  1. because there are now ultimate consequences for reckless character development and committing 8239586 crimes every hour. i don't like radical actions but i don't mind them when they're necessary. without these rules, we're bound to have a more chaotic environment. there's no need for experimentation, for a live example is already there for all to see: <the server which shall not be named>
  2. I think it's good. Given the fact that it's a game indeed, and depending on how fast points are accumulated, 30 might prove to be low. But it'll prevent people from showing up in jail more often than they do outside. It doesn't diminish crime, it diminishes badly portrayed criminals. There is now drawback to blindly committing crime. With the right balance, this is definitely an improvement for the long run. I'm also not a fan of forcing players to abandon their characters, but I'm all for getting rid of low realism standards.
  3. I thought of making it so that you can track the online status of the people in your latest texts/phonebook with something similar to the "last seen at ..." or "last online: dd/mm" thing that WhatsApp has. And if they're online, it could display a green circle or simply say "online". Players could have the option of toggling this aswell, just like it is on WhatsApp. Phone goes offline when it's turned off or player logs out, displaying the "last seen at" message instead. Allows for easier tracking of who among your friends are ingame etc i mean i don't think it would contribute towards metagaming or powergaming or whatsoever, it does nothing more than what /id lets you do and it also tells you when someone was last online. pretty good yis? edit: allow me to demonstrate my extreme paint talents
  4. it's extremely difficult to set up a smooth system where money isn't spawned into the server but instead the budgets of each governmental body are collected through taxes. this was the initial plan when the server launched in october but it was partly scrapped to the best of my knowledge i think it does more harm than good anyway. there are just too many flaws that cannot be addressed by any means when it comes to establishing this kind of thing. too many inconsistencies between what the server/game is supposed to be and what it is like in real life. luckily, the tax system of this server prevents infinite money by default so it's not really too big of a deal to spawn money for paychecks
  5. that's not my argument at all buddy, I'm talking about server logistics here, of course there should be the county...
  6. this, is the biggest reason for someone to separate themselves from the rest of the players. because when you're outside and with players whose behavior you have no idea about, you're exposed to every kind of bad shit other players caused me to roleplay exclusively indoors during my last 2 years in LSRP. but of course i'm not sure how it is on gtaw at the moment, this is just a piece of experience i wanted to share
  7. despite not playing anymore, I like to read the forums and analyze stuff in my own way every now and then i'm sure the management decided to expand there with nothing but good intentions, especially meeting the needs of those who enjoy roleplaying outside of the city. i've always had a thicker line between acceptable and unacceptable though (my body is ready for hate comments and rape/death threats @countyboys) i think expanding anywhere outside LS is a bad idea until the server has a stable playerbase of 200. sure I may be wrong, but who wants to log in for the first time and find themselves in a ghost town? i read that the server peaks at around 100-120 players. even if %10-20 of them are outside of LS, another %10-20 indoors; it will feel terribly dead for those that don't fit the criteria above so, to sum up, paleto bay (i mean come on it's the furthest place possible from LS unless you're flying out into the space) was a bad move in my opinion. more of the city could be put to good use instead so that it would actually feel like half a city! no offense to anybody, of course! i have extreme respect, compassion and loyalty for nervous and the amazing, selfless service he offers to all of you
  8. but what better time to play
  9. you're a nice person for being a part of the staff team & selflessly investing your time solely in the name of doing good for the community

    Lose of a pet

my condolences buddy, such is the cycle of life, unfortunately- some species have shorter time than we do. there is however one exceptional way to overcome your sadness: get a new pet as crazy as this sounds, it will heal you beyond imagination. please consider adopting a new pet (not for the faint hearted)
  11. the government must be in charge of the other governmental organizations. otherwise it'll end up being the government of LSRP; viewed as a joke faction for people who got rejected from every other & not taken serious by several people if not every single person out there. it should oversee all the other governmental bodies, handle licensing, perhaps a some blue collars to show their presence around the city, but that's about it. anything else will be beyond boring I assure you that I'm writing this from first hand experience. and tell you all what: the mayor is doing a bad job? then he is doing a bad job in character, no need to make such a big deal about it.
  12. i don't play gta at all anymore but I enjoy reading the forums from time to time so hey fellas the way I see this whole thing is: it should never be the duty of administration to educate/lecture players about roleplay. like you put it, it is a "heavy" roleplay server- those that decide to become a part of this community should step up their games instead of wasting the resources of staff sure, it's always good to treat a rulebreaker/an inferior roleplayer with compassion and show them the better way - but turning this into an official process? it's barely different from spoonfeeding my hate shield is activated

    Black Theme

you can already do this, paintbrush icon top right
  14. this guy is smart listen to this guy
  15. i think it enhances immersion, instead of breaking it you're still going to read the text, and hear a sound too. if we take "omg server text based wtf" as an excuse for every single thing out there, we can't really get anywhere. i would like to see this ingame
  16. due to the nature of this being a game, removing the nametags does more harm than good. i would much rather force everyone to 1st person tbh
  17. why not make it permanent for donators aswell? it's really weird the other way around. it'll feel like a scam if anything
  18. a man of few friggin' words!!!
  19. i think it should be increased for both normal players and donators. 10 really isn't enough for several people
  20. sure, roleplay is more important than money. but put yourselves in the shoes of a business owner now. those guys aren't really making a fortune from your entrance fees. it is actually barely enough to keep a place running. do you blame him for wanting to provide roleplay without going bankrupt? therefore i disagree
  21. ps: nearly anything can be abused in some way, really. that is why the staff team exists & this ideology (excluding extreme instances) should not block the way of additions to the server, in my opinion
  22. and if we don't roleplay, we won't need to report anyone!!!! the command should be in the game, perhaps the player in question is unable to get out of a vehicle & /eject can be handy that way. however, it should request a confirmation from the player on the receiving end, fair enough?
  23. on one hand you'll have people: -engaging in shootouts with regard for their lives -engaging in shootouts with severe consequences -that aren't getting punished for fighting cops, realistic or not since it's their own decision and huge risk on the other hand: -none of the above, with the addition of gosknowshowmany admin punishments to control players and their actions it's time for a change guys. the only reason this isn't realistic is because you cannot buy a namechange irl after dying!!! (i kid, i kid)
