  1. We literally did? It's one of our latest articles. Chamberlain is a complex issue that isn't a simple 'an article will cover all'. The repeated and constant gang wars aren't helpful for us to cover stories as we don't know who's been killed or who hasn't, so we can't exactly talk to people about it. We do heavily rely on people reaching out to us to help us with stories, we're a two-person team on a server of 400. We disagree with this. It's filler content for us, it still gives feedback to the city on what's going on.
  2. Investigations do take a large chunk of our time as we need to collaborate with our faction management handler for verification to release the article, then there's the stuff that happens in the background, mostly fact-checking and research, but thank you.
  3. We do record interviews when we conduct them, and we don't intend on becoming like TMZ, we don't like clickbait nor the questionable content they produce, it doesn't fit us as a news org. Hi! We already do allow people to send us tips and footage through our Forum DMs, and it's very much welcomed, or via our Facebrowser account, following a tip-off we do aim to investigate it, or flag it up for an investigation at a later date.
  4. More of an official question from us as a faction What's the best way to contact you guys for a statement/media relations in general? Your forums don't have any clear media information from what we can see and its difficult to get statements and such, thanks!
  5. Written by Callie Palencia CREDITS / SOURCES: Los Santos Police Media Relations The Los Santos Police Department has announced they've hit hard at drug and weapon dealers within the city, within a statement, their Area Detective Division confirmed a huge bust at an estimated street value of 2 million dollars of firearms and narcotics. The raid was in conjunction along with the Metropolitan Division C and K9 Platoons who executed a series of raids in Davis, following an investigation into a murder in Vespucci Canals, which is the largest ever bust in the City's history, beating out the former drug bust back in 2018. Credits Los Santos Police Media Relations - AUGUST 5TH, 2018 A total of five houses was raided across the city by Metropolitan Division teams, and the drugs were said to be located in 1025 Covenant Street, Davis. It was not made immediately clear if the suspect had been arrested and or detained at this time, LSNN has reached out to the Los Santos Police for further information. Along with this, it's believed the firearms and drugs taken from the streets will make the city a little bit safer at night knowing the firearms aren't in the hands of criminals. A comment from the unnamed supervising detective was "He was a powerful idiot, who was not on our radar" List of seized items: 5x Compact Rifles 2x Pump Shotguns 3x Machetes 2860x Pistol Munition 722x Rifle Munition 700 grams of Ecstasy 200 grams of Marijuana Crime in the city has been steadily on the rise, especially in economy stricken areas such as Davis, which makes the selling of illegal weapons and drugs a fairly common occurrence, on most of the corners of Chamberlain Hills especially people post upon them, occasionally selling marijuana or cocaine. Los Santos News has reached out to the Los Santos Police for further comments on the raids. And now a word from our sponsors Security is a big concern for citizens in Los Santos or even the whole state, so we've partnered up with Executive Security, the industry-leading firm in Security Services, from protective details to nightclub guarding, Executive Security will always have your back. 8. Written by Callie Palencia Los Santos News had the chance to sit down with the Los Santos Government's Director of Public Social Services Cherisse Bianchi to discuss a few topics on Monday. The meeting was enlightening and it hopefully eases some people's worries that the Government isn't doing enough to tackle homelessness. Cherisse Bianchi has been in the social work sector for well over fourteen years and she had moved to Los Santos last year, and joined the Government as Director of Public Social Services in December. So far during her tenure at the Government, she's built up a steady team of social workers and a psychologist. As a social worker, their main roles are to conduct assessments, casework and welfare checks on people. A lot of our conversation was focused around homelessness and how she plans to tackle the issue as a whole and she was happy to explain. Homeless shelters The Government has plans to open up a homeless shelter within Los Santos and they're already in talks with a local business to work with them. And should the project ever fall through, it'll fall on the city Government to handle. At the minute the homeless shelter will remain under community ownership, but that may change soon she added, but clarified that the city government will merely offer manpower to the businesses, to ensure they have a solid and well-trained team to handle the homeless. Public Housing and Youth Outreach The next project she'd like to work on is Public Housing, which will be focused mainly on her homeless project, and the Director plans to have this completed by this April. Along with this, she plans a Youth Outreach program, or even a recreational center to assist parents and children. At the minute, they're still in search of properties to house it, but are interested in the South of Los Santos, as this area is most affected by youths and younger adults. Drugs and rehabilitation programs Cherisse talked to us about the concern of drugs and gangs, especially in low-income areas such as Davis, Chamberlain Hills, and Rancho and that she wished to attempt to tackle it with her community outreach programs and recreational centers. Along with this, she was happy to confirm that the Sheriff's Department is planning on introducing a parole program to help people move on from a life of crime, and get them into stable employment. She also noted that it's difficult for ex-convicts to find reliable work, with their records, but they still deserved a second chance at redemption. Note from Los Santos News Network Articles will be slow this week due to our Director taking a one week vacation to Colorado, we intend on releasing an article or two regardless. We have now updated our Advertisement Policy to include additional advertisements, we believe it's unfair to only show one advertisement per article #ADVERTISEMENTS -- -- (( @Nymphie ))
  9. Hello! This is ultimately, a lot of effort, for sadly a lot of risks, at the minute, it's difficult to churn out articles at a steady pace, then format them into something viable for the note script. It's a great idea, but we don't see moving to this for the foreseeable future. As always with talking with people that come from a gang-related background, we do need to take risks into consideration, especially that we utilize a security company for when we 'go out' in our vehicles to look around for stories, but we'd be happy to look into this a bit more. I'm not that good with financial news or stock markets, sadly. However, if people have that kind of interest, we do allow people to submit articles to us, then they get paid, that's something I intend on posting soon tm, thanks for the feedback everyone!
  10. Hello and thank you for this level of feedback, it's very helpful for us to learn and adapt to the ever-changing server, and to balance ourselves with the server needs. For the first part, we do try and remain unbiased, but of course, things can sometimes slip, but no news organization is perfect in this matter. We all serve different ideas and thoughts. For the larger chunk, quoted above, we're in talks with the Government to work on a few articles, on where we cover the plans for the future. (One to be released today or tomorrow depending on I'm free) People must realize I'm merely one person and I lead a very small group, and these stories do take up time to write and put together, let alone work with our advertisement partners. For the other public servants, we do work with the EMS and PD to work together, as a group to focus on key issues around the city, I do believe we have a healthy relationship with them, along with a generally okay partnership. We intend on releasing a few articles in the future about the life of a first responder, but it does take time to sit down with them and talk. And lastly, it's hard to get all of the stories, since of our small size and we often rely on social media and word of mouth to learn of new stories, we heavily utilize Facebrowser to research and study stories, get peoples statements and such, but once again, it's a hard thing to do if nobody tells us what's happening.
  11. Written by Callie Palencia Written on the 22nd of March Disclaimer: Los Santos News Network believe it's fair to disclose that the company donated $5'000 to the charity. The Dungeon Crawler, located in West Vinewood has announced it has raised $357,421 for the American Foundation of Suicide Prevention (AFSP) in a single charity event. The event was hosted by a party that wished to remain private. The event went on for many hours and had the DJ Rina providing the music for the establishment during the course of the night, along with this the TDC lowered its entry fees to $250 to allow a large majority into the club. It wasn't immediately clear who made the biggest donations nor was it stated in the post itself. Poster Advertisement - Credits - The Dungeon Crawler Los Santos News reached out to John Monroe, owner of the Dungeon Crawler for a comment. "I am actually really happy how it turned out! This has shown the best in the people of LS. I was lost for words when it happened and it wouldn't have happened with such an amazing crew behind it all. All I can say is: Thanks!" 14. Written by Callie Palencia Written on: 21st of March The Dungeon Crawler has announced on Facebrowser it plans to host a charity event this Saturday in honor of Suicide Awareness. REDACTED NAME is set to host the event at the infamous nightclub in West Vinewood and has reached out to the community to donate to the cause. Suicide and Mental Health is an important topic across the globe, affecting millions within the United States alone, multiple studies from the World Health Organization has stated within 2019, In the last 45 years suicide rates have increased by 60% worldwide[1] Because of the event, The Dungeon Crawler has changed its door fees to $250 per person, and DJ Rina will be taking the DJ decks to bring people the best possible music, as per the social media post. Los Santos News has reached out to Rina to ask her what's the inspiration behind the event and where the funds will be distributed to, she provided this statement "Hi! So basically the party is hosted by REDACTED NAME, he thought of making a party that would focus completely on suicide awareness. This topic is quite important to me, as a lot of people keep taking mental conditions as a topic that's rather wiped under the carpet, which is a bummer. Markus and I thought that reminding people that taking care of our psychic condition is really important and no one should be left alone and there are professionals that will help us during the time of not feeling at our best. In the previous interview, I clearly stated that I'm DJ to make people happy, to make them feel better and aid them with my music. The funds are coming to Lifeline Los Santos Foundation. We already got a lot of big donations from a few sources, which makes me really proud of Los Santos' citizens." Los Santos News believes mental health is an important topic for discussions and believes that it's in our best interests to support such an event. Los Santos News Director Callie Palencia will be providing $5'000 towards the charity event. Should you ever feel like considering self-harm, or are in a dark spot in your life, don't be afraid to look up and ask for help. There are many facilities across Los Santos that can help you if you feel that you may cause harm to yourself or others, contact the emergency services on 911. 16. @ChippySound thank you! So to address your points: Government related news we will continue to look at, but we're unsure on how to proceed with it. Entertainment news is something we're very interested in looking into more, we have some articles in the works. Interviews with the fire department and police are planned too, along with a fire department exclusive series of "In the Life" And for the other things, thank you, we're trying hard to improve as a whole and this will be used to help expand us in the future.
  17. Hi folks So as of now, we're the only remaining Media Company on the server and we're still a small team, but we're welcoming all kinds of feedback ranging from suggestions to advice. We're welcome to see it all, as we wanna learn and we wanna grow as a company, sure we're not as big as Weazel, it's a two-man crew at the moment and I'm trying to get decent articles out. So my question is, what feedback do you have, what do you wanna see more of, less of? Help us learn and hopefully expand, we do understand that doing journalism isn't everyone's cups of teas, so we really need feedback on what to work on. Cheers

  19. Written by: Callie Palencia Written on: 15/MAR/2020 CASE REFERENCE: CF 048-20 The Chamberlain Hills Massacre is over, the Hills are shrouded in a toxic history of gang violence, mass shootings and brutal rapes, but thankfully it's happy to bring some closure to some residents after a brutal shooting occurred which claimed the lives of two people, the killer, a Santos Cavallero, a gang member who proclaims himself as a 'Thirteen', in possible relation to the street gang that operates in Chamberlain Hills. The brow raising statements made in courts do nothing but raise tensions in the area for more retaliationary strikes against the gang. Santos stood up before the court alongside his public defender, Jameson Vittori, honorable Justice Winston Graves was presiding the case. It wasn't much of a shock that Santos felt no remorse or regret for his actions, and later went on to state that the 13s control the streets for life while speaking Spanish. He was later punished to 25 years to life in Twin Towers Correctional Facility for multiple murders, among other felony level crimes, and he will not be eligible for release upon his 25 years is completed. Despite the drama in the court, it's not much of a surprise he accepted his guilt, considering the violence that is rampant within TTCF, with gangs forming already within the facility, most commonly Hispanic groups and White Nationalist factions. File picture - 29/JAN/2019 - LOS SANTOS FIRE DEPARTMENT The crime in Chamberlain Hills is not a shocker, considering the almost iconic reputation of the zone, even last year a LSFD Captain was gunned down there, while attending a arson incident, which lead to a full blown shootout with METRO and Hispanic shooters, which led to a total of 6 deaths and again, a few months later where two EMTs was gunned down after responding to a shooting incident. Chamberlain Hills still remains the most dangerous part of Los Santos and we advise all civilians avoid that area, as much as possible. #AD

  21. Written by: Callie Palencia Written on: 12/03/2020 LSNN first reported on the rampant crime in Twin Towers Correctional Facility a few days ago where Charlotte Dixon was brutally murdered by Roberto Molina in a open yard, while his acomplaces aided him in his brutal act. Today the courts bring us some hopeful news, despite the screaming match after the sentence was submitted, Roberto Molina has been charged with First Degree Murder, and will remain in prison for an additional 20 months. In a trial that lasted 6 days, a quick one, considering the charges against him, Roberto Molina changed his plea to guilty and gave a brief statement to the court, in his statement "I am truthfully regretful of my actions against Mrs. Dixon that resulted in her untimely demise. I realize now that what I did was foolish and very cruel to snatch away a persons life in such a violent manner. I ask you to take pity on me with your sentencing, your honor. That is all." The prosecution wasn't very convinced by his comments and issued a quick rebuttal "Your honor, we would like to reiterate our points. The defendant has showed clear indifference to the value of human life. We would like to remind the Court yet again that Mister Molina has already been convicted of first degree murder. Here he is yet again, facing another first degree murder charge after ruthlessly and brutally butchering the victim while being held in a correctional facility for the exact same crime. As the victim was being held in a chokehold, Mister Molina continuously stabbed her. Over and over and over and over, with no mercy to spare" The judge ultimately disagreed with Roberto and said he didn't believe his statement, issuing his ruling of 20 months in prison with a considered parole after 2 years along with several points. Shortly after the judgement Roberto exploded in a rage filled rant, threatening to murder the Judge and the Prosecutor. He was screaming and kicking as he was dragged out of the court by the Deputies to be taken back to Twin Towers Correctional Facility. The judge responded by demanding the prisoner out and provided a Deputy escort for the Prosecuting District Attorney. The full case documents can be located online. #ad
  22. Written by Callie Palencia Written on the 11/MAR/2020 Los Santos, the city of saints and sinners, but lately, the crime in the city has been on the rise, and from a recent LSNN Publication, being inside a jail is probably the most dangerous place in the city, due to it's rampant crime and murders, check out THIS article for more information. So, you've just arrived in Los Santos, and you want to keep yourself safe, how exactly do you arrange that? Well, we sat down and spoke with the experts in the industry, Executive Security and asked them all things Security and Safety. When keeping yourself safe in the city, we asked a group of staff from Executive Security, what are the top tips for keeping safe within Los Santos, here's their replies. Holly Ambrose: Try not to travel alone, especially in the evening. Just as well, please exercise your second amendment rights as afforded to you by the Constitution. Finally, when driving and you need to look at your phone, try your best to pull over in a highly visible, public place. Same goes for going places on foot. Try to always be visible to other people. Keep your surroundings and the people there in mind. On a specific note, watch out for people with dirt bikes. When asked questions about the company itself Valerie, the Management Assistance, she stated the company had over 20 active staff, whom went through extensive vetting and background checks before being brought onto the company. Furthermore the company also announced it's new fleet of security vehicles, which helps it have a presence and offer a form of deterrence of crime, for the venues they operate at, which currently stands at a dozen active contracts. When asked about any form of emergency responses and it's services, Holly Ambrose replied with "We do not offer emergency response services, as we believe it would infringe on the purpose of law enforcement in the city and state. However, we offer a wide range of other services. Most notably, venue security, but security systems installation bodyguarding, and event security as well" ES Patrol Vehicle File Picture - Credits: Executive Security #AD

  24. Written by the LSNN Leaks Team Written on the 07/MAR/2020 REFERENCE #I-03A CASE REFERENCE: [CF 042-20] State of San Andreas v. Oscar Marina Editors Note: Article was delayed due to pending criminal cases. Culminating from a LSNNLeaks and court documents, the recent security incidents at the Twin Towers Jail / Prison is becoming somewhat alarming for citizens and individuals alike, and the public and brutal murder of Charlotte Dixon by a group of hispanic males in a open court yard asks more questions than answers, and if the officials handling the jail are to blame for such actions. The main issues we see here is that one, why are females being placed with males within the same prison? The lack of multiple sections clearly lacks thought from the Warden and in thus, put peoples lives at risk because of this. The amount of criminal activity at the prison is spiking and the lack of intervention from the Sheriff's Department is clear. On the ideas of criminality, smuggling contraband is a staple within the Twin Towers complex, multiple Facebrowser accounts have been made where inmates post selfies of themselves onto the platform, which go unmoderated by the sites administrative team and apparently unnoticed. As of the time of writing posts still remain on the platform. And onto the main issue at hand, the brutal murder of Charlotte Dixon, by the hand of three Hispanic subjects, Roberto Molina, Oscar Marina, and Marco Embry, who trapped Dixon in the courtyard, Embry distracted her while Marina put her in a headlock, followed up by Molina stabbing her repeatedly in the abdomen, until she perished due to her wounds. The shocking footage displayed in the court was damning, and the lack of security and regular checks on the inmates is beyond concerning. This ultimately asks a few questions, why did this happen? Why didn't SD Deputy Kai shoot to kill, or even incapacitate the subjects? How did they get such a bladed object through the tight security such as the Twin Towers, and finally, why aren't the inmates subjected to occasional searches, if they're record is deemed extremely high. Or better yet, questions should be repointed at the Warden and the designers who ultimately ruled that this facility should be both, male and female, it's extremely rare and uncanny for a facility like this, that especially houses such dangerous criminals, even the infamous child abuser Radley Morton remains at Twin Towers complex. LSNN has reached out to LSSD for comment on the matters ongoing within the prison. E: Statement from the Sheriffs Department So Los Santos, do you trust the LSSD's capabilities to handle the prison? Or should private firms be considered. #AD
