  1. I agree with this. It's a questional change/addition to the rules. A well seasoned crew would put their effort into making an escape plan; which includes parking the getaway vehicle a little distance away if there is no designated driver. Ban robberies at this point, because the rules are becoming more and more restrictive. Having to wait for staff for permissions to commit a robbery takes the fun out of it. It restricts roleplay, heavily. And targets are unreliable. They could be online for 10 minutes, they could be online for 1 hour; but if you have to wait at least 30 minutes for a /report to be answered? Just delete your illegal character at that point. It's a stupid rule and it should be removed or heavily changed.
  2. "Problem" People have been sending "content" via text for years but sending actual messages through Discord, or Facebrowser. There is no "Problem". On Topic: Support 110%.
  3. Damn... I remember this being a thing on RC:RP back in the old SAMP days. Running through Whetstone collecting shrooms LOL
  4. This, plus... MAKE /HIGHLIGHTCOLOUR SAVE, FOR THE LOVE OF GOD.
  5. MONGOLS 4 LYF.
  6. airplanes in the night sky are like shooting stars! he could really use a wish right now...
  7. Uh-huh, uh-huh... (I totally didn't read most of this topic.) So what about the "wannabe" gangsters who keep trying to add legal characters on Facebrowser (even when it doesn't make sense. Like, come on, stop adding random people as friends.)
  8. -1 on reverting the update, because even with the reduction, I have barely had to refuel my vehicles. I could still go to the moon and back without even breaking a sweat or having to fuel.
  9. Alright. Since a few people want to derail the thread and be misogynistic (like the people above me), I'll go ahead and ask for this thread to be locked and archived. I'll take my sweet ass time skimming through it - however, I might still go ahead with the creation of a Script Suggestion regarding the suggestion that @realitysurf made. I believe it to be the best compromise.
  10. If I want to play all by myself, I'll just return to Regular GTA Online, or Singleplayer. I am here to roleplay with other people, in a community for people, by people. Prison Roleplay was created to add even more roleplaying opportunities, but alone - there is not much you can do in a prison. All I could really do was roleplay a shower, and/or maybe a few games of Solitaire with a deck of cards. Having to spam those /me's repeatedly gets tediously boring over time. You're basically breaking the rule about spamming /me's or duplicate /me's at this point - you might as well be using an AHK program to place the /me's for you. Sure, I did the crime, I should certainly do the time. But if all I am doing is passively roleplaying by myself, its mind numbing. And having to spam /jevent or /jrequest just for a chance of 1 CO showing up briefly for about 30 minutes of roleplay isn't really helping my case much either. Your statement makes no sense. "If you need others for roleplay, maybe you should look elsewhere. You don't need others for roleplay." I don't know how, or where you have been roleplaying for the past 10 years, but from what I remember, roleplaying with one another was highly advised. Passive roleplay should be part of that, sure, but it shouldn't take up 80% of your time spent on the server. Edit: MTA:SA didn't invent their slogan "Stop playing with yourself" for fun.
  11. Again, this is simply making a player "leave" the server for a few days if they are unwilling to create an alt, and it doesn't really promote any roleplay. It feels like an admin jail.
  12. This. With the second suggestion, there basically is no way to cause an imbalance.
  13. Might I remind everyone that I added a different suggestion to the thread that is better than the reduced sentencing?
  14. This. Plus, using "Stash" when dropping an item from your inventory allows you to stash whatever you want to stash wherever you want to stash it.
  15. I have added the above suggestion to the main Discussion Thread. Keep it in mind when discussing further please!
  16. Actually, I see this being a much better compromise to the whole entire problem than my suggestion... It prevents Criminals suddenly rolling Male to Female characters because it keeps a balance. Shouldn't be too difficult to script in. If less than 3-5 players are in that respective pod, then time should go down 3x (or 5x?) as fast. If 3-5 or more players are in that respective pod, then time should pass as normally (with 3x as fast with roleplay). To clarify, the reduction should only occur when the player is online - same as it goes with having to roleplay when logged in to reduce time. If this is received better than the reduced sentencing for females, I will forward it as a Game Suggestion.
  17. I'm not giving officers a ride on the roller coaster every time I beg for a "Get out of jail free" card.
  18. Before you go ahead and skip over the entire thread and bash it, hear me out. Currently, there is little to no female populus in the Twin Towers Correctional Facility. There is no female lifers, and there is only one or two standard bookings each week. This means that females suffer from the significant disadvantage that they cannot really actively roleplay in prison to make time pass faster. In the 2 times that I have been arrested in the last 7 days, all I've done is sit at a table, and drop the occasional /me of a sigh, cough, or hum, whilst playing Microsoft Solitaire on my second screen. There is no active roleplay for me to commit to, meaning that I would have to break the rules and "spam" duplicate /me's. Hence, I kindly ask the community to consider halving sentences for females, or at least lowering them by %25, considering that there is no roleplay for us to find in Twin Towers at all. Sure, I can ask for a CO every once in a while in /jrequest, but then I'd still be mostly roleplaying by myself as CO's spend most of their time observing you, not really interacting with you - this might be different for the Male (A) Pod, but it is what I have experienced as a female roleplayer. It almost feels like being admin jailed. Sure, you can argue that "if you can't serve the time, don't do the crime", but there is a reason that the County Jail exists. Yet, there is no roleplay to be had as a female. You can also argue that "you can't offer females reduced sentences, because every criminal would suddenly become all females", but I highly doubt that this will be the case, as a huge portion of criminal organisations exist primarily out of men. There needs to be some kind of solution to solve this problem with the non-existant female roleplay in TTCF. And no, creating one giant pod for both genders is simply not going to work out, because people are fucked up and will try to do fucked up things in that pod. EDIT: The following is a suggestion from @realitysurf which seems like a better compromise than my suggestion above. If it receives more support than the reduced Female Sentencing, then I will forward it as a Game Script Suggestion.
  19. No, not a chance. Whilst I appreciate the added realism of the system, it can be easily abused by trollers and the likes who purposely damage other players' vehicles so they have to keep paying for engine repairs. $500 is plenty. Leave it that way. -1.
  20. Yes, please. Whilst I understand most other commenters when it comes to stuff like gangs, I believe adding/allowing (M) characters was a mistake. The cat-calling by minor characters is starting to become an annoyance. And some people don't want to make reports about these occurances because some people don't want to spend a week or more playing a he-said-she-said contest with someone in a Forum Report.
  21. The amount of times this has been suggested and thrown around the forums, with multiple discussions going back and forth, should really start to open the eyes of the Firearms Licensing Division, as well as Legal Faction Management and the likes. I too agree that the current CCW exam, despite being "in accordance with the law", is set up to fail you by the means of repeat questions, as well as several trick questions. It becomes very frustrating for a player to have to re-apply time and time again, then fail each time, and be "banned" from applying for months at a time. Not to mention the absolute bias some FLD officers have shown me before, where for 3 attempts, the Good Cause for my CCW was accepted, then suddenly that same good cause being denied once or twice during two more attempts. The law needs to be rewritten, as well as the exam. The only players who can currently benefit from weapon possesion are County Roleplayers who can openly carry outside of the incorporated area. The rest has to have it on their glovebox, and quickly /vinv it to take it out - which takes precious seconds. Then, after having defended themselves with a PF, they run the risk of still being arrested by highly misinformed officers who believe that people without a CCW cannot defend themselves publicly (and I have almost had this happen before on an alt that is now long gone.) Yes, some of this should be taken ICly and brought up with the FLD. HOWEVER, 9/10 times before a suggestion like this is closed, we are told/reminded that "Legal Faction Management approved this and that, take it up with them". Hence, taking it ICly is not entirely possible (but I am not saying it is impossible either). I also agree with the fact someone said that "An illegal roleplayer can obtain a weapon in mere minutes, despite the character being new or not." Legal Roleplayers can hardly benefit from a weapons license within the incorporated area if they cannot Conceal Carry because they keep failing the exam and getting banned from reappling for months at a time, every time, all time.
