Kraethas
1) Allow players with a valid fixed wing pilot's license to circumvent the 20k ticket cost IF THEY OWN a passenger plane (Velum 5-seater, Nimbus) 2) Allow pilots who own a passenger plane access to a command /sellticket to players to "initiate" the flight between cities 3) Allow pilots who own a passenger plane to spawn with that plane in both city's airports. 4 Link to comment
Bingoliath
How is this going to play out in the long-term? Why should players invest their time making new characters for re-balancing of both servers If the total player base gets split in two, just imagine LS feeling empty at 400 players, now imagine LS on 200 players constantly. What if there's people already way too invested in the place where they're roleplaying, I don't see how the benefits will help re-balance the servers at all. Despite the UCP and whatnot and forums being merged together, that's probably not going to help with the division between the player base. What if the advertising doesn't work and the player count goes down? Will 300 players be balanced between two servers? LC Both will feel empty and desolate in that case. I don't see a way this plan would help save one or the other server from dying. Even if there was big benefits to going back to LS, personally, I wouldn't go. I feel like making two servers when the total active player base is 700 is just going to mess with everything even more. LS needs more players due to the size to feel active, yet at the same time LC needs less. That would mean for both servers to have considerable amounts of activity there would have to be 500-700 in LS and 400 in LC at peak hours. Chances are, advertising is barely going to work because this is a heavy, serious, text oriented RP server, not a lot of people enjoy those as we can see by the players on voice RP servers with heavy RPG elements in them. TL;DR Servers are going to probably both feel dead, balancing won't help when players are heavily invested in their characters. 8 Link to comment

The 20k ticket cost should go towards fuel and maintenance for plane owners IMO. Link to comment

Like, how long is that actually going to last? If this is the main thing GTA:W 3.0 brings, I'm pretty disappointed, because not only LS but LC will be in shambles. 4 Link to comment

Neszy
What does doing this actually accomplish? We have 600-650 total players AT BEST and nobody's going to be happy with a 50/50 population split (300 pop per server), which is the best case scenario here. This is a band-aid that does little more than signal that you're "doing something"; if I had to guess I'd say that this solution will do little more than exacerbate the problem, as established LS characters now have even less of a reason to stick around. 9 Link to comment

The wipe of records would benefit the playerbase with rehabilitated players, while repeated offenders can be punished again. But I also think admins, since voluntary, dont want to do double work. Anyway, thanks for LC! And good luck with 3.0! Link to comment
