  1. I can't take some people seriously here. They complain about the economy, and about it being broken, with so little money to be earned. At the same time they praise the $200,000 bonus that they got for sitting on their ass. This is a consequence of trying to take a literally communist system and desperately tweaking it to make it work with capitalist standards. This is not a political off-top so don't give me shit, but use it as an analogy if you really have to. Why do y'all expect them to give you more money if you already got this much for free? If you want more, be a good dog and help the regime inject more money into the economy by grinding your ass off, because that's how it works in democratic, capitalist states. This bonus seems like an awesome idea, you don't need to grind and you can live for free and just roleplay, but at the same time it has led to this - everyone being poor, with no future, no creative jobs, no opportunities and therefore it has created a lazy community, that just rolls with having free money cuz why the fuck would they complain about free cash? And the other people - grinding their asses off or (as mentioned before by someone else) simply stacking up bills for running some ABSOLUTELY BORING AND SHITTY ass bar or club, because of the GOV bonus. There is a very small sum of people who move out with something creative, but it usually gives them zero profit. If we could inject money into the economy by roleplaying, then there would be no issue. This leads me to another problem - the server (most of the time successfully) trying to force everyone into a fucking business, faction, over-all a group or something along those lines. There is no place for freelancers to earn money, and it doesn't matter how creative you are, simply fuck you, join a faction cuz that pays a lot and your problem is solved. I get it we're trying to bring people together, but forcing it on me personally just made me feel uncomfortable with the fact I have to rely on so many things just to get my career started IC. We get people trying to roleplay alone, selling their product and trying new things, and it's a hustle compared to getting paid a fuck ton in a faction like PD or FD for not doing anything most of the time.
  2. Agreed, if there's evidence and you get caught - you get life in prison.
  3. Would help in situations where you have a ton of people talking at once, very good idea.
  4. Discontinued for now, can be archived.
  5. Stupid prices = people doing stupid shit to get money to afford them. One of these stupid things is grinding.

    GTA Map?

No. You always have a compass and the street name on the bottom of your HUD though.

    The Singletons

**Comment from Aino.** Best place to get a hangover, but also heal it the next morning. On a serious note, it's a nice, well functioning place in a pretty decent location. Quality drinks, thanks to the main bartender who knows what he's doing. Strongly recommend.
  8. Should we close this thread and take it to discussions to think about alternatives to all these issues rather than do it here? Since the support is not what I expected for entrance fees & the car mods, I don't think it's going to pass one way or another. My point here is still about the server looking like a Fast&Furious movie, and not like a proper, realistic GTA roleplay server. Taste is subjective and we can't force anyone to remove their car mods, but at the same time having the server look like a Need For Speed game go wrong just looks bad. I can respect the community decisions, since it's democratic here and the majority of you don't care about the server looking like NFS:U2 (no offense) then in my book it does not make sense to change anything. As for entrance fees: the entire system sucks at the moment, and starting a business and going through the construction and all that bullshit can be a pain in the arse. I agree that in this case we don't need a removal of most stuff, but rather fixes to the issues. Keep in mind removal of entrance fees can be a non-catastrophic solution, if for example the costs of running a business were dropped down. We can still have bouncers roleplaying in front of clubs or bars, taking entrance fees from players in a full on IC way. Having it taken off of you by a system just looks like whoever setup the fee is greedy. As mentioned before: I personally think it's a bad system, but seeing the majority of you guys don't care about it, I can't force anything on you nor persuade anyone to do something different. Truth still is that with riced out cars, greedy business owners who are stat-whores and lack of events or scenarios the server is simply boring, there is no roleplay for casual players besides clubs, bars, driving and working. You can of course take a bunch of your IC friends to an outside location and drink, fuck, do whatever you want there. Problem still is interior roleplay, it's very hard to meet people around the entire city besides the highlight areas (Mirror Park and Vespucci). Also with everyone trying to drag your ass into an interior as soon as you meet them it is a problem. Is it a lack of outside possibilities? No, yet I still see lots of people prefer interior rp. We're not talking about gangs and other groups, but rather casual players who can't simply walk around the hood and ask everyone how their day is. But it's the same principle here: if you guys, meaning the majority of GTAW players, don't give a single one about everything I mentioned here, and you are fine with: - strictly interior rp; - boredom; - everyone driving like a maniac in a modded sports car; - business owners getting their money the easy way; Then it's not worth it to implement any of these suggestions, and might not even be worth it to talk about these issues, since nobody cares. Only possible good social roleplay is factions, clubs and other organizations. Most of the events created by the player base are interior based too - themed club parties being the ones seen most often. TL;DR: If nobody cares and are fine with how things are let's close this shithole down and take it to discussions. EDIT: PS: I don't mean to offend anyone here. I respect everyone's standpoint on all these issues, and I believe we can work something out to make it better for everyone.
  9. I meant literally freeroaming as in playing as if you were on a freeroam server - no fucks given, 200mph on city roads and all that. I honestly think that punishments, even bans for these people are a good option, I want the entire admin team to know we're a wall protecting you if anyone gives you shit for it. You gotta do it, then do it. If it's for the greater good, cut off the cancer. It is true that people who own even good looking cars, not riced out ones are being thrown in the same "street racer trash" bag by me and most casual people, and that is a consequence of how the bad side of that scene has portrayed themselves. This is what I'm refering to, someone buy that guy a beer.
  10. That's a very good point and it's what we should actually be dealing with. Any ideas on how to stop people free roaming and driving like cunts? The driving school surely doesn't help. Cops don't give a shit. edit: I understand your point as a fellow enthusiast myself, so me being pissy about riced out Elegys - at least you get it.
  11. No, just sell comic books for hundreds of dollars. Not like anyone is gonna complain. They're getting two hundred grand for just playing on the server. I'd rather give you money in character than have some stupid system scam me off of it for entering an empty business in hope of finding someone to roleplay with. Economy on roleplay servers can never be the same for everything, since there are things that are easier to buy, and harder to buy. You need to adapt, and not change the entire economy just for one purpose. Also there is no point of ranting about the economy, if you adapt you'll survive. With that being said: I still think entrance fees are a scam and should be removed completely, and replaced by higher prices, because you're actually giving money to players and not having it forced off of you so a lazy owner can scratch their ass as they see thousands of dollars pass onto their accounts. Edit: an offer system for businesses would solve this problem. How does it work? /o(ffer) [ID] brings up a menu. You pick an item from the menu and wait for the player to confirm the purchase, just like it is done in the 24/7s. And since it's been done for the 24/7s there is no need to re-script it. A small percentage for the purchase goes to the player who offers the item, the rest goes to the business. Edit two: F**K IT JUST MAKE A MENU FOR BUSINESSES LIKE IT IS FOR 24/7S AND EVERYONE WILL BE HAPPY. Just make the items more unique, or something. Otherwise nobody will be coming to businesses, since there's no point.
  12. Then the entrance fees should be removed from businesses that are empty. When the script detects there is nobody inside, it should automatically disable entrance fees. If I get you guys to agree on this idea I'll edit the thread and mention this idea.
  13. If you wanted to actually make money you'd never open something dedicated to such small community though, that's coming from me - someone who is not a business expert at all.
  14. If they can provide good roleplay, then they can make good money. As the one above said: they are an easy source of income for lazy statwhores, and that has an impact on over-all roleplay quality of everyone, not just them.
  15. ONE: CAR MODIFICATIONS. Short description: More expensive car mods. Detailed description: In order to stop people from being rally drivers, who drift around to park their riced out Elegys. And of course, to remove the option to create more riced out cars with massive wings on the back. This is not GTA Online. (RICE = Race Inspired Car Modifications, basically in other words: making your cars look like they came straight out of NFS:U2. To rice a car out means to make it look like it came out of a early 200s F&F movie or video game.) As said: this is NOT GTA Online and we can not keep these kinds of vehicles on the server if we're aiming to create a "realistic" atmosphere, simulating the real California. Real California has a massive car scene, but it doesn't mean that 50% of the cars are riced out Skylines or Supras. Commands to add: - Items to add: - How would your suggestion improve the server? It's worth restricting the tuning aspect, because it will save us from crying over people destroying otherwise nice looking cars. On a serious note: it will make the server more realistic, and it might make people think twice before they do anything stupid to their car. Additional information: Removing tuning over-all could be a good idea, but I can see the entire community getting pissy about it, so I'd stick with restricting it. TWO: ENTRANCE FEES. Short description: Complete removal of the entrance fees. Detailed description: I can't stand the fact that lazy stat-who... business owners abuse this feature to get easy money from noobs, who just roam around the map looking for roleplay inside empty, but still open businesses. Commands to add: - Items to add: - How would your suggestion improve the server? It would push all the stat-... Okay, I'll stop using that term. It will make people take care of their damn businesses more, that's it. Additional information: From what I've seen people treat businesses as nothing, but cash generators most of the time. This is unacceptable and allows for an easy "no f given" source of income. THREE: CREATE A TEAM OF ADMINS (OR SUPPORTS) RESPONSIBLE FOR INTERESTING SCENARIOS. Short description: Self-explainatory, just like there is management, there could be some of you guys responsible for creating scenarios. By scenarios we mean some kinda events, not just ((OOC: It's raining get dressed up properly or u get the aj lmao)). Detailed description: We, as in players who think of roleplay a little bit differently and wanna take it just a tad more seriously than the majority demand interesting events that everyone can participate in. You always try to leave it out to the players, but nothing is happening. I would not post this suggestion in the thread if we actually had anything interesting happen. Of course we get massive parties in clubs and all that, but it's like eating the same meal for every day of your life - it just gets boring. Commands to add: - Items to add: - How would your suggestion improve the server? I Think this is pretty self-explainatory. Additional information: No need for additional information.
  16. Excuse my French, but I think nobody gives a damn about having anything unique on this server. In true honesty: the map is TOO big (for 100-130 players, which is the peak) and littered with bad quality places, which the author of the post has talked about: bars, clubs and stripclubs/bordellos. There is way too many boring, bad quality businesses, which open once in a while and too little good quality ones that only open for one or two hours daily and shut their doors afterwards. I hate to complain about this kinda stuff here, because many things that I consider wrong with this server other people find quite normal, but that's my two cents. [edit] In addition: businesses f... suck on this server, at least most of them. Anything unique doesn't live for a long time, but businesses are not a problem. Lack of other events is. The server is simply boring on itself sometimes. That's why people used to drive around and grind scripted jobs 24/7. Most of the time there is no social events and new roleplayers find it tough to even start off.
  17. Drop the removal price to $500, no further philosophy is needed.
  18. Date and place of birth: January 3rd 1998, Hamburg (Germany) Full name and last name: Kristoffer Gabriel Braunstein Location: Los Santos, San Andreas Occupation: Unknown Chapter one: Childhood. (1998-2018) Kristoffer's childhood went easy, without much problems within the first ten years of his life. As his life progressed though, he became a nightmare to his parents, whom have kicked Kristoffer out of their house along with his brother Matthias. Chapter two: What happened then? (2018) Matthias - his brother has already been twenty three by that time, Kristoffer - just twenty years old. Both brothers were small-time criminals from Berlin, who have also happened to be fans of the 187 Strassenbande music group. Cities in Germany, especially Hamburg were full of people such as Kristoffer and Matthias - young kids, most of which have dropped out of school to then become criminals, inspired by the 187 lifestyle. It was a way of life, on the streets of Hamburg. Something about it simply attracted many young boys' attention. Kristoffer became a drug dealer; selling cocaine, amphetamine and marijuana in Hamburg. The money which he had saved up let him and his brother fly away to the United States, in pursue of bigger money and spreading Polish product (amphetamine) around the American streets. His brother had already established contact with the Paleto Bay's German community, mostly compiled of neo-nazis and German gangsters. As soon as Matthias got a chance to meet up with his fellow friends in Paleto Bay, Kristoffer was trying to straighten his life out in Los Santos. He had bought a small apartment in Paleto Bay for him and his brother to sleep in, and used to drive for a long time everyday to Los Santos for work. Meanwhile his brother was rolling in cash, destroying bars, beating people up and bringing the 187 lifestyle over to Paleto Bay. Kristoffer, seeing his brother's success decided to give up on any legal jobs to pursue the life of a drug dealer. Chapter three: Paleto Bay's German gangsters are succesfully wiped out from the area. (late 2018-2019) After that happened, most of the German community, well... got literally wiped out from Paleto Bay. The Sheriff's operation was a success, leading to multiple arrests and deaths of the group members. The Braunstein brothers were forced to escape the area and pursuit a different lifestyle, somewhere else. Matthias has then returned back to Hamburg from the United States, while back in Germany he became a very succesful rapper. Kristoffer decided to stay in Los Santos for a few reasons. One of them being the fact that he wasn't affiliated with the group that much, but was rather someone who just hanged out along with them in bars and clubs. Obviously, the second reason was that as a young man he found Los Santos to be just perfect for him. Both to live in, and to sell drugs in. Chapter four: what's up with Kristoffer now? (2019) Life has been very lucky for Kristoffer in Los Santos. As he started to look around the city more and more, he had found people he can count on. Currently having contacts with the Jamestown Mafia and the Crips - Kristoffer is well set up, without even being a member in neither of the organizations. His plan is to have good contacts with everyone in Los Santos, just in case anyone has something interesting in offer. One of the reasons that prevents Kristoffer from joining any organized crime groups is the scenario of a conflict in between two, or more organizations. He would never appreciate being a side of such conflict, hence it could potentialy make it nasty for him and his business. As of now, Kristoffer owns a small apartment in Vespucci, which is the place he is usually seen at. Daily driving a grey Oracle XS, enjoying his life in the morning and the afternoon, and selling weed in the evening. ((OOC NOTE <spoiler>))
  19. I agree that the jobs should be reworked, and be more focused on interaction. I love that they implemented it to 24/7 shops, gas stations and all that - it's awesome, because you don't have decreases in roleplay activity - if you're bored and can't find anyone to roleplay with, or your friends are offline you just go to a gas station and there will be a cashier, or even a bunch of people nearby. Though... I think it would be better to replace the current mining, fishing, trucking and all that RPG bullshit with straight up working in a 24/7 or Gas Station. Some people want to grind money on roleplay, and you won't stop them, but we can make sure they do it while interacting with others, not driving from Del Perro to the fish buyer. I have not yet worked in any legal factions, so I'll skip on that point. But grinding is another way to screw the economy and you can make it just a little bit less severe. In my honest opinion, drugs are not as profitable as they should be on a roleplay server too. But since this is mostly a topic around legal stuff, I don't know if I should even bring this up.
  20. I am very happy that you have listened to me, and the whole community to make things better. I'm really happy RPG jobs will be gone, I also heard entrance fees will be gone - that's very, very good.
  21. Yeah, there is something I don't get here. >call yourself a HEAVY rp server >make it so /me and /do are 10 words max >which leads to /me ... -> /do (...) -> /do (...) -> /do (...) -> /do (...) and it goes on >also limit the speech for no reason >also use a unnecessarily big font in your chat >which makes everything appear to be bigger leading to character limits So basically he is right. Dear Machine (also known as server), If you want to limit me and force me to use /do multiple times for one rp action - go for it, just let me know when you limit me. - hentai!
