  1. I've been around the roleplay scene from an LEA/GOV leadership side of things for a while throughout various communities and this is always something that HAS to pop up, it's what we as humans do, compare ourselves to others. I hate when people compare X faction to Y faction, especially when X is different to Y in many ways in terms of their purpose, jurisdictional coverage etc. In my eyes, if you're joining the Park Rangers and decide you want to transfer to the LSPD in two months because it has more engaging roleplay opportunities and you like city roleplay more then you're wasting people's time, you should have known that in your initial assessment in identifying what you want. You don't join the Park Rangers expecting to get into active pursuits and shoot outs consistently, it serves a niche. Just alike that of the Sheriff's Department serving a different niche roleplay style to that of municipal city law enforcers in the LSPD. I hate seeing the LEA factions compare themselves to one another though, competition is good but it's so toxic, it was done throughout LSRP/RCRP/OWL and it didn't produce better results. At the same time it usually wasn't the leadership of said factions and was mainly the players or people that were outside of the loop of decision-making that'd make these assumptions of what was happening or what was wrong. It should clearly be defined to the people of these LEA factions that not one is better than the other, I feel for the SASP because I know people do look at them and think (it's easier to get into, it's less organized, it's not as good) it's sadly just a reality of how many indirectly think when they see things from the outside. For all they know though the SASP could be the most organized, well-orchestrated faction and everyone in it can be happy and content with their faction, their current role within the community and not wish for change. I don't think adding another law enforcement agency into the mix will remedy your concerns, lateral transfers are always hard to process as they're never 'LATERAL' in the virtual roleplaying world, the processes may be similar in real life and they are virtually parring minor operational changes, however, you can't always expect to be accommodated by factions, they don't have to offer you what you want, it's quite simple they don't trust you and why should they, you weren't apart of their organization previously and now you want to come in and be accommodated on a like for like basis. I think 'Acting' positions have never truthfully been optimized in any virtual policing faction on any community I've seen but I do think they should be utilized more to assess people's skillsets and value to factions but again this is down to the Command and Executive leadership teams of said factions to make such calls or come together with a uniformed approach.

    RC-RP Players?

I can't remember if you were around when I was or if you were only around after I got banned but I remember your characters name though as after you lead the other person only did for like 1 month and I decided to quit LSRP for the time being and went back to lead on RCRP. Ah damn, I remember that name!

    RC-RP Players?

Yeah man that was my favorite vehicles back then the good old water cannon! I remember the name actually it rings a bell! It's crazy most of the SA:MP community that was around then is still here now, a lot of people obviously that were a bit older back then have moved on since but it's still mad to think how time passes so quickly! I remember having to tell half these squeakers off and hear them cry in teamspeak and now they're all adults it's surreal. The microphone I used back then was loud as shit I remember people saying I sounded like I was shouting 24-7 haha! The training's back then were for sure very hands on that's for sure but they worked and I think it was just SA:MP acceptable standards back then to be completely savage. @Paul0715 commander, Paul Rosoco is it? Typical sounds like middle school stuff that's for sure and was so common place back then haha! You're lucky you didn't get invited to Aperture back then you'd perhaps have lost some brain cells. 🤣 Haha good old days! I wish I did mate I had the funniest of recordings of people crying, going full blown and some other daft stuff. Loved to be apart of them training's back then to make sure we were getting the best of the best. (Aka I didn't trust half the people to do the academies.) I remember you that's for certain, you were a lot younger back then and had a distinctive voice haha! Always did a good job though and never had any bad things to say about you in the PD back then. Hope you're doing ok bud these days, good to see old faces!

    RC-RP Players?

I don't recognize pretty much 95% of the peoples forum names on here but then again it has been over six years since I last played that community although it seems people have never stopped talking about me on there from what people tell me. I had a lot of fond memories on that community and a lot of weird and bad ones. That being said it has been over six years and I don't hold and grudges and my views and many in that communities back then were on different wavelengths which since have seemed to somewhat align considering I'm not seeing Apaches bombing towns on GTA:W. (I hope I haven't jinxed it!) 😂 I do remember my old boy RAKEDAWG @Procaine and @NickyW though! That being said 99% of the people that commented on me in that community had never sat down in a channel with me on a one to one basis and only knew me as this demonic hateful figure that people had made me out to be. I was however a dick at times like everyone but mostly it was warranted like when the server owner would blow up our PD ceremonies with C4 or change my password so his friend could go on my account and DM and shout 'Mother Russia' and racial slurs whilst I was sleeping. I really wish I never threw out my old PC as there was a lot of funny TS recordings and screenshots from that community. That being said I have 0 grudges from that community as we've all grown up in that time for people that were around back then. I mostly had enjoyable memories from that community over the years and met some amazing people playing there. Sadly this is all I have from the nostalgia bank of the LEA's on the server back then apart from terrible SS's of random crap.
  7. Some good RP over the last two days! Looking forward to many more RP opportunities with you all moving forward.
  8. Thanks for all the positive comments and feedback, more is coming as we develop and get our infrastructure fully operational. 👍
  9. Thanks trying to work on it! Still a lot of work to be done but we're finally starting to get IG and opening the faction up to the community whilst we work on fine tuning and adding the last few bits into the mix!
  10. Thanks a lot! We're trying to implement a bunch of new things and we're hoping this time to ensure it remains sustainable long term so that the community will always have a further generation of roleplay from the news faction. Thanks a lot big dawgg! That it is! Thanks a lot!
  11. Many thanks VP you as well! Thanks mate, can’t wait to see your technological advancements with Davis! Cheers Joe! 👍 Thanks Tommy, we hopefully won’t need luck but I’ll take it! 😊 Many thanks! Will be good once we get up and running!
  12. Thanks guys, still a lot of work to be done but once we're finished I truly think we'll have a very professional and proactive news faction in the community once and for all!
  13. In real life this is a very controversial subject matter, by adding additional law enforcement officers to an area you're insinuating that there is potential reasoning's for this, this in turn in the real world can lead to people choosing not to financially invest into the area. The LAPD/NYPD are known for doing such things with their alignment with their criminology views such as the broken windows theory founded by Wilson and Kelling. I'm a fond admirer of Bratton and his leadership and like the broken windows theory but when not executed correctly under careful and effective oversight this can lead to furthering of police corruption and can further damage the areas reputation further. For GTA:W I think such things could be done, it'd also be interested to see a more engaging Media Relations Unit/Public Affairs team on the ground hosting more engaging community meetings, events and outreach schemes. Maybe even supporting the development of neighborhood watch teams or a crime stoppers charity. The city could also get involved and work in coordination with law enforcement agencies and try to 'redevelop' the area IC'ly where possible. This community is an open book and I feel the possibilities are endless when it comes to roleplay it's just a matter of getting the idea out there and executed correctly. (I just noticed how ironic my comment on Bratton was when I seen I have him as my avatar! 😂)
  14. We've got something in the pipeline for this and are just working on the back end of the factions restructuring before reaching out to EMS factions to get something set in place that'll enable us to actively report on live news with greater ease. We've recently only just been assigned to lead LSNN and are working on a major revamp of the faction. We're looking to revolutionize the way the faction operates and ensure that it's model is sustainable so that we don't run into any inactivity issues moving forward. I've got lengthy experience when it comes to business management having been a Regional Manager for most of my adult life and having lead several large factions within other prominent RP communities I don't feel this revamp is one which will fail. Upon being appointed to lead LSNN we've done extensive route cause analysis to understand what has been going wrong and how these issues can be rectified. I can promise you from an operational standpoint that moving forward we will connect with individuals who wish to provide us with stories despite whether of not they're news worthy as we will want to develop a greater rapport with the people we wish to inform and connect with from a public affairs aspect. We can't change what happened under previous administrations but what we can make clear is that we're working on putting an end to the reoccurring issues, we're almost set up to be fully operational and are just awaiting the response on several decisions from FM and our own team before we can put the missing pieces into the puzzle and get the ball rolling. I've brought several competent individuals with me to support in the revamp of the faction but we're always open to having others support our efforts. Together we're working as a tight knitted team to ensure that moving forward LSNN will do the job it was brought into this community to do and I've already explained in an earlier response the ways in which we're going to make our publications more engaging. Moving forward as I've addressed LSNN is under new leadership and I can ensure you that if your faction is still operational or should you require our factions services we will open our arms to anyone wishing to come forward and provide us or this community with news and events worthy of publication/coverage. We're trying to turn our business model away from that of having to rely on advertising as a sole IC revenue source, to be quite honest looking at prior administrations financials they were consistently relying on the support of FM which didn't even remotely attract people to the faction. With our new business model that we've put forward this won't be an issue and irrespective of our financials we would never turn away coverage alike this which would engage the viewers we aim to target IC'ly. If you're interested in partaking in the revamp feel free to send me a message, we will be going live as I mentioned in the upcoming days and hopefully we will generate a lot of interest and with out infrastructure we'll be able to ensure that we're not just sustainable but effective in our methods of covering news and events. We're aiming to pursue various channels that we've not seen put forward in the community previously and so hopefully these additions will help create more roleplay and engage the community alike never before. We feel we've got the structure as I pointed out set in place, we've wanted to ensure that we don't just take the helm of the faction and run with the system that wasn't clearly working and so we're going to make sure that when we launch everything is set in place from an administrative perspective to ensure that the faction is pushed in the right direction. I don't expect that we'll have through the rough activity but I do believe we will be more present and our coverage more consistent and attractive and we will build from that and continue to keep building on the foundations we've set in place.
  15. Thank you, appreciate it! You're welcome to reinstate whenever as we could do with creative journalists and likeminded people! 🙂
  16. New leadership was only just assigned in December so we're trying to bring a sustainable infrastructure to the table will last long term rather than for a month or so. We feel we've put forward an infrastructure that will be sustainable long term and help incentivize and offer purpose to join LSNN as opposed to people just setting up their own 'fake news' outlets and blogs and would encourage people to do so to encourage people to do so as it supports the development of roleplay in the sever across the board and targets a wider auidence. Not to sure why you're taking a dig at us? Firstly we've only just took over the faction so as for the 'months' statement it's more like 1 week and six days to be exact and you weren't even in the faction when we took it over as a leadership figure and it was lacking a leadership figure hence the reason we came in to try and turn the faction around. So I don't feel the faction has to be dissolved as a lack of us publishing an article when we're working on the most in-depth news agency structure I've seen on a virtual roleplay server. There's no value to publishing things quickly if you don't have an infrastructure that's sustainable to direct the faction with, it'll just take the path it has on several other occasions. We've got a team on board and it's always going to be a hard faction to work with considering a great deal of other legal factions have financial wealth to bring in players or offer around the clock entertainment such as the PD/SD/FD etc. But we're implementing new ways to broadcast and publish news upon which you were informed of yesterday when you asked me why I wanted to the Captain on a sinking ship. I'm not sure what your goal is with your statements but we have never 'removed' you. I sent you a message asking if you and every other member of the faction wished to partake in the reform and at this point you weren't a leadership figure in the faction and you've still not been removed? I asked you on a PM if you wished to remain and you never responded and it was made clear to everyone in LSNN that if you wish to remain reach out and we can reinstate people. All I'm reading is defamation, as no one has ousted you and not one thing you've said in that statement is true when referencing a friendly bunch of guys that are trying to pull a faction together and help turn it around. We simply informed you that there was no mentioning that you were a 'Owner' and then you never responded further. Spot on ethical journalism isn't just as simple as going out and doing anything you can to obtain a headline and not only would this have legal implications for the Journalist themselves but as you pointed out it'd have various legal consequences for the network which would be costly and damage the networks public image. I'm all for investigative journalism and I'm going to be pushing it within the reform of the faction but we're also going to look at various other avenues for print publications that will push creative journalism within the community. Things that we're looking at are things like political columns, life style that'll cover things like the best restaurants in the community and as a result will generate interactive roleplay across the board for both the people involved in the faction and the people we interact with. My biggest qualm is that a great deal of the people covering things like fake stories and independent journalism aren't fully roleplaying it into their characters background and it's these same people who ask of activity from LSNN yet don't wish to partake within reforming media roleplay within LSNN. We're really focusing right now on the organizations infrastructure from head to toe to ensure that it's a sustainable faction long term, so we're pretty much starting a fresh and are working on every section of the faction and are implementing many new and creative ideas that I've not seen implemented previously. I hope moving forward we can revamp the faction and help bring creative, interactive and active roleplay to the community. Hopefully with these reforms and the financial incentives we will be able to offer that we'll be able to attract people to join the team. The difference with LS-RP was that SAN News on that server had sustained financial revenue from various script based supports, LSNN has nothing of the sort, no financial assets and no revenue sources that aren't self sourced. That's why we're trying to fix that with the current revamp of the faction to ensure that it's not a problem moving forward. Whilst money isn't everything on a roleplay community it's hard to lead a news faction when you've got two news vans and no ability to incentivize workers. We've already put forward an idea to FM that would easily rectify this issue and it'd be IC'ly driven internally and so I'm hoping that it's accepted as it's a sad reality that many people don't want to work for nothing even in a virtual video game. That's what I found previous leaderships struggled with was finding that source and judging by the logs I have access to relied on FM's financial support to stay afloat and even then that support wouldn't have even remotely attracted the people that it could as people were being rewarded less than 20K a week when they were active. I would say that on all RP communities I've seen 50% of people in news factions want to be competitively financially rewarded as a result of their work and even then the people that actively make their news character their primary is less than 25% I'd say. That's why we're looking at making the faction more engaging and creative and hopefully as a result it'll make it more attractive to roleplay within and with. I agree with your point about the OOC faction though, I find that a big issue when people don't actually roleplay this in-depth. As an example the recent arrest of the Mayor it was published two days before the Media Relations Unit within the LSPD reached out to us. We wouldn't usually wait for them to come to us but we're not actively present in-game at the moment due to working on the backend of the faction first.
  17. We’re currently creating a new infrastructure and reform for LSNN at the moment and are looking at revolutionizing the way news is done on this server. We’ve already set in motion structures and formats for different types of publications such as brief 24 hour news updates which will provide around the clock general news, LSNN Investigates for uncovering scandals and large stories, LSNN Living which will conduct reviews on the best places to work, best restaurant reviews etc. Then we’ve got our live element we’re looking to bring in a LIVE PD like show especially with the new camera script for the helicopter along with various comedy spin offs and live news reports. There’s a few other things which will engage the server like you’ve never seen before but we’re waiting on FM approval before we can announce these things but if approved I’m sure it’ll change things. In the past we’ve seen news factions just start up using the same ideas and structures that didn’t work and just flop, hence why we’re taking time to put in the ground work to build a sustainable and effective platform that’ll last. We’re trying to push to get up and live again as soon as possible so expect to see activity soon!
