I was gonna say something about derogatory treatment, then I remember hospital staff get verbally abused by everyone from LEO's to crack addicts irl so rip. however this comment leads me onto a greater point. Time and time again there's "Problems with LEO faction X, or Y, issues with courts, bails etc"... y'know these are more concentrated forms of the issues American's face irl each day. Bail's busted, it favours rich people. That's by design. This is a realistic server, behaviours, protocols, procedures and laws (with the exception of Marijuana) are based off the way its done already irl and to be realistic to IRL, most of the time even directly mirrored. So yeah, food for thought.

That's not what I was referring too. Ik most of the time when people say "dev" they mean fancy new tools etc. im taking it back to the more literal sense. development of the area in which SAPR roleplay. Development of the state parks/ adding campsites etc would just give everyone more to do and could be a long summer project ready for the autumn. idk, the construction site being mapped over has opened pandora's box i'm afraid, endless possibilities with benefits to everyone.

Gonna tag yours here whilst referencing the main post somewhat also. People are deaf, it happens irl. Thanks to the age of idk, keyboards and typing being deaf isn't exactly a limitation like it once was in the professional setting. Even more so by the fact phones can record whats being said around you and both type it out for you, and automatically translate it. Courts in the united states are increasingly seeing deployment of such technologies to help when stenographers aren't about. Doesn't take a genius char to RP pirating it and setting it up for themselves in their day to day/professional uses. That's absolutely not an "RPQM" case, in fact i'd argue it'd be more unrealistic for you to report a deaf person as your in essence saying its not realistic for someone to RP like that. (Not you in specific but you mention the RPQM should step it up so yours is the perfect tag). Now for the rest of the cases, split of models/not yeah that's something i'd consider fair game to report.. but like... when you report 200-300 people, you genuinely can't expect to get a reply within the same 2-3 months? Cause it seems this abundance of nice looking characters is far more than 10 or 20 etc. This idea of proactive hunting doesn't work because as Invictus pointed out, RPQM doesn't RP with the players. RPQM can't easily determine from a glance the genuine from the lookalikes. Which is why it relies on player reports, as ideally that player would know more about the player and the character and provide them detail to make a judgement. RPQM doesn't exist to deal with what people don't like seeing, its there to deal with the issues which affect groups or long term RP.

Does the SD department have a traffic unit like PD does? If so, there u go, highway patrol. If SAPR is split, then I see that as being the ultimate solution. Give people a division in an LEO agency to do their highway duties and solely focus on that (without needed to create new material, "new" faction, organize how that'd interact with others etc. When this issue shows its not uniform. I hope FM see this and see that niche factions need dev updates. nothing bad about the current focuses, just don't forget the lil guys, they need cool new stuff too once in a while to help bolster their niche concept.

Then serious discussions need to be raised as to why a relatively smaller life bringing project to more area's of the map is so far down on the list. It's not really matching any one agenda, its just there for the players to enjoy.

As Bospy pointed out, a third true agency would work in that white collar crimes, or blue crimes (deputy gangs/corruption in any faction) would actually work quite well. And it provides recourse for incidents where without significant resources one may find themselves facing a lovely stone wall. However yeah, like my biggest issue is the moment Highway patrol comes out. That's it. Highways will have speed traps every mile and 10 cruisers parked along intervals up great ocean for instance. That's not where any crime realistically happens, its just a way for the state to make a bit of that cash cash money on speeding tickets. These points seem like we're in a merry go round. The focus should be from FM, SAPR and the development team, to create more things for every player to do in the parks and county. We've just had a brand new PD HQ, which is great but it now proves the capability for the server to have hunting cabins, or fishing cabins mapped in along lakes. Literal campsites that stay longer than the weird gta 5 base ones. Lil things to add depth and flavour to the map which itself will then inspire use. A fuckin lovely lake up by one of the parks would be perfect to sit and RP fishing, some beers and a campsite. That then is a hub for the park rangers to RP around. More mountain bike patrols, more buggies etc, less need for tactical equipment and big heavy cruisers. sorry brothers in the woods but this seems to me like the better way forward without creating a traffic citation epidemic.

I don't necessarily agree with any form of specific highway patrol. Ultimately, the state county is supposed to be the juri of the county sheriffs, but obviously as SA is more sparsely populated than LS, SD moved mainly to Davis/Vespucci and the highways connecting out of those area's. The park rangers have the potential to be a great faction, but the whole time the thought process are divided between wanting to be the 3rd LEO/Highway patrol, and those who believe the niche aspect of the park rangers could work if the laws and server features pushed more to the parks and things to do out there. I /always/ hear of ppl planning camping trips to one of SA's state parks, thats a rotating set of people for SAPR to interact with and create RP with.

when the servers at like 800 people, a good bet a report comes in once every 2-3 seconds, at most maybe a minute apart. i think hindsight is always a beauty as new admins who finally see it for the first time all agree, you barely get shit all time to RP as an admin, because of the work flow is constant. Now for you as the player, you may log in and see 3 admins off duty and 2 on duty for instance. What you won't have seen, is the other 3 being on duty all throughout the afternoon or graveyard hours, finally rping because someone's come on to cover. From the admins perspective the issue is far different, im sure 100% of the admins would prefer people stop petty reporting one another, or breaking the rules and thinking they're sly, so that these very admins themselves may enjoy the community they administrate instead of piling up burnout. But this ain't an ideal world. Frustrations happen, but the issue is entirely different than what most people will witness I can assure you.

Well I was gonna give some mild criticism that it takes up too much space, but you can limit what size of ads show up so cool. tbh its cooler when its showing house names and such, thats definitely a win
