Anything driving related should be a IC issue. Not enough cops in real life to stop every reckless driver out there. I'm a route driver, and on the road about 6-8hours a day, and can confirm people drive like idiots all day long. ?

They should just remove ad's, and add in some kind of phone GUI where players can post /classifieds./

I've always had the idea that they should actually add scripted racing into the server. Like how paintball works. So it's actually a business but people can pay to to enter a scripted race. I already know that wont happen because it's probably considered (PvE) but it sure would be cool, and give me something to do besides driving around waiting for people to finish ERPing and come outside to interact with everyone else. lol

I've been told you can still drive your car out from the impound lot without paying the fee. Not sure if it's true or not.

Yeah the pricing doesn't really fit the /American/ Vibe. Not a fan of this system. Registration should be a flat fee like it is in real life, And heavier vehicles and vehicles with more than four axles should pay more. There is also no federal road taxes here. I pay 95$ a year to register my vehicle. Not to mention this system killed high end car sales. At least here in america people get huge rebates for driving electric vehicles, so 25k every week seems super ridiculous. In an attempt for realism i feel like the one thing we had to spend our money on to show off and be flashy has now been suppressed. for the sake of /realism/ which isn't really even realistic to the setting the server takes place on. I know a lot of people who simply dont pay the road tax. That should tell you something right there. Also why is insurance so cheap, I know people who pay 400$ a month in vehicle insurance in real life. Compared to the registration fee's here insurance is a way bigger expense. Did you guys even try or? It's like no one here know's what it's like to own a car in real life. /crying over IMO if you want realism just do it like it is in real life, add the taxes to the cost of the car. Have the registration be a flat fee. And insurance should cost more than it does right now, and road taxes should only apply to heavier vehicles and vehicles with more than 4 axles. If realism is your goal anyway. ALSO ALSO, I'm looking at like 338k a year in road taxes for my felon. lol ya thats not gonna happen.

Be careful about what you do IC'ly then. Actions have consequences. If you wanna go around robbing, and stealing from people then jail should be a real possibility for you.

At one point myself and another person put a ton of time and effort in a attempt to start something new that would have be been new for this server and probably something people would have enjoyed. Dont wanna get too much into it, But it was a Flight training school. From what I understand we did not even receive a reply from FM, and if we did it was just something along the lines of /We're not interested at this time./ Maybe take down some of the roadblocks that exist for people trying to start something new on the server. If it's realistic and makes sense let them try, and let them fail and or succeed. I'm not saying let anyone open a business but if there is effort put in, and they can provide a service or some form of non standard RP I dont see the issues with letting people at least try. In my case I was pretty discouraged as it was something I was actually passionate about and had probably spent 4-5 hours whipping up a bushiness plan and all that. but oh well. I only Imagine this has been the case for many others who tried something similar to myself.
