  2. Fixveh is a command meant to help players in case of bugs. If someone abuses it, it's not the command's problem, but the user's. Although, I must admit that some people just use it out of commodity. Tbh, it's actually fun calling a cab or walking to your car. Might even try using the subway system but maybe that's just me.
  3. Username: ABrandenburg ✅️ Comment: Thank you for pointing out this detail. I know this is a recurring issue in Los Santos. We are all fully aware of that and I can guarantee that we are actively trying all methods available to lower crime rates and violence. We are in constant dialogue with the authorities, trying to find a solution. We will never stop trying to fight it. Personally, I try to get as close to the root of the criminality as possible, trying to make a system where we can prevent crime rather than punishing it. Also, we now have the RICO Act in works which hopefully will bring a significant decrease in crimimality. For any other question, you can always contact my office and I will gladly answer.
  4. I think the idea of /vbreakwindow can have some potential, but needs to have some level of control over it. For exampe, /breakwindow could have a percentage chance of success. On newer cars, or high-end ones that usually have better windows, the chance for /vbreakwindow to succeed would be far lower (10% - 15%) than for old / cheap cars. if you do the command and fail, the alarm will still trigger and you won't be able to get into it. Also, in order to be able to use the /vbreakwindow command you could need to have a heavy or a hard object equipped, like a hammer, crowbar, etc. (Realistically, very few people can smash a car window with their fists). In addition to that, the limited number / day of uses that someone already proposed here is great. A system done like that could give the opportunity for RP and could also have a level of control over the action, so it won't get abused. TL:DR: /vbreakwindow but with a chance of success. Successful or not, alarm gets triggered. Can only be done with a bat/wrench/hammer/crowbar equipped. Limited number of uses / 24h.
  5. Username: ABrandenburg Comment: As always, I love your pictures and they honestly make me laugh (in a good way). As for the charities, I can clarify that for you. I've always done a lot of charity, some more quiet, some more public. Sadly, your remarks hit a point that I can't deny it hurts. What I can't do from my position as Senator - be it because of stupid bureaucracy or just because some people in the higher echelons don't really want change - I try to do on a personal level. If I can't fix an issue as a politician, I'll do it as a normal person. All in all, interesting article. Congratulations!

  7. After 190+ replies to this thread it's clear that illegal RP'ers clearly refuse to put themselves in the other's shoes. As I have said before, it's NOT an IC issue, because there's already OOC limitations to it. If ten characters from Vinewood arm themselves to the teeth and blast every dude who jumps a fence or fiddles with a lock, I can bet that they'll end up on the forums. If a robber steps into my yard and I protect my property and put some 12-gauge slugs into him, I get admin jailed for DM or whatever, when, in reality, if you get caught in someone's yard, you might as well get shot without question. As for security. There are what? 30 guards online at most (at peak hours) while you've got dozens of houses and streets in Vinewood Hills. Again, OOC limitations because there is NO PLAYERBASE FOR THAT. Apart from the playerbase, guards, like most of us, want to RP with other people. They don't want to patrol empty streets or RP with themselves. (Maybe streets wouldn't be so empty if people could actually be able to RP outside without getting robbed 5 times a week). What most of you fail to understand is that no one has a problem with being robbed if it's properly portrayed or fun. It's a ROLEPLAY server, not a cops and robbers or whatever. We're here to portray a character and have fun, not to stack up on guns or get pixel points for who has the most cash, robberies or whatever. The problem is the unreasonable and unrealistic amount of crime and the portrayal of those crimes. As I have said before: You wanna mug someone? Catch them while they go jogging or while they walk their dog or something. Don't go jumping fences into back yard and don't ingore CCTV.
