  1. supported with the stipulation that they not be added until February of 2023
  2. a limit on people shooting cops during a traffic stop?
  3. There really should be a hard cap on the number of units that can respond to a single incident, depending on the severity of the situation. Something about seeing 15 cruisers come barreling down the road smashing into everything, nearly killing players, and destroying everybody's ears is really off-putting.
  4. Full support, with the caveat that the cost of some things probably need to be adjusted manually to appear more realistic once the amount of money we have is realistic.

  6. Yeah, this is annoying. Sometimes I write long emotes or sentences if I'm in a serious, one-on-one scene, and when I run up against the 250 character limit in the chat box and have to continue my dialogue/emote into a second entry, having the first entry automatically given a full stop and the next entry automatically capitalized is extremely annoying.
  7. highly support this suggestion tired of gettin my tits out if i wanna wear certain shirts
  8. I'm seeing way more issues with textures loading since the change, and I have a hard time buying the suggestion that it's somehow on my end. I'm not dropping frames, I'm not seeing an increase in CPU/GPU/RAM activity. Nothing. The game just decides I have no ground for three blocks. What I have noticed, however, is that the reintroduction of non-vanilla SD/PD cars has made the area surrounding MRPD completely unbearable again. So... I dunno. Maybe PD can live without their 400,000 poly mod cars? Just a thought.
  9. I support this. I don't think anyone using the editor to make faction/character screenshots is going to have trouble working around the weirdness with mods.
  10. I like this idea a lot. The daily list has never made a ton of sense to me, particularly given how many cars have variants that are extremely difficult to tell apart. Besides that, the list refreshes after every server restart, so your list can become obsolete in the middle of the day and you won't know until somebody brings you a car that you can't chop. I think that removing the restrictions but adding something like a daily bonus list would work. I don't think this is a good idea. The sort of work it would take to move your parts under this system would likely be even more tedious and cumbersome than the current system. You'd be competing with every trucking company on the server, and convincing completely legitimate business owners to buy your mysterious secondhand components—especially given how few garages are active these days—would be way more of a headache than it's worth. Sort of a tangent on my part, but I wrote a whole thread about how frustrating anti-theft is. Right now, uncovering a chop shop should be trivially easy for LEO—all you need is one lucky call from somebody whose car has been stolen and magically tracked directly to a chop shop, because there's literally no counter to anti-theft. So, I have two suggestions to add: 1. There should be a means of defeating anti-theft that carjackers/choppers have access to. My immediate thought is some sort of device that you can purchase at pawn shops and/or from electronics suppliers. The price of the item would have to be very carefully balanced to make buying it worthwhile. 2. Increase the # of parts cars provide choppers with. Not every car's output needs to be increased, but somebody needs to go back through the list with realism in mind and adjust the values. It takes three car parts to make one metal part. How does that shake out, you ask? Well, take the MTL Pounder, which has a curb weight of something like 25,000 pounds, off the top of my head. For 25,000 pounds of truck, you can make: four lockpicks OR three door locks OR two knuckle dusters OR one knife. No, really—you can't even make two switchblades out of a 25,000 pound truck. Does that seem bonkers to anyone else?
  11. Having worked with PD/SD as a journalist on a previous character, I have to agree. Even when public relations was easier to reach, requests for comment often took over a week to receive a response, and rarely contained useful information. I don't want to cast aspersions, but it seems like law enforcement isn't being particularly communicative with the press, and hasn't been for a long time—and, in my opinion, that's a detriment to everyone involved.
  12. Okay. If that's what you guys think is fair. But it's not a system that I think is viable or worth the risk at this point, and that really bums me out, because it's generated a ton of roleplay for me and a lot of people around me.
  13. I really should learn to listen to myself when I say things, but, I already use the tactic you described, and it does not address the concern that I outlined at the start of the thread. Likewise, in my opening post I suggested that a method of destroying anti-theft (I don't know what that would look like, and I'm open to something that would be balanced and engaging, instead of just being a throwaway command) would also suffice. So that, on top of the ways in which you seem to assume that I neither know what I am doing or roleplay the process properly, is why I don't want to bicker with you about this. You're making bad faith assumptions about me, and I definitely have not done the same to you, so—like I said before, I'm gonna leave it here with you. We are absolutely not going to see eye to eye on this. That's fine.
  14. No, you're just... definitely being so aggro as to verge on discourteousness, and I'm not up for arguing about this with somebody who is like very clearly not going to see my side of it no matter what I say. But yeah, like, it's a public forum. By all means.
