  1. the bag goes away when i put on any different kind of bag like a backpack but comes back when i drop it and refresh or switch back outfits
  2. didn't work wouldn't work as there is no instance where the bag stops appearing, it's always there for some reason suppose i would have to recreate all of the outfits as one of the steps indicate
  3. i haven't held a duffel bag in my inventory recently (apart from trying to fix this issue) but a duffel bag seems to be attached to about half of my outfits i've tried putting it back on, taking it off, doing /changechar in between to see if it would register and save getting in and out of vehicles /fixinvi /refresh none of it works any advice is appreciated i don't want to have to redo these outfits thanks

i've recently been reminded of that video you or dean uploaded of us playing csgo because it comes up on searching my name good times and even more during that gang alliance we had
  5. starting to sound like it's habbo hotel in gta
  6. mid last year (june to august) i did a lot of taxi driving because there wasn't much else to do very enjoyable, apart from the taxi robberies/kidnappings which are a non issue since the rule addition i've tried taxi duty in recent months and it's all changed, hardly anyone requests a taxi unfortunately
  7. if there are areas more "dangerous" than vespucci, south ls and downtown/central vinewood i'd like to hear them interestingly i originally did this before the new robbery rules, i haven't been on since then
  8. i get why it might be fun for them to drive like that but it really doesn't seem like the server to do so, the last time i had fun driving was in blaine county in a convoy, on rural roads you can really drive more loosely with more space for error, but the monotonous car crash rp should be enough to keep people in line unless they either enjoy it or always drive away leaving it a hit and run
  9. no average/passable vehicle performance is just fine because you'll be stopping at most junctions/intersections anyway if you don't want to get into a 1 hour car crash rp scenario and i actually enjoy that there is a reason to actually stop for safety, or give other people passes
  10. good to see i'm not alone, it seems like one in five comments in general discussions always come back to this robbery problem when i started playing again mid last year (june to august), i put in a couple hours a day (sometimes three hours) as a taxi driver, and i got kidnapped once (skinhead rp) and was subject to a taxi robbery as well, a friend of mine also was victim to a taxi robbery, and another friend got kidnapped/robbed early server time while walking near rockford plus a voided taxi robbery nowadays i don't have any real reason to play, so i've hopped on a few times on a new character, spent time walking around areas that i assume are unsafe (most of south ls, downtown vinewood then vespucci) while the server's at 600+, just to put it to the test since it seems to be the biggest complaint on the server and sounded like a fun experiment i do this walk around several blocks, fully prepared to be robbed, looking vulnerable, and i just can't get anyone to rob me, people keep driving past, other pedestrians struck up conversations, but that's as far as it goes it definitely happens but i'm starting to think it's either massively blown out of proportion as you said, maybe certain players are sensitive to the robberies and overreact to a single occurrence players who complain are spending a massive amount of hours per day and more likely to be robbed some immensely bad luck where these players are getting targeted more than the rest of us might log in more and document what i find, it'll still be anecdotal but at least it will be more organised
  11. don't know if you played in 2017/18 but you'd be even more surprised at how it's changed since then, player count aside
  12. in my experience, it was all of it yes people parked and showed off their vehicles, but people also stood around for interaction, i haven't seen strangers interacting with each other like they used to when mirror park plaza was the spot legion square's okay, i came across a unicorn called horatio there about a month or two ago, i'd idle there mid last year during taxi fares and found some other entertaining characters also, it's very central and mildly fun to watch so much of the server's traffic pass through like you rarely see in any rp server nervous had that one awkward period of "centralising" to mirror park and at the time albanians and italians had tension, yet they were basically forced to stay in this one small neighbourhood because there weren't many other options to congregate at i have countless screenshots of so much that happened in mirror park plaza between 2017/18, it was a really eventful spot at that time the server was peaking at maybe 100 if i remember right and if you dared to guess that most people were doing interior rp, most of the discord would look down on you, it was all very divisive
  13. mirror park was basically this in 2017/18 but it was looked down on, and the majority still roleplayed in interiors the closest thing now is legion square
  14. unfortunately i think we're in the minority for this kind of thing, or it wouldn't all be as prominent as it currently is and i reckon it's passively encouraged because people see examples and follow along
  15. my bar was done this way in early 2018, i didn't understand the need for the construction rp at first but i did enjoy firms making bids on my project and competing with each other until i picked one, then came the actual meeting/payment rp while property admins (at the time it was just norrig) facilitated the whole process, mining also had its part in it where i had to supply some of the construction material and it gave me another goal to work towards, but i know for sure mining won't ever make a return i saw this one time in 2018 and the only other attendee was screwing around with the host and trying too hard to be funny, i can't imagine religious rp actually being received well in any gta rp server
  16. that sounds like a great addition to south ls and it's extremely disappointing to hear it got shut down i did assume it was quite accurate for medicine but wanted a margin of error, it's one of my all time favourite shows and the writers always kept the right amount of actual hospital work within each episode's plot, and they'd use them as guides for the more personal/social stories in each episode, that's exactly how rp professions should be
  17. i'm realising that players in this community value time very differently, i've seen many instances of your first example and these "characters" are so void of any development or personality that they could be replaced with ai/npc, their character's role seems to be their primary function new mantra to follow you could use scrubs as another example, i'm sure people who work in hospitals point out all kinds of flaws in the show but the average viewer definitely never cared, and the writers didn't spend the whole 20 odd minutes per episode focusing on teaching the viewer about medicine, we all know scrubs didn't portray a hospital with 100% accuracy, but it made for some very entertaining tv regardless and that's what you want from fiction
  18. wouldn't be surprised if you sped off because it's much better than dealing with one line per minute ticket-issuing roleplay where time seems to slow down
  19. the original way worked fine, the old outfit option still exists but you're forced to use the lock on camera at the barber shop, this isn't the place to say so but bringing back the old menu seems like an obvious choice
  20. thought i was the only one that noticed this, it's not just hyperrealism but generally a lot of avenues seem unlikely for players that can only play for a few hours per week, it can be very niche and there's not much room for suspension of disbelief and keeping details generic so a player can put their character in a certain role (like mod garages) i've accepted that "it is what it is", that's the rp style of the server and we take on what we can get (very base level service or civilian/social rp) and whatever you can afford to dedicate time/interest to if you don't want to spend your free game time studying call me shallow but i've played rp servers for years, for exactly what you've described it's meant to be entertaining just like any piece of fiction, fiction writers know where to draw the line with realism, they know when the amount of information becomes uninteresting and not remotely engaging, i can get behind having a basic knowledge of what you're doing and learning some terminology but any further than that becomes pedantic, which is fine if a server is looking to build incredibly niche circles but it can be extremely alienating
  21. this is the dream situation for a gta rp server, if only
  22. a lot of these responses could do with elaboration but it seems like they're incapable of that but anything that depends on having more admin involvement and emergency services/player activity is probably going to be problematic it's a good idea because player kills cause a lot of canonical issues when you're playing a game where you're bound to bump into your killer in the same day, but considering the current response times of admins i don't think this would work well
  23. i recall reading a long paragraph or two about mod garages being affected by trucking, and apparently truck robberies were the root issue but that's since been resolved (as i recall) as truckers get paid through bank rather than cash, so i would guess that most people find the job boring i've done it a few times myself, and if we put money aside, the leveling system isn't very forgiving and feels like a long road before you can drive a big vehicle, the /me and /do for loading/unloading becomes very repetitive after a few runs, more so when you realise nobody is actually around most of the time when you're doing it, and it's generally quite time consuming for very little reward, the only thing that makes it better is if your route can run along the highway and it feels like a good haul instead of stopping at an intersection every 10 seconds, but even then it won't stop the monotony of loading/unloading crate rp, "it's like this in real life" isn't a good argument either taxiing used to open up far more rp opportunities than trucking does, on top of getting to meet all kinds of people and having a reason to drive around the city, it also pays better, but i believe demand for taxis have gone down since the summer
