  1. As Sim mentioned, there are inmate events which are planned/coordinated in the LSSD discord. The reality is that while female characters do get imprisoned - speaking from experience as an LEO RP'er, it's probably less than 10% of all people that are given custodial sentences. Unfortunately, that means that the female pod in TTCF is going to be far, far less active than the male pod. The LSSD is pretty receptive towards the feedback it receives from all members of GTA:W - if you join the discord, ask for the inmate role and perhaps make a couple of suggestions, then people involved with the custody operations side of SD might take into consideration your suggestions, and see if they can make alterations to make the experience a little more fun.
  2. Pretty much this. Bars and clubs are generally among the most popular businesses on the server. Granted, there might be greater overheads like the cost of staff and security, but people rarely mind paying extra for alcoholic drinks or other items at the bar. Compare this to a more specific business - for argument's sake a record shop. It might not be as well frequented and there might not always be "items" to buy per se - however, the business owner can't simply live on $800/hr paychecks as it would make it impossible for them to further establish the business, or establish their own RP life in the economy. It's essentially to make more uncommon or less popular business ideas sustainable.
  3. (( Locked and archived. If the sale does not go ahead, drop me a PM to reopen the thread. ))
  4. 100%; it might not be so high priority but it would certainly help.
  5. This suggestion ultimately depends on how the actual clothing model is created. "Ears" clothing models are a completely different type to "hat" models - where the model attaches is different, etc. etc.; so it's not such a simple fix. There are also different parameters - for example, some hats can be configured to hide the actual hair model and retain only the hair tattoo, so as to prevent clipping. If it was achievable, it would certainly be nice.
  6. This is also true. There are no free gear mods available (apart from a Spidi jacket/jean set on Franklin, which doesn't work well with the MP model, and a poor Alpinestars jacket). It's also a lot of work to make these since you'd probably need a new model. So you'll either end up looking like a power ranger, a squid, or a cafe-racer rider on an R1, no in between. As much as I'd like to see much better motorcycle mods, whether it be clothing and vehicle ingame, the bottom line is that there's very little chance of non-lore bikes being added (just as we have no non-lore cars), and that riding gear is impossible to find. It's a shame.
  7. It's a suggestion I would like to see implemented in the server, as I feel like the current crop of motorcycles is highly restrictive and unrealistic RP wise (new riders would be much better on something like an R3, than, say, a liter sports bike at the age of 18). However, the server's emphasis has always been on lore friendly vehicles and this is unlikely to change. Likewise, a lot of these mods listed above, while extremely high quality, are also very resource consuming, whether you consider it storage-wise or how much it would cause lag or texture loss to other players.
  8. The property has now been sold to a player, so the thread can be locked and archived. Sorry to those who weren't chosen - I received much interest for the property and it was a difficult choice.
  9. For sale is a decently sized apartment in the heart of Paleto Bay. It is furnished with a bedroom, open-plan kitchen and lounge, as well as a laundry room and bathroom. The property will be sold for $105,000. (( THIS PROPERTY IS BEING SOLD NOT TO THE HIGHEST BIDDER BUT TO A BIDDER WHO WANTS TO BE INVOLVED IN LOCAL, PALETO BAY ROLEPLAY. INTERESTED PARTIES PLEASE SEND ME A FORUM PM WITH YOUR CHARACTER BACKGROUND AND I WILL SELL THE PROPERTY TO THE MOST APPROPRIATE PLAYER FOR THE PRICE ABOVE OR SIMILAR. )) You can find a gallery of images below: (( INCLUDES /PINFO )) https://imgur.com/a/3UhzliX INTERESTED PARTIES ARE URGED TO REGISTER THEIR INTEREST BEFORE 20:00 ON MONDAY, 6. JUNE. NO DECISIONS WILL BE MADE BEFORE THIS TIME.
  10. I offer the starting bid for this property.
  11. I quite like the dividers and think they should be kept. They're well made and it certainly feels slightly more realistic to keep them.
  12. Is the Dinka TT still for sale? If so, I'll offer buyout.
  13. As far as I'm concerned, I feel like people would abuse the fact they have "protection" from running to a hardware store and just buying something with zero roleplay involved, and it adds nothing to any construct where you could consider this element of business roleplay as "heavy". In fact, it diminishes the elements of heavy RP already existing. Businessmen and women should be taking the safety of their property seriously. Safety should always be at the forefront of any business' operation, particularly because the punishment for being negligent in their conduct for whatever reason is heftier than the original effort to ensure that any safety issues are fixed. With that being said, as I mentioned before, fire safety equipment needs to be tailored to each and every business. They have different structures, use different materials, are of different sizes, and have different purposes. Sprinklers, as example (because it's the most known equipment) are suitable in some locations where they may not be in others. It's down to the business owner to plan this when they're coming up with this business idea. Again, safety is the foundation of any property, not an afterthought. I have never agreed with people having to pay for extra slots for fire safety equipment. However, much of this is because, as mentioned before, people see it as an afterthought rather than a foundation, which is contrary to any logical business operation. In San Andreas, the majority of business owners see their property as money machines, and many are hostile towards anything which steps foot in the way of such practice. In short: I disagree with your proposed solution (regarding the hardware store - not the compromise of no slot equipment), because it detracts from the "heavy" roleplay aspect of having to own and manage a business.
  14. Negative. A more efficient solution would be for designated fire safety equipment to not count towards a furniture limit. There is more to "fire safety" than just sprinklers in a property, as appears to be the assumption that the entirety of the server makes. Each element of fire safety has its own purpose, and different deployments are suitable for different reasons - for example, you aren't going to use a sprinkler in an area dedicated for electrical systems. Not least to add - taking a recent precedent: if CCTV doesn't exist in player own properties, it can't be roleplayed. Considering the number of fires that've been hosted by the server recently, it would be more than appropriate for fire safety systems to be physically present, and proper deployment and care should be taken if owners want to protect their business, rather than having a one-stop-shop that will "protect" them against fire attacks.
  15. (( My bad, but I didn't realise your bid, never got a notification. The property is sold and the listing can be archived. ))
  16. For sale is a cosy apartment on Occupation Avenue in Alta. It contains a lounge, kitchen and dining area as well as two bedrooms and a bathroom. Dedicated parking is available at the side of the building. The starting price for this property is $105,000 with a buyout at $160,000. Bids must be increased by $5,000 at a time. ((MP $105 000 FV $0 )) Images are attached below. (( https://imgur.com/a/bGKaM1d ))
