No advertisements will run on this article Information sourced from the LSPD Press Release: https://lspd.gta.world/viewtopic.php?f=1139&t=33386 At around 19:00 hours on the 19th of April, 2020 Police Officer I Malakai Nixon was conducting a traffic stop on a vehicle at the Davis Mega Mall, shortly thereafter Nixon activated his panic alarm, officers arriving on the scene had located Nixon gunned down in the Davis Mega Mall. Nixon was only in the department for roughly 3 weeks before this horrific act occurred. 2. Written by Callie Palencia In a groundbreaking ruling, the Appeals Court has ruled that Teresa Valdez is to be cleared of all criminal charges against her, following an appeal by her attorney, Terrence Fogel. Fogel brought his case before the Appeals Division on the 10th of April, arguing that Valdez rights were violated by the SABI investigation and there was a lack of reasonable doubt. The initial investigation from SABI was brought up following the arrest of Mike Marschall for multiple felonies, in where Valdez was accused of perjury and neglect of public duty. The case was fast moving, finishing within 2 days on the 8th of April, ordering Valdez to sentenced to 3 months in prison. Following the case, Alexandra Forge immediately brought a suit against Valdez, accusing her of negligence against her client (Mike Marschall), despite Forge's rage in the courtroom, repeatedly speaking out of line and very hostile towards Terrence Fogel, the Justice Eric Sanford was quick to bring the court to order, ordering that Valdez cannot be held responsible, ordering that "The plaintiff does not have any claim due to the principle of contributory negligence." In a ruling issued a hour ago, Justice Bruce Mayner reversed the lower courts decision, arguing that the standards of beyond a reasonable doubt could not have been met. He also argued that the courts lack of time could not establish proper clarity. A statement issued by Terrence Fogel to LSNN. 5. Written by Callie Palencia The Los Santos Police Department has issued a statement today concluding their investigation into the incident that occurred on Monday evening, where as multiple officers was involved in an illegal street race, assisted by the Los Santos Police Department's media relations division. A total of 7 officers was involved were given suspensions without pay, letters of reprimand or admonishment. LSPD Lieutenant Armando Rosario had arrived on the scene after the event had taken place and intervened, immediately stopping the event from continuing on. Two officers, Nick Muller and Alistair Daniels had resigned immediately after a interview with Internal Affairs Group and it has been confirmed the Department has accepted their resignations. The LSPD confirmed they will not seek charges on Daniels or Muller for the involvement in this matter after discussions with the Los Santos District Attorney's Office. Even more grave concerns was raised that an on duty officer Coleman deployed his Department Issued Taser on Officer Daniels after a bet with the crowd, which draws more questions than answers. Why was he not fired from this act? A taser isn't a toy. LSPD didn't respond to our requests for comment at the time for publishing. Multiple tips was raised to LSNN via our hotlines, claiming that Coleman is still actively on the force, and even visited multiple businesses last night. More concerns than answers was raised from this statement, especially how the LSPD are to be trusted with department issued equipment when they seem to abuse it so freely and without major punishments, in the case of Coleman, he's allowed to patrol freely. 6. We as a different faction but we criticise PD constructively, we get results from it, Big Smokes and his command team is very helpful and is constructive in dialog for those who show respect, it's a two way street. In our recent weeks, we've provided while it may be IC criticism and we've already seen big results from it, officers suspended for their actions. "-You file IC casefiles and win 10 cases in a row? No one loses his job." Completely incorrect, we've seen a few officers lose their jobs in the past, just because they have a shield, doesn't shield them from repercussions.

  8. LSNN Official The Los Santos Sheriffs County Media Relations has provided the following statement, denying they was involved in the racing and it has been added to the main article. We have confirmed with absolute certainty that no Sheriff's Deputies were involved in any sort of illicit activity at the Los Santos International Airport. Any Sheriff's Department presence on the 12th of April was due to public safety concerns - after investigating the situation, we have determined that the presence of Deputy Kane was limited to an active 911 call. Unfortunately, we are not permitted to provide details about public safety investigations. However, to suggest that Mister Kane or any other deputy was involved in illicit activity would be incredibly dangerous to the sanctity of this profession, as we will not allow false accusations to besmirch the excellent public safety record of this department since my administration took charge. Should a deputy have been involved in an illegal street race, I would be the first person to call for him to be placed into handcuffs and walked straight down to the penitentiary. But after speaking to the individuals involved, it's clear that there was no involvement of any kind by a Los Santos Sheriff's Deputy in any sort of illicit activity. Any presence of Sheriff's Deputies was limited purely to calls of service by community members. I am an advocate for the transparency and democratic nature of the news media, I, of course, praise the efforts of the news media to get to the bottom of these circumstances, but I do hold that we should not cast stones without first confirming the true nature of the circumstance at hand and allowing the proper authorities to complete their investigation. With regards to my colleagues at the Los Santos Police Department, I hold a positive relationship with Chief Hughes, and our agencies work hand-in-hand to ensure that this county remains a safe place to live. Neither my office or the department shall offer comment to questions pertaining to any "argument" which took place during this circumstance. - Sheriff P. Machado

  11. Written by: Los Santos News Leaks **Footage is embedded into the article ** The Los Santos Police Department is facing a public relations problem after it was uncovered they were participating in an illegal street race organized by an unknown party in the early hours of this morning. LSNN was tipped off through a disposable email service that contained footage of multiple cruisers and LSPD SUVs taking part in the event. LSNN counted a total of five LSPD vehicles blocking the streets off and participating in the event. To this time, LSNN was able to verify that no event permits were issued for this event, nor any official LSPD endorsed events were planned. As per the Penal Code, this event was breaking the law: 413. Motor Vehicle Contest (M) Any person(s) performing an unlicensed or undesignated race or competition on city, county, or state paved roads or courses that incites the potential for other violations or demonstrates a potential for hazard. Los Santos News has reached out to the Los Santos Police Department for an official comment > LINK LSPD Statement The Los Santos Police Department has taken note of the unsanctioned event that took place on the night of the 12th of April 2020 at the Los Santos International Airport. Following information and evidence received from sources present at the event, a total of nine active serving police officers have been put on administrative leave by the department. The Internal Affairs Group will take its time in the next few days to interview these officers regarding their involvement and subsequently either clear them from the investigation, issue internal disciplinary action or file criminal charges against them if reason for any of the aforementioned is found.Although the Los Santos Police Department aims to provide a place for all members of the community to practice their hobbies safely, the department does not condone doing so in violation of other's rights or without following the rules and laws in place. The office of the Chief of Police and by extent the department wishes to apologize profusely to anyone that was impacted by what took place. Although there is no doubt that the officers in their minds acted with the right intentions to defuse a potentially volatile situation, the Los Santos Police Department does not condone, in doing so, breaking the laws that are set in place to give every part of our community the opportunity to host events to practice their hobbies, beliefs or other rights that have been afforded to them.Serving this community is our priority, but we must do so from a position of absolute integrity. It would be unamerican of us to ask this of you without being willing to lead by example. I, therefore, promise you that if it is found through an internal investigation that any of my officers acted outside of the law, they will be punished according to the laws we all vow to uphold. While the investigation is taking place, the Office of the Chief of Police has tasked the Media Relations and Community Affairs Division with reaching out to tournament organizers within the racing community to evaluate what can be done to provide better guidance and opportunities for them. A major part of ensuring something like this never happens again is creating more officially sanctioned and organized events so they may take place instead of unsanctioned street races to provide a way for those interested to practice their hobbies in a safe and controlled environment. The Office of the Chief of Police remains available to answer any questions regarding the event. We cannot, however, provide any information in regards to our internal investigation, as it is in the very early stages at this point in time. Henry Vides In a string of recent events, the Butchers of Korea Town has struck again, in what appears to be a blind hatred driven rampage, impacting residents of Little Seoul. LSNN tip line received multiple tips regarding the Butcher(s) of Koreatown, in this case, one has been named Henry Vides, a man who was jailed on the 5th of April, 2020, for the First Degree Murder of Derek Ross. Additional sources claim that multiple brutal murders have occurred within Koreatown, including the beheading of a female, her additional limbs were chopped up and tossed into black bin bags, the source goes onto mention that she had the words 'MS' burned into her neck. Vides barbaric acts beat Ross to death, he has shown zero remorse for his actions and when he was detained, he said he was following "Myth" orders. Following his case in court, Vides changed his plea to guilty and requested to Judge Gregory Walker to provide a statement to the court, Walker agreed. His statement is as follows: "It aint no secret that I did what I did to follow my gang's rules, I'll make it known here that I have no regrets for what I did. Mister Ross was a no good, a violador. I killed him on specific orders. If he has other family members? They're probably gonna die too at some point. Why? That isn't what my two letters stands for.' 'Incase those in the courtroom wonder what the two letters is? It is the Mara Salvatrucha. I am The Mara Salvatrucha. I am the face of it, its organization, what it stands for... La Mara runs K-Town and we don't allow no goods in our varrio" The court unanimously ruled that Vides is to serve a life sentence without the possibility of parole. While Vides was being dragged away by the Clerks, be burst into a peal of hysterical laughter, screaming that "The Mara Salvatrucha rules, rob and controls". Los Santos News will reach out to the Los Santos Police to see if they have a statement on the matter. Various graffiti relating to MS-13 litters Little Seoul and the surrounding areas. 13. Written by Callie Palencia Teresa Valdez, a former Police Officer III in the Los Santos Police Department was dismissed after she was arrested, following a SABI investigation. She was initially accused of F(C) 106. Neglect of Public Duty and F(C) 111. Perjury. The trial was incredibly swift and brought out veteran attorneys from Forge's Law Group, Juno Midsumer, and Terrence Fogel. Alexandra Forge initially tried to demand Juno to stand down, filing a Cease and Desist upon him, over "stepping over conflict lines". Los Santos News Tips line received a direct email alleging Forge herself tried to claim Teresa Valdez as her own client. This in which, raises questions of morality and ethics in her company. Despite the anonymous tippers' hardest efforts of deleting the images, you can't delete something from the internet. Los Santos News Leaks Moving on, the T.Valdez case lasted merely three days and resulted in a court judgment finding Teresa Valdez guilty, a decorated officer, guilty after a simple mistake she had made. In which brief ironic circumstances, The Forge Group who attempted to represent Valdez is now suing her, Alexandra Forge and Mike Marschall are filing a suit against Valdez for civil offenses, following her guilty verdict. They claim Gross Negligence, Neglect of Public Duty, and Excessive Force. The strange circumstances around The Forge Group strike many concerns for me, it's clear they're not a trustworthy firm, nor an ethical one, attempting to use the legal system as a spear to get 'what she wants when she wants' and that she's willing to throw ethics out the window to get that. The online criticism on the ruling was harsh and fierce, mostly condemning the investigation and the judicial system's lack of Due Process, one comment stated: Shocked and appalled at the depth of that court case - DOJ was more interested in a "look at us guys, we have power now haha" than an actual fair trial. All you achieved is destroying the life of arguably an exemplary officer that could have made one mistake throughout the entirety of their career for all we know The San Andreas Bureau of Investigation declined to comment. The Los Santos Police provided this statement to Los Santos News "On the 3rd April 2020, the Los Santos Police Department was informed by the San Andreas Bureau of Investigation that an active investigation was underway on Police Officer III Teresa Valdez for allegations of perjury. This investigation was initiated by the SABI following the conclusion of CF 063-20, San Andreas v. Mike Marschall, and due to this all investigation was conducted by the Bureau and not the LSPD’s Internal Affairs Group, who cooperated throughout, including in the execution of the arrest. In light of today’s ruling from the Superior Court on CF 070-20, the State of San Andreas v. Teresa Valdez, we can confirm that Teresa Valdez’s employment with the department has been terminated. We would like to reassure the public that this occurrence is not a common one, as supervisors regularly and stringently review the quality and content of submissions from their direct subordinates. This unprecedented incident, however, highlights areas of improvement and as such, the department will be striving to undertake a thorough audit to ensure further accountability and to refine our standards of written testimony with the aim of preventing a similar incident from occurring again. The LSPD’s Professional Standards Bureau will be working alongside the Operation Bureau, who manage our field personnel, to ensure that this is completed to the best of the department’s ability." The Los Santos Police Department looks forward to working hand in hand with the San Andreas Bureau of Investigation, following the re-establishment of their Los Santos Field Office, in ensuring that the core principles of the department - Community, Professionalism, and Respect, are maintained and that our officers meet the level expected by the city and its citizens. #ad ---
  14. Things like this are easier said than done, we do recruit, we just need people to apply, however, we have recently recruited some more staff to help us in making articles and content.
  15. From an internal thing, we're working on a rough timeline of when to post articles, ideally, we're aiming for the afternoon from 12 PM to 5 PM, like this from our research can provide much better viewership numbers compared to 1 am style articles. And yes, it's a difficult challenge because we're struggling with manpower on a daily basis which can lead to a high amount of stress on myself. Visibility is something we are actively working on with Faction Management, including our new vehicles, which have been submitted to the modding team for testing and approval, but this is sadly out of our hands, as we have no control over it. And we hate to reiterate it, but we're simply just one person at this time, we have a very very low application rate, within the last two months we had only two people even bother to apply to join us, and they went inactive even after being hired. Creating a subforum is completely out of our hands, and it's not up to us, we can always ask our Faction Management handler about this, but it's highly unlikely on getting approval for such a trivial thing, the Online News and Stories is our only place at this time to post articles, sadly. But we can of course, pass the feedback along and see how far that gets us. At this time, we do have a little discord, that will have updates when articles and important news is posted, anyone is welcome to join, we'll let readers know when a new article is posted> https://discord.gg/em6FKcb Monthly recaps are hard for us, as it involves a large number of man-hours to review the right subforums to research and ultimately write, stories do take a large amount of time to write and then check the story, get comments from LSPD/FD/SD, etc. But we're still looking into better ways to streamline this process.
  16. DISCLOSURE This article is paid for by the Los Santos West Broadcasting. Check the bottom of the page for more information. On the 4th of April, Los Santos News invited DJ Leonard "LeCamp" Campbell, the iconic DJ that is known throughout the clubs in Los Santos, who occasionally goes by slogan Hits for the car and the bar, for an interview at our office in Maze Tower. The interview was lengthy and covered a large series of topics, and once again, this is an #paidpromotion, since Los Santos West Broadcasting places advertisements on LSNN articles. This does not reflect our coverage of them, either negative or positive. Provided by Los Santos West Broadcasting Leonard is no stranger to music, he started off while he was a youngster in San Diego, he worked on an old Akai MPC with a couple of his friends, during his college days he used to DJ for some of the events then thereafter college, he started in some youth clubs and other small gigs. He told us he moved to Los Santos, a Craig Warren who liked his music and gave him a shot at his club, Club Legal. When it comes to music, Leonard took inspiration from David Guetta, Laurent Garnier, and Daft Punk. Moving onto his genre preferences, Leonard utilizes a lot of genres depending on the event, sometimes he uses a genre called g-house(Ghetto House) but when he last played at the Playboy Mansion he switched it up to a more tropical vibe. He jokingly continued that he sometimes does play pranks on the crowd or finishes his performance off with the infamous Darude Sandstorm. We moved the conversation onto other DJs in the city, LeCamp expressed that he maintains a positive and healthy mindset towards most of the DJs within the city, but expressed some disappointment in the falls of DJs, such as the case of DJ OnO after his murder charge, and a recent case with DJ Cy which was known across the city for having an unprofessional image. Onto more positive vibes, we asked if he had what it takes to be the best DJ in Los Santos, he believes that there are other DJs within the city that are more experienced, such as PHNTM, and went further into explaining that DJ Rina was most likely the well known. But finished it off saying that "the throne is not really something I am afraid of losing", he finished it off saying that he'll do his thing at clubs regardless and whatever event would hire him. The full unedited interview can be located [HERE] Contact Details for LeCamp Name: Leonard 'LeCamp' Campbell Number: 800-813 Facebrowser: LINK Rates: Can be discussed.
