Ah my mistake then, as, it looks like the suspects had the ability to escape and decided instead to lead police into a choke point and shoot them rather than run.

It's not just that he killed cops, is it? Was it not a planned ambush? That's what it looked like in the video. Cops shoot in situations like that because they have to, they didn't shoot first. Crims shoot because they feel like it.

What we all have to think about in regards to realism is that yes, vehicles being used in robberies happens in real life. That being said, the ratio of criminals to everyday people in the server is SUPER inflated in comparison to real life. The frequency of robberies are also much higher. We have a realistic crime rate of 495 violent crimes per 100,000 people per year in California by estimates in 2022, that number is largely inflated here. The argument for why? This is a game, which is the same argument that's used to restrict the amount of robberies that is affecting other people's RP. Is the rule dumb? Yep. Is it probably needed for RP quality? Also yep! I think the restricted crime areas were a step in the right direction to allow the overall rules to relax a bit, but, it's hard to find a happy middle ground in the age old debate of crims rp v civi rp. The two depend on each other and one can't suffocate the other.

I've been robbed but only a few times and i've been playing for a few years. Though I do see the issue with letting people have free range to rob and do whatever they want as at the end of the day it's a game and people will treat it that way at the detriment of other's roleplay I also believe that to avoid getting robbed there's some pretty common sense things you can do like don't be walking in high violence neighborhoods alone at night as I often see people walking around by themselves as though there isn't a massive crime issue in the area. I also understand however that in comparison to real life there's a much higher criminal/average joe ratio which makes it hard for strictly legal rpers to go do normal activities without the fear of being robbed. I know we have no crime / restricted crime zones now but that don't does so much. I don't think there's a simple way to solve the problem, as I know before all these rules a lot of people were getting robbed several times a day. I don't know what they were doing to manage that, but, clearly it was happening. As someone who has a criminal alt but a legal main now (where as it used to be the opposite) I can see the frustration from the criminal community as often times by the time you park up a few blocks away and get to where you seen the person they're gone. Or, depending on where you're at, there is no way to avoid them seeing you walking up from a block away and they just speed off. I don't disagree with the current rules if it helps promote RP across the board as robbery RP isn't the only things for crims to do so they aren't horribly restricted. There are still valid options for you to make money via stealing. Hitting cars, chopping them, breaking into houses. I don't think this rule is the end of the world, even if it kinda sucks a bit.

At one point there was an alternative. You could go to Blaine Aviation or SAAA if i'm not mistaken. However, now the two factions decided to combine into one so it'll be up to someone else to create a school if there really is the demand for that sort of RP there. As for the suggestions on the post? +1.

Would be a neat addition. Or even have PM put in a property that is open to the public that we can use. +1.
