  1. Username: Min.Seo-Hee Comment: I love a good satire piece, well written and gave me a good laugh. Well done! 🙂
  2. Detailed Description The hat below was removed at the last clothing update (due to the GTA update). I personally think it was accidentally added to the blacklist for faction clothing. However, the hat has a clear anchor on it, showing its a marine/navy/maritime hat. For that reason I believe it shouldn't be restricted, as civillian captains on ships are able to obtain such a hat relatively easy (I believe they even get one in some states when they get their boating license). In my specific case, as exemple, the hat was used for the top rank (Commodore) in my company's maritime fleet. Relevant Commands/Items How will it benefit the server? It would un-restrict clothing that shouldn't be restricted in the first place.
  3. Los Santos Transit is a government owned public transport company supervised by Jenna Gardiner.
  4. Detailed Description Currently, /vget is an unorganised mess which sometimes makes it hard to spawn the right vehicle in. Like with me, I have 4 jetskis in my business. I have no idea whichone to spawn in, or to direct an admin to incase neccesary. Its also a big mess when you have more than 4 vehicles, so the abillity to re-order it or to have atleast vehicles grouped together would be amazing. However, what I am primairily suggesting, give us the abillity to give vehicles nicknames in /vget, like we can with phones! Relevant Commands/Items /vget How will it benefit the server? Its a nice quality of life update.
  5. Port Authority has twice expressed they are not interested in such a partnership or liaison. However, a different project is in the works in which they are interested, but due to PM regulations, I am not allowed to spearhead that as I already own a business. So thats currently on hold, unfortunately.
  6. THe main issues basicly with these kind of businesses is staffing and payment. Yesterday, I made $20.000 from my rentals, a record gross-profit which I still cant quite grasp. However, the day before that, I barely made $1200 from the rentals. This makes it highly impractical to hire someone for the rental services, while I do could use a second hand. Solution? Unpaid interns, which almost no one does in GTA:W, let alone in this area of operations. Now, we do operate tourings. However, I can't do those alone, and I'd need to hire a Captain for that. Captains usually get paid a lot. But can i pay them? Absolutely not; I simply do not make enough money for that. So, I thought of a commission system; the Captain keeps X percent of ticket sales. Does this attract players, no, because they can make more by bartending or guarding a club. If budget requests were a bit more lenient to these businesses, we'd be able to provide more roleplay simply by paying our staff appropiately. Sure, I could increase ticket prices, leading to less sales, and to less profit. I mean, the romantic sunset tour is already $800.
  7. Hi there! Well, I can tell you tis not an easy thing to do. Min's Maritime started in September and only now is it really starting ti kick in. At start, it was merely 1 ship doing fishing and offering people a ridealong. Nowadays its a large business well established in the server with rental services and a multitude of events, projects and clients. I can tell you it is a niche concept, and due to this, its very hard to actually earn a stable income enough to pay employees. Since September, I've been running the business compeltely alone, and its starting to take a toll on business progression. At this point, I simply need employees to keep expanding the way I want. However, not many people are willing to try the roleplay out, let alone have a leading role in it. In the end it all comes down to pioneering. I dare to say that a big inspiration with this hard will and hard work is @lux. She started, asfar as I remember, with the lifeguard section of FD untill it became its own entity. It started from nothing, with little hope of becoming something. Now look at the amazing roleplay displayed. After that adventure, she started Hawaiian Snow; an other very niche concept now worth millions. @Alyssa McCarthy is an other exemple. Who is willing to roleplay school when they get home from school? Well, thats what they told Alyssa too. ULSA is now the 2nd biggest faction of the server. It takes hard will hard work, and an iron motivation to get through the first period of something niche. Anyone can achieve it, the challange is to get past the first few months with little to no interest from others.
  8. Rent also possible? Desperate need of a home, but unable to afford one. Owner of a maritime company.
  9. What got me worried is people never selling their 300K rancho units to people actually seeking to roleplay in the area as gang member, but are simply unable to because they can not afford such a scam price. Housing for gang roleplayers is already limited to the max, and pricing like this only makes it worse.
  10. Detailed Description Add a permanent selling price cap to properties. Recently a thread popped up thats asking for $300.000 for a Rancho Project Housing Unit. Its not against the rules to ask 300K for such a place, but it isn't realistic or RPQM-standard either. I don't think the below topic exemple is the appropiate intention of the property rules. I suggest a cap per map region, determined by the PM staff. How will it benefit the server? Prices such as the below wont appear anymore and people wont sell their properties like they're Tinsel Tower Apartments (like below).
  11. Congratz on getting official! Well deserved 🙂 Take it far!
  12. (sorry for double post) Isnt it an option to auto-lock reports after they're posted? I think that would help a lot. Then when an admin picks it up, he/she can unlock it and ask what he/she needs to know.
  13. If you read a bit further, you can clearly see me proposing an admin atleast posting ''handling'' on a report within 7 days. After that they can take aslong as they want, but the fact that we'd have a point of contact already eases a lot up. Reaching out to admins after a report hasn't been looked at gets me the same answer over and over again; ''it will be picked up when its being looked at.'' < this isn't what I call an answer, its what I call avoiding to answer, honestly.
  14. There is a function on the forum permissions called auto-lock. It auto-locks a topic untill an admin unlocks it.
  15. Detailed Description So lets be honest to ourselves here. This topic has been brought up numerous times over and over and over again, yet its never fully solved; response times to reports. Lets take a good luck at the problem from an analysis standpoint, and the opinion on both sides. The current problem is reports that mostly take up weeks or even months to get even a ''handling'' response, which indicates an admin has picked up the report. Some reports even become completely obsolete, or the reporting party no longer feels the need to pursue it; because they don't feel heard or listened to. Reports start piling up, more pages get added to the report section, leading up to a clogged and messy report section. Some people even forget they got reported or have made a report. In severe cases, reports are trashed because of their age, and some players get punished for offenses a few months old. On the other hand, administrators are volunteers. They put their free time into a game they also wish to enjoy for themselves. They did not sign up to be an admin 24/7; that is a fact which is understandable. They are players too and also wish to enjoy their game like anyone else. Some reports take ages to go through, some reports are controversial, some reports are simply left there by other admins with the thought ''someone else will handle it''. Point making: it is a huge burden that doesn't neccesary add to the great expirience some might expect from their position. Sure, admins want to help players, but the workload is sometimes too high. Now that we laid out any arguements, we need to seek out a permanent solution to the matter. I am proposing the following: Set out a fixed time for a report to be taken into ''handling'' status; lets say for the purpose of this thread; 1 week. A report must be picked up in 7 days maximum, before a so called timer expires (SLA Timer as we call it in the business world). What happens after that, is that people may file a complaint towards management. I also suggest a grace period. If reports get so dated to the point they're months old and people get punished for things they barely even remember (like a ban or AJail) the report should be trashed still, but it should also reflect back on the admin's record and the reported party, if actually guilty, should still face an administrative warning. Will this put more strain on an administrator's duties? No. After ''handling'' is posted, the admin can take aslong as he or she wants. But atleast then the involved parties have a point of contact. The current policy leaves everyone invovled in the dark and in uncertaincy. For instance, why should I personally keep expanding and growing my IC business when its uncertain if I'll even be in the server in a few weeks? How will it benefit the server? Reports wont be ignored anymore because they look less appealing to a volunteer.
  16. Detailed Description I suggest to add the golfcart to the dealership. Many people IRL in the county use it, countryclubs use it, and companies on large plots of land use them. They shouldn’t be behind a leasing system considering their wide range of uses and cheap price. Relevant Commands/Items Golfcart How will it benefit the server? A cheap and usefull vehicle added to the dealerships, free for purchase to anyone.
