  1. I barely have time to commit to gtaw in general man or else i would
  2. Why would the racist, militaristic white inmates shout racist, militaristic white slogans whilst doing militaristic workouts? Idk man u tell me. I don't see the provoking that you're talking about coming from actual faction members, I do see it coming from Jcats which is a big distinction. Not every black car member is a jcat, the same way every white car member isn't a neo nazi irl who's soul focus is to provoke black inmates to live out their personal power fantasy. You seem to have a very lackluster understanding of not just jailrp, but how gang rp ties into it. If you PC up in jail (which is always an option unless deputies aren't on), whichever STG you PC'd up to get away from can just get a street gang that falls under them to kill you when you get out. So most people elect to roll with the program so to speak, the people who don't are labeled as j-cats which are to be removed from the pod by any means necessary. I can see where your coming from with the first half but the rest just seems personally motivated.
  3. I think this was a great comment all around bc it touches on some of the main problems with jail rp; spotty SD activity (which has gotten better ill admit), and the sparsely interspersed, stale events that everyone has been apart of at least twice. What do I mean by that? The fact that we as jail rpers get little support from SD as of now limits the scope of our roleplay HEAVILY. Jail is run by law enforcement IRL, you eat, work out, shower, do everything with a guard watching you. That simply just isnt how it is on the server right now. I would like to see a large SD presence in jail which would then foster new roleplay in the illegal side of things, such as being more afraid of getting caught thus incentivizing being smart ICly and creating plans before you do illegal things, more frequent events (events being commissary, chow, shower, yard, etc), higher quality events, work details like we had back in the day where you can try to smuggle back contraband to be used for role play purposes such as hypodermic needles for drug users, metal for knives, or even planned dead drops where STGs can plant contraband with outside help for it to be smuggled back. Another thing is I would like more traffic through the jail, instead of it being an empty, wasted interior. Someone has said something similar before, but I thought I'd bring it up again. All these events would be a way to increase the traffic within the jail. My next suggestion might be crazy, but hear me out. You should be able to have two schemes per UCP, one for a street character, and one for a jail character. Asides from the obvious fact that this would foster even more roleplay within the jail, it would give people something to do during off hours when everyone would usually be sitting at a table. I've had a lot of ideas for jail schemes and I've even seen some come to fruition during my time on here. One idea I saw someone do was to have their underlings hide drugs on the yard, and he would sell them using his smuggled phone to contact NPC'd inmates in other pods. There is so much unrealized potential for jail rp, but jail rpers cant do it all on their own. Edit: I realize that I went on a tangent and the main issue was the 3-CO rule, which I wasn't a big fan of when it was first instituted, but I've come to respect it. I think the only change should be that you require 2 deputies on to commit violence of any kind, unless its fists only and in a cell. My reasoning is that we already usually have 2 deputies on most of the time and when they call for an ERT and lock themselves in the bubble, theres usually 15 more deputies on the way after that. Edit #2: Regarding shanks, I think you guys are totally misguided on that front. I have no clue what the problem is with the shanks as of now. Its a mandatory rule ICly in both the white car and eme that you have to be 'tool'd up' at all times. Stabbings are always the last resort and I personally only use my shank when I'm told to by a higher up. I actually personally have a few problems with the way shanks are done, but you guys might not agree. I think you should be able to make as many switchblades and knives as your character could feasibly produce ICly as IRL in the jail/prison system, being a shank salesman is quite the lucrative trade due to the mandatory rules that "every house must have a sword" and what not. Limiting the amount a person can make just seems OOCly motivated to the highest degree as I can't remember the last time someone was reported for using/making a shank improperly. If you can, lmk. Also, I think you should be able to make switchblades AND knives AND maybe even bigger weapons if you have an IFM approved scheme.
  4. In my opinion, the gun laws/system on world are completely unrealistic and are clearly geared towards keeping guns in the hands of a few people who are deemed able to "handle" such a responsibility. In a phrase, guns are gatekept. If you think that gatekeeping is a good thing, well you're one of the few who actually benefits from this system. Everyone else has to settle with switchblades and brass knuckles made from car bumpers, or even worse, hammers from the hardware store. You don't promote good roleplay by having everyone disarmed, you kill it. I get the argument that if guns are made /too/ easy to get, trolls could become a problem, but you're handicapping the few at the expense of the many when you think this way. Like the person who started this thread said, just ban people who break the rules blatantly with firearms. It's one of the most long running issues on world that guns are way too hard to get your hands on unless you rob a legal roleplayer, are a legal roleplayer, or have contact with/are a supplier. I just don't get why we have such stringent gun laws on a video game, much less a video game based on the United States. There's literally no good reason to have them. Quit gatekeeping guns guys, it doesn't make your dick bigger to have 5000 pistol ammo and twenty glocks in your pinv. Thanks for coming to my TED Talk.
