September is a busy month for everyone as college/school has started back up, unfortunately summer is now over! We are now entering the fall spooky season this month! This is one of our biggest staff updates in a while, lots of new faces and promotions! Development Update There's a few development updates we are going to highlight this staff update, the development team has been working hard on pushing more updates and making small changes/fixes to improve the server and the quality of roleplay on the server. Racing System was added in on September 9th giving some factions and even businesses to create racing courses that are timed for players. This is a good quality of roleplay implementation especially for like SAMRA and other racing associations. New speedometer which almost everyone has noticed was added in on September 21st. It gives more details and extra icons to determine whether your check engine light is on instead of seeing it in the chat and if you are trying to figure which blinker is on but not all models show but that clicking noise is going on! Spoiler -Station Duty was added in showing if a Police station or Sheriffs station has someone working on the desk, certain buildings have this option so that way you know it's open and being actively tended to if you want to ask questions IC or even interact with someone there. -Images can now be sent via texts in-game which is great and eliminates the need to have to send pictures through other means keeping it purely in character. 808masterus wants to know which fit is better. Spoiler Greatly appreciate the development team of GTA World constantly working hard on improving the server on all aspects, it's never easy working on these systems and testing them to ensure there's no bugs that way everyone has an enjoyable experience when using these features. Message from Staff Management Staff Management has moved our staff reports on to the User Control Panel, this is to ensure staff reports are not lost in communication via Forum PMs and helps with a more efficient system for us to keep better track of reports. We are still working on compiling and concluding our staff reports that are still via the forum PM method as we are adjusting with the new system on the UCP. Bear with us while we are handling the staff reports via the forum PM and focus on the UCP. We're also working on breakin requests, we're aware these are a pain point for our team, and for the community, and it's something we've invested time into being more proactive with to ensure they're not hanging around, and ensuring that there's comfort with admins taking and handling them. We'll be opening discussions with the Illegal FM team regarding this to ensure that we can pinpoint any issues and ensure they work and operate smoothly for everyone. We'd also like to Welcome Giga and Olivia to the Staff Management team! Giga has been working with the Support-side, whilst Olivia is doing work with the Staff Relations team, and we're really happy to have them working with us! Message from Illegal Faction Management We would like to congratulate Naeno for his promotion to both Senior IFM Administrator and Senior Server Administrator, he has been an integral part of our team for the past few months. Naeno has been tirelessly aiding every aspect of our team, his work has been nothing but stellar, we're more than lucky to have him within our team. Congratulations Naeno. Message from Forum Moderation During the past month, Forum Moderation has taken as a priority to tackle down the number of reports that were pending either from administrators that left the staff team or that for other reasons could not handled the reports on a timely manner. Our goal since the creation of the team has been to lower the amount of time that a player has to wait in order to get their reports or refund requests handled but also to relief some workload from the other subteams, by handling Forum Work. With this being said, we have brought up new people in the team this month and kept the reports section reduced to 1 page for the majority of the month. I would like to personaly thank to everyone in the Forum Moderation team that has actively contributed this summer to keep the reports page on a decent number and allow our community to not wait for a long period. With roughly 1125 froum reports concluded during the summer period, when each one of us also gets busier with our life affairs, I cannot express enough grattitude for all of the work that has been done by Forum Moderation but also by our Staff Team as a whole. We hope that everyone enjoys this month of October and we will do our best to keep the community satisfied with the wait time on the reports but also on other requests.
