you can do that once you show receipts and other information that you've legally obtained this weapon.

all firearm purchases are logged on the mdc

how are you gonna do that with an illegal pistol

This may be a good avenue for the police to take illegal guns off the streets, actually, by having them cycled through and resold or recognized as legal after they've been processed as long as they're not officially tied to a crime. You'd just give them a call, ask them if they can add it to their database, and bam - the gun's made legal by the police, as they can now track or better than before.

Real suggestion would be to add a Stechkin full-auto pistol. Basically a Makarov but it goes brrrr

a makarov can easily go brrrr too but thats another topic 😀

anyways bring makarovs to shops

If there is demand someone will bring it into their Shop. In US there are lots of Makarovs, both in California and other states. There would be an already legal weapon registered with the USGOV.

There would be all sort of strange weapons for sale. There is no point in assuming that it is illegal, expensive or amything. There are a lot of private sellers selling odd guns legally.

This has many flaws...

So much liability letting a local police body manage the registering of firearms for the entire state of San Andreas. This is why the United States has no national registry and why you see it all done at the Federal level of government.

Alas, we do not have a federal body. This method would at the least give one avenue for law-abiding persons to obtain black market goods via IC means instead of vying for an OOC solution that may never actually work or be allowed anyway.

Sure, so are we going to then RP stamping and registering all of these illegal guns? The chances of that happening are slim to none, its unnecessary. Who would manage and oversee that?
