Aren't the changes in the robbery rules questionable?

Constant toxicity in this thread. Will be handing punishments to whoever chooses to continue.

This is the actual solution to the problem. But when you have experienced members of the admin team giving off verbal warnings to blatant DM crews who have long admin records already (and not even voiding the shit tier RP either...) then nothing will change. Restrictions only work when they're actually enforced. The admin team can continue to add restriction after restriction but if the people who the restrictions target are just getting verbal warnings, it just hurts the actual illegal RPers who bring something good to the server.

This isn't a new rule, but a clarification. You couldn't involve a vehicle for a mugging before either but people didn't seem to think that way.

That said, you can /report and ask for permission to use a vehicle for a mugging. Of course, most people don't want to do this because that means an admin gets involved (not pointing at those who do care, but those who are only after the asset gain and not the RP/development).

The handling admin should be able to guide you through the process in case the answer is a 'no', explain why, and maybe offer alternatives.

Sadly, this is needed. There are just too many people wanting to RP crooks and legal RPers were constantly being harassed at gunpoint and put in situations where they really couldn't do much more than comply. For every criminal playing with you and letting you interact, there are ten that'd rush the whole thing and shoot you if you don't comply almost immediately. Rules like these help even out the field, and instead of getting 50 reports about sub-par robberies... We get 5 or so.

@Road Hitter says you're exaggerating. Who's telling the truth here?

Either way, you should at least be able to use a vehicle to park a few blocks down.

Of course, most people don't want to do this because it will take 10 years to be responded to most of the time*

I'm making it all up... exposed 😞

If you look like trouble, some will definitely avoid you. If you don't? Well. Someone's gonna end up smelling your innocence, turn on those Witcher senses and pray for that rare PF weapon drop on-kill/rob. You don't have to believe me, dress up in regular clothes with a SFW haircut and take a stroll around. Bonus points if it's peak or low-pop hours. Where you hang out doesn't really matter, except on SC. That's like... Cheating...

That defeats the purpose of having the rule in the first place and only serves to get people in unwarranted trouble, it opens up the opportunity for us admins to each come up with different outcomes for similar situations

ive been suggesting this for a long time, if you're gonna put all of this red tape on making an unofficial faction, make the restrictions of robbing with a car not apply to unofficial groups. A higher trust is being put in these groups, which is why they have to submit a application to even become a faction in the first place.

A majority of the poor roleplay comes from Davis roleplayers who do nothing more than troll at the LTD and shoot people; not unofficial groups who put actual time into developing their characters. If a group is found to be doing poor quality muggings, have their permissions to commit these restricted.

Also, would I get ajailed if I walked from Vespucci to Mirror Park to rob someone? As you know, we're roleplaying a west coast city and the heat is intense? 😛

The time that will take for the criminal to identify the victim and set a plan of action, and then report for an admin...the victim can literally go eat dinner, watch a movie and then log off before the report gets answered by somebody. This causes it to be pointless, since you can't force him to wait for an admin to accept your robbery request.

I am in no way saying It's the admin's fault, they get hundreds of reports and have to keep up with them but those terms will only increase the amount of workload.
