.

I too am a long-time fan of this mod but it's just not worth the performance drop.

I think that instead of this law enforcement should be the ones with access to the command to report a vehicle stolen, not the owners at all. Realistically, you can't just leave your make model and plate at an automated line. You have to file an actual police report, meaning someone has to take it and then enter the vehicle's information to the database of stolen vehicles.

Absolutely support this. A much better system would be say an /ame appearing, which states that the phone is either ringing or vibrating, depending on the settings, with the ability to put it on silent also being a thing.
