  1. Are you editing the price upwards? confused w/ all the low offers
  2. Flipcoin i think is fine for some circumstances, but roll i believe is too vague, it doesnt make sense unless characters have stats to base dice number and rolls.
  3. damn i want this too but i think that's gonna make some code spaghettis and make mapping functionality buggy, hope im so wrong, and i support this.
  4. Thanks for taking the time to respond. You made some interesting points, and it's clear you've thought a lot about this. I can totally see why you believe (M) roleplay is a crucial part of the server's dynamic, especially when it comes to the realism of gang activities. About Gang Dynamics: I still stand by the idea that we could manage to portray an immersive and complex narrative without the need for minor characters. The beauty of roleplay is how we can develop and transform our characters in ways that are not bound by their in-character age. We can have a character start off as a new gang member, show them as they make mistakes, learn and eventually rise through the ranks, all without having them start off as a minor. We need to come back to the reality that this is not IRL, and so we should not prioritize simulating real life gang dynamics over the other issues i presented in the initial thread (which is the dangerous play dynamic of having both ERP and M chars, and borderline pedophiles hanging around living off their fantasies. ) Plus, our main goal should be creating a safe and comfortable environment for everyone on the server. We need to be careful that we aren't encouraging potentially harmful scenarios, even unintentionally. About Legal Faction Dynamics: I don't believe that prohibiting or limiting minor roleplay would lead to that. There are still plenty of ways to create tension, conflict, and narrative progression outside of the minor character context. Adult characters can still form and join gangs, commit crimes, and create that needed friction with law enforcement. And as for the realism aspect, there are many elements of real life we deliberately avoid replicating in our roleplay environments because they can lead to discomfort or harm. The key is to strike a balance between keeping the game interesting and ensuring the comfort and safety of players. About Authors writing minor characters: While it's true that authors often write about teenage characters, there's a big difference between a written story and a roleplay server where real people are involved in the narrative. In a book, the author has full control over the characters and their interactions, but in a roleplay server, that's not the case. I'm not totally against (M) roleplay, but I believe we should have stricter rules and possibly even limit the contexts in which minor characters can be used. The last thing we want is for any player to feel uncomfortable or for the server to be open to misuse. Thanks for your input. Yes, not all of us have lived as teens in the U.S., but remember, we're talking about a roleplay server here, not real life. The aim is to create a balanced, enjoyable, and safe environment for all players, regardless of their real-life location or experiences. -- I also acknowledge that our reporting system is a critical tool for addressing inappropriate behaviors. But the point is not merely about reacting to these instances but about taking proactive steps to prevent them in the first place. Consider this: we can continually apply band-aids to a recurring wound, or we can address the source of the injury to prevent it from happening again. Through rethinking or reworking the system, we can hopefully reduce the instances where these band-aid solutions are needed. One potential approach could be introducing a specific 'minor character' role, similar to how we have 'prison characters.' It could be a lot of work, and a lot of thought-process/brainstorming, but with restrictions in place, we can minimize degradation of overall RP experience of everyone in the server as clearly the server is divided with the existence of (M) RPers, many are just fed up and result to ignoring them as a whole. Again thanks for hearing me out and if we end up not agreeing at all that's fine, It's just a suggestion at the end of the day. Cheers.
  5. Hi, I would like to keep the discussion as straightforward as possible, we'll only tackle things that would be relevant to the case here, and so, here is why I am suggesting for (M) RP to be removed from the server. Here is the rationale: 1. Maintaining a Safe Gaming Environment: The digital world (Internet), unfortunately, isn't free from inappropriate behavior and interactions. By allowing minor characters in our server, we could unintentionally provide an avenue for predatory tendencies and become enablers of these activities ourselves by default, which not only endangers our community but also mars the integrity of the gaming experience of consumer enjoying the content provided by GTA:W. By prohibiting the roleplaying of minor characters, we can help ensure that our server remains a safe space for all players, and promote a more mature community where discussions are talked about for improvement rather than nurturing ad-hominem and toxicity. Example: a minor character being piloted by an adult in itself feels wrong, given that the content that is offered and is available in the server is geared towards adults, this stirs imagination toward a concept that is both highly unethical, deviant and immoral. If further encouraged, this can slip into the other aspects of the server, overall creating a toxic and degenerated gaming atmosphere for everyone. with adult characters being polited by a minor IRL, then we have ERP in question. 2. Protecting the Essence of the Game/Server: GTA, at its core, is a game built around mature themes and adult experiences. Roleplaying as a minor can distort this essence, as such characters might partake in situations that are highly unlikely, unrealistic, or inappropriate for their age group. This not only compromises the realism and consistency of the game but also affects the immersive experience we all seek. 3. Avoiding Loopholes and Ambiguity in the Roleplay Ecosystem: Allowing minor characters inadvertently creates several ambiguities and loopholes. Actions that are illegal or ethically questionable for minor characters are often permissible, or even the norm, for adults in the game. By disallowing minor characters, we can ensure a consistent and logical in-game experience for all players, devoid of moral dilemmas or confusing rules. Example: In essence, teenagers are pretty much powerless in the real world, with very little avenue for success, like being technological, and/or academic genuises. We don't have these elements (schools, universities, etc) as active roleplay avenues for (M) characters to enjoy/actively participate in. so having (M)RPers in the server not only normalizes metagaming, but it blurs the line of common sense IRL which the RP server wishes to emulate through rich RP encounters. 4. Ensuring Age-Appropriate Content: GTA:W, mirroring the original series, is well-known for its mature content. It's critical to consider the implications of minor characters engaging in such activities. Not only does this scenario fail to align with the spirit of the game, but it could also make for an uncomfortable experience for some players, especially adults. Example: escorts, ERPers or any sort of sexual content are currently soft-permissible if not reported/moderated, this naturally breeds scenarios where-in characters of either sex could engage in these sexual activities with (M) characters. 5. Preventing Misuse and Inappropriate Scenarios: The presence of minor characters can potentially be misused to construct scenarios that are unrealistic, inappropriate, or damaging to the game's overall atmosphere. By eliminating the option to roleplay as minors, we could prevent such misuse and maintain the quality and authenticity of our shared gaming experience. Example: a M Char cat-calling a grown woman/man, a M Char driving an expensive car on his/her own, a M Char calling the shots in a gang and engaging in aggressive RP scenarios with adults, a M Char generally acting like an adult. doing adult things. the (M) symbol then becomes a badge of protection from consequences which is a loophole already too common in real life. 6. Preserving Resource Allocation: Our moderation team puts significant effort into ensuring that roleplay scenarios adhere to the server's rules and ethos. and in addition of minor characters, leads to more incidents requiring moderation due to the reasons outlined above. This redirection of resources could be avoided, leaving our moderators more time to improve other aspects of our gameplay experience. 7. Fostering a Community Consensus: Given that the presence of minor characters can stir controversy and division within the community, eliminating them might foster a more unified player base. This decision could result in a more harmonious community that shares common standards for gameplay and roleplay. While there are pros for having (M) characters in the server, I and a few others feel that it is far outweighed by the cons, and only exists to degrade the quality of the overall experience in GTA:W. and with that In conclusion, while we cherish diversity and creativity in our character creations and the roleplay scenarios we wish to be a part of, I firmly believe that excluding minor characters could greatly improve our gaming experience by promoting safety (in terms of ethics and morality), realism, and the overall integrity of the game. I am eager to hear your thoughts, feedback, and counter-arguments on this subject. BUT PLEASE let us keep it civil and intelligent, no spiteful/reactive remarks that only mean to degrade and stereotype/mock will be entertained, and I ask the same from the supporters of this suggestion. Thanks for looking!
  6. Came from SA:MP back in the golden days, then switched to GTAW since 2017 and came on and off from time to time. 🙂

    Vehicle overhaul.

Just a tip, if we are to implement speed limits, can we also add a feature to set a vehicles speed at a steady pace? it's such a labor to have to tap things constantly and it doesnt look natural + RP fiendly. just my 2 cents
