Imbalance between reports and Admins

A huge majority of reports only go up because people lost something valuable (guns). Guns are scarce so people will do anything to keep them, IE report and a reason people get so upset when they get killed. Reporting = situation voided if you can confuse the admin enough = refund. 95% of the time someone kills you on a traffic stop is because they do not want to lose their gun, which depending on the agency pulling you over has a high chance of happening. It's an unfortunate mentality that has caused this because people do fear losing their gun because while it is just a firearm, not having does prevent roleplay in some capacity. Low level criminals can't rob, threaten, intimidate or sell "hot" guns. Guns create roleplay other than just shooting. More guns = less reports because people won't go through so many measures to get them back. And at the end of the day, if they DO shoot at us more... Who cares? We're playing a game called GTA. We as LEOs lose nothing at all if we die on duty (other than our own items we should just store away) It's annoying yes, but it's way more inconvient for the criminal player

That's a very good point and why I believe guns should be stupidly easy to obtain while enforcing some very strict rules on their uses. If everyone can get a gun like they can in real life, legally or not, we'll get rid of non-rp fear, we'll get rid of looting, we'll get rid of most random robberies, useless shootouts, powergaming, metagaming. Most issues on the server are related to guns in one way or another. If the admin team takes half of the time spent on these reports and spends it enforcing some strict rules, everyone will be much better off.

You can't be serious bro, script money =/= actual money, some people actually like to rp their assets realistically, suprise suprise, gang members are usually very poor.

We don't get paychecks like cops, nor do we own businesses like mobsters. There is very few ways to make actual script money as a criminal without going through massive applications to do schemes, which also hardly amount to anything. Almost every illegal roleplayer makes their money from having some sort of access to a direct supplier to sell guns / drugs or own a legal business.

This comment is outrageous and just shows how little you know about the illegal roleplay scene, and apparently roleplay in general, yet still decide to bash it on every thread.

Again, you contradict yourself. If script money =\= IC money then you aren t paying 10,000$ for a gun because an IRL gun costs far, far less.

What are you even saying? That you don t have enough money script eise? With 200+ thousand starting money you have more than enough.

If you mean IC then surely you d rather not die for a fucking Glock

Really as simple as this, many people do a lot of foolish things to save their guns, increase the number of guns in circulation and enforce stricter punishments for things such as DM. Not only OOC punishments such as bans, but IC punishments as well.

If someone shoots during a traffic stop and dies, make it a CK. Have cops patrol high shooting areas (WITH BACKUP, not alone),

this is what happens to people with legal money who make an illegal character and think they can buy everyone/everything..

Alright, since this thread has turned into a legal vs illegal player bashing spot I’ll be locking the thread for a few days. It’s genuinely sad that some of you guys cannot stay on topic and properly display your concern without bashing one another.

If you don’t want to stay on topic once the thread has been unlocked again, don’t bother commenting.

Suggestion: Merge the LC staff team with the LS staff team, this will ensure we have more staff members along with the fact that staff can switch between the two servers. I think it would make a lot more sense just to have one GTA W staff team, not splitting it between servers seeing as a lot of stuff between the servers are merging and a lot of LC admins play LS.

That was actually duped / exploited money and he was banned. I don't think the average player goes around with 800K trying to buy guns from random people haha
