  1. No. It'll lead to more DM and reports. Because some gangs, solos and OCGs will be starved of guns, so it'd encourage them to rob more PF holders. This can lead to a lot more DM, since robbing someone with a gun can go wrong easily. Overall it just increases conflict across the board and a lot of the time it ends up on the forums. it's usually either a fear RP or mugging rule broken by either party.
  2. Deathmatching will happen regardless. The musket? That's an antique relic. Ofc people(the rich) are going to bid high. It's not comparable to a modern day Glock that you can buy from your local gun store.
  3. Why do you even want them more expensive? It's not realistic and making them more expensive upon spawn just encourages more scarcity + gatekeeping. Scarcity of guns is bad, it leads to increased OOC dealing, hoarding mentality and overall bad gun dealer RP across the board. All I'm saying is a pistol shouldn't be the same price as an apartment.
  4. Taxiing is not a dying job. At peak hours you can easily grab a few fares if you're fast. Also, the airport like others have said before is not always IC, especially for those who want to spawn in as "locals". There's better ways to promote the rp scene. Not getting enough fares? Take it IC and try to do something else in the meantime until it picks up EG: hang out at the depot with your co-workers, visit a local business while on shift or strike up conversations with other taxi drivers on the road etc. If people really want to "save" taxiing as a server job, they should focus more on contributing to the local taxi rp scene. Whether that be by starting your own taxi company, supporting an existing one or just simply providing a good quality rp experience to passengers as a lone driver. I can't see how creating OOC hurdles for players so you can force them to use taxis is going to lead to good rp. There are other ways to promote the RP of the scene than inconveniencing players OOC. -1
  5. On average it's better to be a male character when joining a crime faction, assuming you want to be a an active "made" member. But by no means does it mean you can't RP female, it's just a different experience and it varies a lot depending on the culture of the criminal faction you seek to join. For instance LCN, MCs, and Russian mobs(that being said there is one Russian faction on the server where females have a more active role) only really have males in "active" roles. On the other hand Hispanic gangs, Black gangs, more Americanized crime concepts, Mexican organized crime and Asian organized crime are more lenient on females being somewhat more actively involved. Regardless of whether you choose to RP male or female, you should always research the specific crime faction you're joining and how its culture functions irl. Then after you do your research, you craft your character accordingly. For most crime groups it helps to start off as a working class or impoverished young adult or adolescent. When it comes to recruitment street gangs prefer anyone 16 or below, OCGs are more lenient but still prefer around the 18-22 years old range. Make sure your character's ethnicity and culture corresponds with the faction they're trying to join. Obviously exceptions can happen rarely, but it's naturally easier to join a Korean-American organized crime group as a Korean-American than say a first generation Korean or a Japanese-American. Your goal on average should be to make money alongside your group to lift both yourself and your peers out of poverty. A lot of crime groups in real life are formed by impoverished people belonging to the same culture who have banded together for the purpose of survival. Of course greed can become a thing, internal disputes can occur and egos can go wild which is something to take into mind too when it comes to portraying a member of a crime group.
  6. All my character's Asian friends are dead 😞
  7. This thread will follow the development of Veronica "Roja" Sanchez, an impoverished Forum Drive local who becomes entangled with The Harvard Park Brims street gang.
  8. Already posted but I'll add my full list: Daniel Escobar, Erick Yu, Peter Sahakian, Ezequiel Medina, Kira VanZandt, Jaelyn Inglehart, Andrew Sherville, Malika Wilson, Victor Ramires, Dominic Civella, Darya Sakharova, Yuriy Kravchenko, Frank Buntz, Adrian Petrov, Adrian Montenegro, Jorge Torres, Liliana Valdez, Jesse Muro, Robert Warsaw, Gage Scarpino, Joseph Gazzaro, Sebastian Jones, Alejandra Ospina and Vivian Ibarra. RPing closely with all you nutjobs on a single character was definitely a very unique experience.
  9. This thread will follow the development of Alexey "Alex" Iskakov, a second generation Kazakh American criminal and carjacker.
