  1. Hello! March will be a very important month for GTAW, as we'll be deploying our new 1.5 update, with amazing content to come and allowing us to go even further for next updates ! But you shall all hear more about it in a few hours and next week. Our staff update is coming up late this month as we've had issues reviewing the staff applications and decided to let them open a few more days since we were not happy with the current applications sent. However, major changes are being made in the team and needs to be pushed as of today, hence why there will be two staff updates this month. Staff roles update @Ikechukwu will now be a Manager as Head of Community @Maca has been promoted Head of Admins @Dominykas. has been promoted Head of Support @Caporegime has been promoted Head of Illegal Faction Management GTAW Values Now that our community is starting to become really big and reaches more than 200 players at peak time, I feel that It is a good time to remind everyone why GTAW was created and what is the goal of this project. Most of you know where I am coming from when it comes to roleplay, I spent 10 years playing and learning to roleplay on a SAMP server that had its strengths and its weaknesses, but overall It was a great server where I was able to enjoy my time there as a roleplayer and where I respected the team managing it. These past years, It seems that the server I spent a long part of my life on and Its management got driven by other goals than just offering their players a fair, transparent, and enjoyable roleplay environment. Is it my role to judge them about this ? Could I do anything about it and make them change ? I tried, twice, three times and ended up witnessing corruption at its deepest by my own eyes. Which was the moment I decided It was time for a real change and that I would start this project with only one goal in mind : Provide myself the roleplay community I will enjoy playing on and respect. GTAW was nothing but a selfish project at its core : I was not driven by the motivation to create the biggest server in the world, nor to buy a yatch with donation money, nor to welcome all players that cannot play elsewhere. It was my own little selfish project as I wanted to provide myself a place where I could roleplay with the standards I was expecting, in text and not voice, with fair administrators and a transparent management. It turns out that my project attracted you all here, some followed me from my past as lead developer on other servers, some followed me because they roleplayed with me on past servers, and some came because they liked how the project was shaped. The initial development started 2 years ago, and we are here today with all of you coming from everywhere after your friends have recommended you to play here. You might have had various reasons to come, some because of the roleplay quality, others because of the gamemode, others because your friends play here and you followed them. But I want to make sure you always keep in mind the most important reason for GTAW to exist and the most important one you should remember, because It was not always granted and I personally fought for it : Values. The first value that GTAW is built upon is that we are all players. You, me, administrators. You might see me troll on Discord, share memes, my discord is 24/7 opened for every players to speak with, and this shall continue as much as possible. Of course I sometimes cannot answer some messages, I have a real life work that forces me to balance both and miss few things, but in general you know I'm fullfiling this "open communication" mindset. No administrators shall make you feel inferior, or think that they are protected because they could have became our friends. Some of you here thought this and got quickly removed. I have lost many friends in the past months managing this server, some have completely cut contact because they could not understand how as Founder of GTAW I could remove them whereas they've known me for years. And some understood and are still my friends today, as players. All administrators also have to sign an "Administration values" thread which reminds them about all this upon joining the team, which you can find below: Never aim for bans, but for awareness and teaching. If a player is doing an obvious mistake in your eyes, he might just need few explanations to get back on tracks and become a good roleplayer. Always stay available for players: I do want all of you to answer players on discord, private messages, etc.. when they are looking for information or have questions. We're not a millions players wide community, and forcing everyone to "follow the process" by going on forum or make a /report ingame just to ask you a simple question is only creating distance in our relationship with players. If I manage to answer every single discord message I receive, and PMs, you can too. Due to your roles, some of you are authorized to handle communications on forum only and not discord to keep track of it directly. Do not handle reports where your faction is involved: I know all of you were recruited because we consider you unbiased and excellent roleplayers, but we have more than enough staff members to handle a specific situation / report instead of you If your faction is involved and we want to show players that we're acting fair for both parties at all time. This does not apply to LSPD If no other administrators are available. Never keep a doubt or a question unanswered: If you have any question to ask the management or another administrator, do it. We're here to be fully transparent with you and answer every questions. From service finances to a personal question about your life, we will never deny your question. Be fair and neutral with players: We expect you to always be fair when making a decision and weight all the impacts your final decision will have. Make sure you have understood the full context, gathered the different point of view and evidence as we may challenge your decision at any time If we believe It wasn't following the server values. Always remain professional and calm: You'll encounter players that do not share our views of what a community is, they might attack you or insult you, and force you to react in a bad way. You must always remain professional when writing to players, approach them professionally and never allow your anger to be visible, which could lead to you being disrespectful or rude. The founder is a player, you are a player, we're all a community of players: No one is better than anyone else or above anyone. We are all a roleplay community and you must never consider yourself superior to another player because you're a staff member or because you think that you have more knowledge than another player. You're here to make this community better, improve it, guide it, protect it, but not to act like a god. Now, this doesn't mean all your staff reports are valid and you may chain report administrators everytime they do not rule in your favor, but It does mean that we are promising you that our management team will review your report in a 100% neutral way and by putting aside any friendship, bounds or needs it may have with the reported administrator. And I thank @Notbond again for always being here helping me with these, because It is really not an easy job to handle these reports and to take important decisions from them. I hope that you will all understand that these words I share with you are very important to me, and I hope they are to you too. I did wrote that GTAW was initially a selfish project, but all your support and good words during these years together have shown me that I was not the only one in need of such an environment, and that the happiness I can receive from your thanks makes me way happier than anything else I could receive while roleplaying. I might have not found the time to roleplay since release, but I found the time to make almost 25 000 players roleplay on an environment I wish I could roleplay on, and to receive hundreds of thank you. You do not know the strength of few good words, sent to me or an administrator that did help you, so make sure you always think about giving us some appreciation If you're happy, It always makes my day, as I wish I help yours being a good day too! Nothing is perfect and GTAW is far from it, but we're trying our best to fix what you complain on sometimes. 1.5 Release We're getting closer to update 1.5 release : Join us Wednesday 13/03 at 9PM servertime for a reveal stream that will end with a surprise for everyone !

  2. The Dream Black Organized Crime is a term used to describe significant black African-American crime networks which demonstrate that not all African-American criminals are gang bangers whom affiliate themselves with color. Methods conspired two decades ago prove to be drastically out of date and perilous in the modern day world. The Black Organized crime was labeled such and gained traction when leaders participating in this means would sooner or later be arrested. They were however more experienced and resourceful than your typical street gangbanger, using modernized methods to establish themselves and survive as a unit. They weren't completely and firmly organized though, as ego and reputation amongst each other would conflict interests and/or relationships keeping them from developing towards world wide crime outfit. These individuals were exposed to the public through media growing them a notoriety. This causing the black youth to be influenced from the display of money, clothes, vehicles, and overall reputation that they would witness in their own neighborhood. Idolizing their lavish lifestyle would motivate the youth to gather and form small crews with the intent to replicate their idols success either by choice or being forced by poverty or family. The crews would run into situations in which they'd need defend themselves from a rival gang in nearby lower income areas. Many failed in several cases, leading to multiple deaths that would make others pursue a different less riskier route, forming connections and begin to network with other more powerful criminal organizations in an attempt to grow themselves once more with the keen interest of money made by a more professional, organized, and low-profile movement restraining from notoriety and attention to their actions. Current situation East Los Santos is vastly occupied by Mexican gangs that run the narcotics trade within a large scale area, consisting of most of the neighborhoods and even crime throughout urban areas. Anyone of brown or black skin complexion whom find themselves encountering the Mexican members are usually confronted and hustled for their belongings. Leaving the victims with two choices, either to stand their ground and retaliate in the situation before inevitably being overwhelmed by sheer numbers and influence that control the area or be forced to exile themselves from the city entirely. Although those who luckily obtain the third way to survive and pursue the American dream, earning a worthwhile income while carrying a name among fewer and trusted people. These units or crews vary on the manner they handle their business operation while sticking in the shadow and avoid unwanted recognition by keeping relationships with memorable individuals. Avoiding attention is the soul reason they manage to operate unnoticed unlike other gangs whom openly challenge their rivals. Currently the estimated ratio of Afro-Americans compared to the Mexicans in Rancho district is averaging to about thirty percent against sixty percent. Promoting a more invisible approach due to the area prevailing as much more of a dangerous threat for local black crews. The North Side Connection The name derived of an operation staying limited within reach of a block radius around their established neighborhood in Rancho, working on one ultimate goal, a well financial status whilst unknown to the law eye. Introduced by two peers with a hungry ambition to earn money with hopes to gain a relaxed lavish lifestyle. Committing crimes that would range between small time blue collar crimes to moving on and creating relationships with influential figures in the city, trying to establish their own identity and turf. The two peers grew close from their shared enticement for criminal activity being the means of money at an early age, learning from the older heads in the neighborhood basic street smarts and realism. Soon, a select few would witness a steep portion of their older affiliates or otherwise referred to as OG's lose their lives during a major feud between the North Side community older members and the occupying cartel. The consequence of this would leave a high scale of the gang stranded with one option like previously mentioned, moving residency or even changing states. Since the conflict reached its peak time has passed and both sides had gone into silence, proceeding to remain off the radar and work in secret, opening an opportunity for the newer North Side crew consisting of the small younger generation. The two grew trust and loyalty to each other and built motivation for easy cash. Staying in a difficult position for a weeks at a time. One of substantially taught youngings came to stumble across a few drug traffickers outside of his ethnicity and gain their attention. This select few would come to support the young hustler, providing him with a stable supply which he'd then distribute amongst the North Side pre mature crew. As money started to flow in, the original two street cats position themselves with leadership and produce work for their peers. The duo would soon run into a physical interrogation and robbery by the Mexicans. Experiencing the brutality of their attitude, the duo learned to avoid any encounter with the group by any means. This drama stains permanent mark in one of the young leaders, himself growing wary of the power and influence the Mexicans hold that promotes him to network wisely. Developing and sticking to certain adaptive methods they've created, the two continue their movement in solitary. Selling narcotics away from an open eye, choosing their encounters carefully, and building a safe profitable connection with future acquaintances in pursue of the American Dream. OOC Upon enlisting in ranks of the faction you are accepting CK clause under which your character can be killed if deemed necessary IC by the leaders of the faction. If you're planning to roleplay with us you're expected to follow servers rules at all times and do your most to uphold high quality roleplay and/or be willing to learn and improve it to fit the setting. Faction mostly consists of African-Americans of age from 16 - 22 years old. Exceptions are possible.

  3. It's only legal to break the speed limit and road law if you're being chased by someone who's clearly portraying a threat. A car following you isn't enough. Absolute no from me. Unmarked cops don't "force" you to do anything but to obey the law. If you are being stalked by a specific cop - then it's an IC issue that you should take to court/Internal Affairs. Alternatively, if you feel like LSPD member breaks a rule or shows some poor roleplay, you can always message @kilerbite and report any situation to him.

  4. Would anyone be interested in role playing out of Central Medical Center (Davis) for some medical role play? We would be a self made faction staring as self funded and hopefully through city grants for wages and costs we could grow into an actual legal faction with scripts for healing, a health insurance system etc. For now it would likely be rp as a small clinic within the hospital which would employ doctors, nurses, admin and hopefully a psychologist. We could hold AAA meetings as well as ones for Veterans/those with PTSD. We could buy a van to do needle drives and outreach programs etc. I believe we a good group we could create something beneficial to the city. https://discord.gg/B4tPb3d

  5. Dondre Stiles "Everybody gon' respect the shooter But the one in front of the gun lives forever " - Kendrick Lamar The north side of Rancho neighborhood is considered quiet compared to rest of the area infested with gang shootouts, drugs fiends and criminal rates above normal. Cause for the endless altercations in the area is suspected to be local Mexican gangs feuding with African-Americans and their criminal culture. Although at a numbers disadvantage African-Americans are part of this ecosystem. They always have to look over their shoulder to ensure that they are not about be attacked by the violent Mexicans. Among these blacks was Raynard "Butcher" Stiles and his family consisting of younger sibling and mother. Raynard was heavily involved with local Crip clique which was at constant war with surrounding Mexican crews and he was known on streets to have killed more Mexicans than any other of his peers. This was an achievement he got to brag about for relatively short time. One day he was taking his little brother to school and in drive-by minutes after leaving his block he was shot . He died at the place of the shooting while his little brother was taken to hospital and saved by the doctors. Clique lost a valuable member that day and solidified a legend about Raynard "Butcher" Stiles and set high expectations for his little brother Dondre Stiles. The crew Raynard was rolling with was being investigated by the DEA after his murder the crew got sloppy and that lead to suspicion of high amounts of drugs being distributed by his crew. It didn't take too long for the the federal law enforcement to take down three leaders of the crew which made rest of the members to flee out of the state or go in to hiding. Dondre was too young to be under any suspicion of involvement but he was well aware of his brothers business. Few years later Dondre learned about couple members of the old clique still residing in town and got in contact with them. They were very cautious about letting youngin go to streets and follow in his long deceased brothers footsteps. He didn't seem to have it in his blood at first. He got robbed several times by rival hoppers and Mexicans. Despite it he always returned to the OG's for more narcotics. To pay for the cocaine and weed he was stealing money from his mother and borrowed some from his friend. Slowly but surely he was learning the ropes and trying to figure out how to make more money. Eventually he made enough profit to pay back his mother and friend. Soon enough he realized that to move more product he needs more people. He sat down with his homie and had a long talk about forming a crew learning from mistakes of his brother. Soon enough he gathered a number of homies from the block and started to make connections with influential figures in the city to ensure that he can meet the demand he was mustering from local drug fiends and ballers around the city. His new schemes are working well but that isn't nearly enough for him. He has a dream he's processing in to a plan to reach the expectations left for him by his brother. Even now from time to time he visits Reynard's grave to remind himself why he's doing this and to pay respects to the "Butcher". Los Santos proved to be a perilous area for either side of the law. Dondre was taught this the hard way after an attempt to purchase narcotics for himself and his homies went south. The criminal group they approached for the service was opposite of welcoming and decided to run both youngsters for their money and punish them for being black. While Dondre's friend managed to escape with few bruises and mere shock Dondre was taken for a ride he can't forget. One of the Mexican females involved lost her temper after an answer to one of countless questions didn't satisfy her. After cutting both of his arms she proceeded to beat Dondre to pulp. Mexicans thinking that the young black took him out the Barrio and left him for dead in some trash. Luckily friend came to Dondres' rescue and confirmed a long lasting loyalty between the duo. To be continued... [I'm gonna be adding more story and adding details to it so criticism and tips are welcomed to my PMs]

  6. Hello, dear community! Bango Banks here. I got a "special case" for you today. I'll share my thoughts on the topic named in the title. This topic will be divided into two - my personal point of view and an objetctive point of view. So you can't suggest that I'm riled up on my personal emotions or whatever. I'll provide a picture and use your own judgement what's wrong with it. You are correct, reader! You're witnessing a Sultan RS infront of Mirror Fashion. That is not an admin on duty. Sultan RS is not available from any dealership and is considered an auction car. Feel free to take a peek into the auction section. No auction on Sultan RS, yet this guy has the car. Objective point of view Pascal has said himself that staff takes no individual requests concerning cars - any other unavailable property as well logically - that are not available on the server and dealerships. He also mentioned that PM's inboxes would flood with requests otherwise. This car here is obviously given to the player via request or something along those lines. For instance, my friend @Hani wrote a request and Pascal replied with the similar thought I mentioned in the first sentence. For some reason, guy on the picture is a subject to a "special case" and practice that has never conducted before. A special case, eh? Every player could generate a special cause to be a subject to a "special case". In no respect is this player the only one worthy of an unavailable car because let me tell you - this server flourishes with unique characters. Pretty dope, he built it. Nobody has ever done anything similar before. It's not the matter of the car itself, it's a matter of the principle. Unavailable cars will be made available to certain players with auctions. What's the point of holding auctions in the first place when players are able to obtain such cars without auctions?! As staff went down that road, there is a logical course of action: This guy loses his car OR Every other player gets a chance to obtain such cars WITHOUT auctions If you take your continuity seriously that you advocate, wipe off the spit you spluttered all over the face of community and address this inconsistency. My personal point of view Check this picture out. I find it disappointing and dreadful. Multiple days to two weeks - he probably waited 80% of the time for the reply. That's very cute. I roleplayed a construction firm for about ~4 months, then staff tells the community that construction is no more. How distorted does that seem IC? ? I'm not sure why. They get rid of the old system that was actually fine, even though there is not even a slight odor of implementing the new system into the server. IC'ly I accumulated a considerable amount of wealth. My take is that this is one of the reasons they shut us down, we were kind of the only construction firm, therefore we were dominating the market. I know for a fact that there were squealers, too lazy to start their own construcion firm to create competition. Easier way was to wet their eyes before the staff. Back to the topic - since I accumulated some wealth, can I request, for instance, a Nero or a T20? Given my case, I would just buy it from the dealership IC'ly, Mr. Samuel built it. In the end of the day, general idea is the same - we are getting stuff without the auction. What are your thoughts, everyone?

  7. Glad to see the values expected out of our administrators reiterated, though I'm not entirely certain the entirety of the administrative staff abide by them. Throughout my little over a year here, though, Nervous has steered this community in the right direction. By and large the administrators do abide by the values listed above, though I'd like to see more impartiality expressed by some that have personal friendships with player or groups of players. By addressing this readily, I think Nervous shows that he understands the concerns of a lot of the player-base, and I have full faith that this community will continue to head in the right direction! Excited for 1.5!

  8. Sums it up neatly. PD use unmarked vehicles for various purposes and there is a difference between an unmarked unit driven by a uniformed officer and one driven by a detective; so if you see a detective on apparent traffic duty that's an issue.

  9. You have understood it well in your first part : it would decrease the amount of money received by (some) players by around 80%.

  12. Please God no. Don't do it. The last thing I think we need is people watching dots to take cues for their RP instead of letting a situation play out organically. I think it fosters a point of if they see the dots and then don't see them because the person is rethinking their statement, it leads to people becoming impatient. If you're worried about people AFK, put the actual AFK marker above their head.

  18. That bonus leads to most people being lazy, and giving up because they don't feel satisfaction from getting that money on their own. Other people just roll with it, because they're set for some time and they don't give a shit about working. And there's people like me, who wanna use it to do something, but everything is way too expensive. Oh well, fuck me sideways. Fortunately, the system is changing and Kudos to Pascal, for making me less anxious and worried about the future roleplay of my character.

  21. Smart Loans Business Statistics Smart Loans Business Statistics for 28th December 2018 - 11th February 2019. Client Statistics Client Status The pie chart to the left displays the current statuses of all our clients for the above-given date. As of right now most of our clients are under the "Novice" rank, this rank is obtained automatically as a new client of Smart Loans. The "Trusted" rank can be obtained by simply completing a singular loan contract with Smart Loans, by acquiring this specific rank, you gain benefits and advantages. The "Banned" status is given to clients who were untrustworthy, fraudulent, scammy, aggressive, or otherwise shady to any of our Smart Loans team members. This status is given to clients with safety in mind in order to prevent further trouble by disallowing those to use our beneficial services in the future permanently. The "Deceased" status is given to clients who are known to have passed away ever since their first contact with our firm. Client Gender The pie chart to the right displays the current genders of all our clients for the above-given date. As of right now, our clients are predominantly male, indicating perhaps that the female society within the state of San Andreas is more well-off than the male counterpart. Smart Loans is very much open and looking forward to work with other genders besides the current two which we have been involved with so far. Client Occupations The pie chart to the left displays the current occupations of all our clients for the above-given date. As seen in the pie chart, we have quite a wide spread of occupations, clients sourcing from numerous different backgrounds with different levels of wealth. Our services are for everyone seeking financial help, no matter what your position within our society. Loan Statistics Loan Types The pie chart to the right displays the most popular types of loans for the above-given date throughout our clientele who have signed on contracts. The most widely chosen out of the currently available loan types are "Dealership Vehicles", followed right by "Real-Estate Property" and finally "Used Vehicles". Unfortunately, our loan type for "Business Properties" has not made an appearance just yet. We're currently looking to fund businesses which are just starting out in the attempts to support new-business owners in their most vulnerable state. Loan Contract Statuses The pie chart to the left displays the current statuses of all our signed loan contracts for the above-given date. Any loan contracts marked as "Terminated" mean that the contract has been invalidated due to problems with the signed client failing to uphold their end of the promise. This resulted in the seizure of their collateral. Luckily, this percentage is quite small and we intend to keep it that way for the foreseeable future. Any loan contracts listed as "Complete" mark the contract's final and official end. The client has paid their debts in full and due to this they possibly acquired a new rank in our trust system. Any loan contracts with the "Signed" status, show that the contract is currently still on-going and that the client has yet to pay their debts in full. Financial Statistics Loan Outflow The line graph to the right displays the loan outflow over-time. Considering that our firm has opened up on the 26th of December 2018, we hadn't had much time to grow our loan outflow during the month of December, only managing to loan out as little as $185,000. In the month of January, we were able to quadruple this figure and then some by having money in constant circulation between clients. The money paid back by one's debts is then used for another's loan contract. This sort of method allows us to grow exponentially. Considering we are only in our second week of February, we haven't yet reached or surpassed our January's milestone just yet, however, with our estimates and if they are correct, we'll be looking to go beyond it without any doubts. This line graph also displays a small trend line which shows the general direction in which our loan outflow is heading towards. Loan Contract Statuses The line graph to the left displays the general income over-time from complete loan contracts as a source only. Note that there are no statistics for the month of December, the reason for this being that money all signed loans during that particular month did not require any payments to be received until the following month. The "Gross Income" line displays the amount of gross income, calculated on both the original principal amount of a loan contract + the interest rate paid back. The "Net Income" line displays the amount of raw profit made from loan contracts after deductions from the original loan outflow. Expected Gross Income The line graph to the right displays the expected gross income over-time from on-going and still valid loan contracts as a source only. The "Expected Gross Income" line displays the amount of expected gross income, calculated on both the original principal amount of a loan contract + the interest rate which is required to be paid back.

  22. I'm glad that you're reminding everyone of your values and keeping them in mind even 2 years later. I fully support your "idea" of the perfect community, and I will be here as a player to enjoy it. The environment is what I've been looking for for a long time. I've never had any issues here personally. I know others who have, but again, all the processes to me, have seemed fair and just. I appreciate you posting the administrator values for the public to see. It's good to see some of the core concepts your team are bound by in the execution of their duties. We're all looking forward to 1.5, lets see what the future holds.
