  1. Me being a Psychologist IRL, I've already offered to start slowly but steadily to work on a mental health service to offer for starters to both FD and PD, as mental health issues are a very present theme in the RP for many of our characters there, but here are other options: Accountant - Particularly relevant with the new tax changes, if people are quite into spreadsheet RP. Mechanic - We crash our ambulances more than we'd like to admit. Whoopsie! Lawyer - Someone to keep on retainer, not necessarily within the Department in a permanent position. Maintenance work/Janitor - I love people doing simple, colorful RP like this, gives a lot of life to have someone like that around. Locksmith - Because we don't always have to kick doors down I guess. Fire Alarm technical support/installation - For when the Fire Alarm system eventually comes. These are some I can think of off the top of my head!

  2. An issue that a lot of players have been having lately is that their anti virus software is flagging a RAGEMP file as a potential threat. This is a false positive that happens because the files in question act like a virus. The files are injected into the game which allows you to play on RAGEMP servers and load custom scripts that developers create! You will need to follow a few steps to add the RAGEMP directory to your antivirus' exclusions so that the files aren't flagged anymore. This might even give you a small boost in performance! Steps for Windows Defender (Windows 10) : Move your mouse down to your taskbar and right click on the shield icon (reference) If you can't see a shield icon, you need to click on the little arrow next to your icons which will expand the view Click on "View security dashboard" (reference) Click on "Virus & threat protection" (reference) Click on "Virus & threat protection settings" (reference) Scroll all the way down (reference) Click on "Add or remove exclusions" under the "Exclusions" category (reference) Click on "Add and exclusion" (reference) Select "Folder" in the dropdown menu Select your RAGEMP directory and click on "Select Folder" in the bottom right Click on "Yes" when the "User Account Control" prompt comes up You're good to go! It is recommended to either reinstall RAGEMP or run the updater.exe file found in your RAGEMP directory to recover the lost files. The steps shouldn't vary too much depending on your anti virus software which allows you to add an exclusion easily and continue playing. If this didn't fix your issue or you're having other issues with RAGEMP, I recommend checking out the following thread found on their forums: https://rage.mp/forums/topic/1816-client-troubleshooting-tips-fixes/

  3. Update 1.3.1 Additions The black friday reward has now changed, be the first to win it to discover what it is! The chance to receive one was multiplied by x3 for all players every hours you play! Different types of fires will now randomly start on the map based on the city life There will never be more than one fire for every third fireman on duty. New firetypes: Burned out cars that spawns ontop and around of the static car objects found around San Andreas (Not player owned vehicles). Outside fires that spawns ontop and around of static objects such as a booth, market stall, mailboxes and more. Garbage fires that spawns ontop and around of static objects such as bins, dumbsters and more. Electrical fires that spawns ontop and around of static objects such as electrical installations, lightpoles, phonebooths and more. Four new firesizes to add variation (Controls the amount of actual fires being created) The tattoo customization is back! You can now go to your favorite tattoo parlor and get some amazing tattoos Fixes No player is required to gather information about the game used to start a fire anymore Wildfires can't spawn randomly inside Los Santos anymore Fixed "/clearchat" only clearing 13 chat lines out of the increased 15 Fixed "/badge" still showing the badge if the target is too far away Properties inventories and cashbox are now wiped when a new player purchases it Tweaks Fire types will each use a different radius to determin the random spread for variation The fire department wont be notified of a newly started fire immediately The 911 call for newly started fires now match the standard 911 format The 911 call message for the fire department will fit the firetype Gas powered fires are disabled as they don't spread properly nor provide a sufficient experience Your primary radio slot will now be shown when you use "/radiohelp"

  4. Short description: Similar to the current /attribute system, I believe that a small addition to the server could add quite a bit to people's day-to-day roleplay. Adding vehicle/property descriptions so that players can describe the interior of their car/house adds another level of richness to Roleplay that I believe people would enjoy. Detailed description: To expand on the above point- I believe that adding these commands gives players another way to define their character with small details, and also gives people valuable information when interacting with said vehicles/interiors. For example; Someone is in someone's house. Currently, the object streamer is very unreliable, so say someone stores a rifle in their house - They then use /pdesc to describe that the gun is hidden under their mattress. It can also be used for much simpler but character-defining things, such as little details along the lines of "The house would smell of roses."/"There would be mud tracked across the floor." This not only adds a small level of depth for players interacting in interiors, but it also opens up the server to another few possibilities. Currently, there is no way to leave descriptions behind when not there ingame, as the relevant commands are broken, and as a result players have to rely on things such as PMs to describe situations. This feature would allow people to describe.. say for example, a home invasion over /pdesc. If the player was killed/kidnapped, they can update their property description to reflect the incidents that occurred there for investigating police to use. /vdesc Can be used in the exact same way. For example: "There would be a crumpled up pack of cigarettes stuffed haphazardly into the glovebox." It also allows people who aren't with the vehicle's owner to see details about the car. Where the inventory of it is stored, etc.. Commands to add: /vdesc, /pdesc, /pinspect, /vinspect Items to add: N/A How would your suggestion improve the server?: I feel that adding the commands /pdesc,/vdesc and the associated inspecting commands would add roleplay to the all three types of roleplayers. (Legal, Illegal and Civilians.) For example. It gives all players a little bit more depth to work with and helps ease players from having to quickly describe the details of their car every time a player needs it. Similar to /attributes. 7. Bella Rosa Violante Name: Bella Rosa Violante Nationality: Italian-American Date of Birth: 16/MAY/1991 - 27 Y/O Gender: Female Race: Caucasian Height: 5' 6' | 167cm Hair color: Naturally dark brown Eye color: Dark blue Languages: English, Italian and Latin Occupation: Sergeant in the Los Santos Police Department Relationship status: Single Sexual orientation: Heterosexual Personality Bella is one thing throughout her whole personality and that is a mirror, if you're hostile to her she is going to be hostile back with the exceptions for her amusement. While she can come across cold in her actions it's never her intention to but she doesn't consider for a second to waste her time on someone who wouldn't listen either way. As for those who she holds dear, she puts them above all else, those who she trusts she will open up and show her vulnerable side, being someone that they genuinely enjoy to be around. Likes: Dogs Socializing Clubbing Martial arts People who can take jokes and have a sense of humor Adrenaline and taking risks Exercise and sports Loyalty Gum Dislikes: Liars Two-faced people Racism and bigots Ignorant people Bad coffee People with bad fashion Push-overs Background Bella Rosa Violante, born to Isabella Rosa and Kane Violante in the early months of 1991, was considered a blessing to her family, her eyes from the moment she was born beamed blue with promise. Her parents, both living in Milan, Italy at the time, were American-Italian citizens as they were each other's high-school sweethearts, married as soon as they came out of college, chasing their dreams together before Isabella fell pregnant with baby Bella. The sweet love-story of her parents didn't last, they began to argue and often fought in the early years of Bella's life which in the end caused their divorce, her father, Kane, returned to America and took Bella with him as he raised her with the support with various nannies, his attention mainly focused on his medical career. Desperate for the recognition of her father, she'd study endlessly in order to be top of her class from a young age but even after all her efforts her father paid little attention to her activities, caring more about progressing himself, becoming engrossed in his work with no care for family connections. As for her school life, she had no trouble making friends, if anything she found it easy, trusting them was the hard part. Eventually, Bella became numb to her father's ignorance as she simply lived each day as it came by with no end goal in mind, studying medicine and psychology but not being able to feel herself getting attached. It was only when she was out at night with some of her friends in Miami and their drinks had been drugged did she wake up from her fantasy and reality settled in, rarely does she speak about what happened that night. That is when she came across martial arts, she began to learn how to defend herself and what kind of self defense techniques she could use to her advantage when typically she might've been at a loss. She found herself signing up for the New York Police Department, passing through her academy with flying colours, soon graduating and working harder then she ever had before. As stress took a toll on her, she picked up nasty habits, smoking was her main one which didn't help her relationship with her father at all, he attempted to stop her addiction but as time went on he decided Bella wasn't worth his troubles. Kane discarded her as his daughter, shouted obscenities, degraded her with each word. Everything became too much for her, she wanted to escape it all which was why she planned for a transfer to the Los Santos Police Department. The move was anything but easy, learning the city along with the people and colleagues was another thing entirely, either way she decided that this time she is just going to be herself, no matter the cost. Turns out being a hot-headed Italian female costs a lot. Si dice sempre il lupo più grande che non è - Lying a little might make the story better.

  9. Hi! So for a little introduction, I play Christopher Foreman and Ryan Lionheart and I run the Los Santos Fire Department alongside with @Björk. Recently it has come to our attention that we have a fair few ranks free within the LSFD faction and we thought we could provide more RP for the server and opportunities for unique roleplay within the faction, however in a non-firefighting capacity. You could call it a "Civilian Employee" role or something along the lines. For example we were thinking of having an LSFD Chaplain / Psychologist which would be essentially a mental healthcare specialist for both PD and FD, or just generally a psychologist. Another example we thought of could be an LSFD specialist mechanic. We wish to know what you, the community, would like to see available in order to provide for more RP between the faction and of course, you guys and girls. So, what kind of civilian employee roles would you like to see? And how would it benefit the server and the FD?

  11. Hey everyone from GTAW, I am Rosalie as you may have already noticed (not my real name though), and have been playing as Larisa Yermolayeva (also not my real name). I joined this community in July and have tried to roleplay on regular basis because it has been so much fun! Now, I'm not here to write a book about myself but I'm here to thank everyone who got involved in my roleplay experience. Roleplaying meant a lot to me these last months, I had no idea it would but it did and I pretty much liked it actually. Before playing on here, my days existed on reading books, watching tv, helping my mother around and sleeping, a lot. Anyway.. This game of roleplay became a replacement for my real life emotions I'm missing out and a great distraction of the pain I am going through. And that is why, again, I thank everyone making this happen! This brings us to my final part, some of you may already know, that after years of medical treatments fighting cancer I've had to accept my defeat. My body became at it's weakest and therefor I will not be able to continue playing this game. This isn't a goodbye though, just a thank you note. I'll be still on discord for the ones who like to have a chat. So again.. thank you everyone and a job well done for the creators of this community.

  12. Locking this. The normal response time is less than an hour. At most it should only take 24 hours, please take into consideration that today is a holiday for most people and that they are most likely spending time with family. If your application does go unanswered after 24 hours feel free to ask any support member or admin. If it makes you feel better you can message me on Discord.

  13. I genuinely believe you're all making a big fuss over nothing. This is a video game and people play it for fun. Sometimes, for some, killing other characters and getting their own characters killed is part of that 'fun' that takes place quite often as a result of the specific roleplay style chosen for those characters. It doesn't mean that every death in-game should be considered a CK for the deceased character. If that was a thing, characters would be changed every couple of days without having a decent chance to have them developed properly or worse; players would simply lose interest in creating new characters and eventually leave the server. Let's say Frank has a beef with John. Frank eventually decides to track down John and murder him for whatever justified reason he may have - and so he does. The next day, surprisingly enough, Frank and John encounter one other on the street, only this time they have no memory of each other and whatever issues they have had before do no longer exist. Now for the player who operates Frank's character: Why do you care? Does it bother you that much seeing a character you have previously murdered? Why is that even an issue? If you decide to go with "it's not realistic" explanation then keep in mind that this is a game and we're all here because we enjoy playing it. We try to keep it as realistic as possible while making sure players continue to enjoy their stay on the server; even if that means letting their characters have more than one lifespan. As for those who constantly use death as a means to get away from legal punishment (aka suiciding in a police pursuit / shootout): it is up to the administrators of the server to deal with such behavior, as it clearly falls under the Common Courtesy rule. Such players can be easily reported and they will most likely be dealt with (see https://forum.gta.world/en/index.php?/topic/7107-roleplay-quality-report-information/ for reference). I'm pretty sure PD members wouldn't like getting CKed either after getting gunned down by a player portraying a criminal, so let's keep things balanced.

  14. Don't mind forwarding it again although since we did lose a lot of feedback: 1. I'd like more opinions 2. I'll have to review it with a few staff members and tweak it if necessary Still, I'm not against a business line and the odds of me not forwarding the suggestion are very low.

  15. Gravedwellers, Rancho 13, Grove street Crips and the West Coast Mob are four factions I can name off the top of my head, unless these factions had a total of 5 players each, I doubt it was only that maximum, players have just cycled in and out and it's appeared like there's less. Potentially some have come back under different affiliations too, but still the lack of content and roleplay ability for illegal factions is what's causing them to become stagnant and close down, which in turn drags down the roleplay of legal factions, e.g PD/FD, giving them less to do and become bored, which is a problem a lot of us are facing currently. As a member of PD I can say that I've seen it myself - Members just playing other games to bide time simply because there's not a lot to do on the server.

  16. I'm preparing a proposal to make a Mental Health resource that is aimed at First Responders and is attractive to them to use, since in First Responder culture it's not easy for them to use these resources for a variety of reasons. One of the big ones I'm working now is how to manage the records of PD and FD members that seek help with the service so they can be assured that their employment isn't at risk on account of what they say or discuss. It's interesting so far! But yeah, onto the topic, give us more jobs you'd like to see! People with food trucks, come visit us to sell us lunch!

  18. We discussed this today, and it'd be really nice to have some civilian roles in the faction, such as a FD mechanic for those times Mirror Park rats ram our ambulances like a bull that sees red, or someone who can be my assistant for those times I need coffee, smh. +1
